Catholic Mass Today I Daily Holy Mass I Wednesday March 25 2026 I English Holy Mass
Transcript
00:14Today is the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord Jesus.
00:18So we start in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
00:24Peace be with you.
00:25We acknowledge our sins, but more importantly, the compassion of God.
00:31You became incarnate and one of us, Lord, have mercy.
00:35You were born of Mary, one of us, Christ, have mercy.
00:41You forgive our sins, Lord, have mercy.
00:45May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:54Today, even though it's Lent, because it is such a very important feast, we do pray the Gloria together.
01:05Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of goodwill.
01:10We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you.
01:14We give you thanks for your great glory.
01:17Lord God, Heavenly King, O God Almighty Father, Lord Jesus Christ, only begotten Son.
01:24Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on
01:30us.
01:30You take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.
01:34You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
01:37For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ,
01:44with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father.
01:48Amen.
01:50Let us pray.
01:58O God, who willed that your word should take on the reality of human flesh in the womb of the
02:04Virgin Mary,
02:05grant we pray that we who confess our Redeemer to be God and human may merit to become partakers even
02:13in his divine nature,
02:14who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
02:20Amen.
02:27A reading from the prophet Isaiah.
02:31The Lord spoke to Ahaz and said,
02:35Ask the Lord your God for a sign for yourself, coming either from the depths of Sheol or from the
02:41heights above.
02:42No, Ahaz answered.
02:44I will not put the Lord to the test.
02:47Then Isaiah said,
02:49Listen now, house of David,
02:52are you not satisfied with trying the patience of man without trying the patience of God too?
02:57The Lord himself, therefore, will give you a sign.
03:00It is this,
03:02The maiden is with child and will soon give birth to a son whom she will call Emmanuel,
03:08a name which means God is with us.
03:40The word of the Lord.
03:42My God, I delight in your law, in the depth of my heart.
03:46Here am I, Lord, I come to do your will.
03:50Your justice I have proclaimed in the great assembly.
03:55My lips I have not sealed.
03:58You know it, O Lord.
04:01Here am I, Lord, I come to do your will.
04:04I have not hidden your justice in my heart, but declared your faithful help.
04:09I have not hidden your love and your truth from the great assembly.
04:14Here am I, Lord, I come to do your will.
04:19A reading from the letter to the Hebrews.
04:22Bull's blood and goat's blood are useless for taking away sins.
04:30And this is what Christ said on coming into the world.
04:35You who wanted no sacrifice or oppression prepared a body for me.
04:40You took no pleasure in holocaust or sacrifices for sin.
04:44Then I said, just as I was commanded in the scroll of the book,
04:50God, here I am.
04:53I am coming to obey your will.
04:56Notice that he says first,
04:58you did not want what the law lays down as the things to be offered.
05:04That is, the sacrifices, the oblations, the holocausts,
05:10and the sacrifices for sin.
05:12And you took no pleasure in them.
05:15And then he says, here I am.
05:17I am coming to obey your will.
05:20He is abolishing the first sword to replace it with the second.
05:25And this will for us be made holy by the offering of his body,
05:32made once and for all by Jesus Christ.
05:36The word of the Lord.
05:39Thanks be to God.
05:41A reading.
05:42The Lord be with you.
05:45A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Luke.
05:48Glory to you, O Lord.
05:52The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth,
05:56to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph,
06:00of the house of David.
06:02And the virgin's name was Mary.
06:04He went in and said to her,
06:07Rejoice, so highly favored.
06:09The Lord is with you.
06:11She was deeply disturbed by these words
06:14and asked herself what this greeting could mean.
06:17But the angel said to her,
06:20Mary, do not be afraid.
06:21You have won God's favor.
06:23Listen, you are to conceive and bear a son,
06:26and you must name him Jesus.
06:29He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High.
06:33The Lord God will give him the throne of his ancestor David.
06:37He will rule over the house of Jacob forever,
06:40and his reign will have no end.
06:43Mary said to the angel,
06:45But how can this come about,
06:47since I am a virgin?
06:49The Holy Spirit will come upon you,
06:51the angel answered,
06:53and the power of the Most High will cover you with his shadow.
06:57And so the child will be holy,
06:59and will be called Son of God.
07:02Know this, too.
07:04Your kinswoman Elizabeth has,
07:06in her old age,
07:07herself conceived a son.
07:09And she,
07:09whom people call barren,
07:11is now in her sixth month.
07:13For nothing is impossible to God.
07:16I am the handmaid of the Lord,
07:19said Mary,
07:20that what you have said
07:21be done to me.
07:23And the angel left her.
07:27The Gospel of the Lord.
07:29Praise to you,
07:30Lord Jesus Christ.
07:34You notice,
07:35today is the 25th of the month,
07:37and Christmas is exactly nine months away.
07:41So this is the time,
07:43this feast of the incarnation,
07:45when Mary said yes,
07:47to becoming the mother of the Son of God.
07:50That woman of faith,
07:51who trusted,
07:52though she could not fully understand the consequences,
07:55she said yes.
07:57In this time of Lent,
07:59as we celebrate this feast,
08:01we are also called to say,
08:04yes.
08:05Am I prepared to take the risk of faith?
08:08Lord, help me to do so.
08:26Today, we also say the Creed,
08:29because of the special nature of this feast.
08:31I believe in God,
08:33the Father Almighty,
08:34Creator of heaven and earth,
08:36and in Jesus Christ,
08:38His only Son, our Lord,
08:39who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
08:42born of the Virgin Mary,
08:43suffered under Pontius Pilate,
08:46was crucified,
08:47died, and was buried.
08:48He descended into hell.
08:50On the third day,
08:52He rose again from the dead.
08:53He ascended into heaven,
08:55and is seated at the right hand of God,
08:57the Father Almighty.
08:59From there,
09:00He will come to judge the living and the dead.
09:02I believe in the Holy Spirit,
09:04the Holy Catholic Church,
09:05the communion of saints,
09:07the forgiveness of sins,
09:09the resurrection of the body,
09:10and life everlasting.
09:12Amen.
09:18Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
09:21for to your goodness we have this bread to offer,
09:23which earth has given,
09:24human hands have made.
09:26It will become for us the bread of life.
09:28Blessed be God forever.
09:47Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation,
09:50for to your goodness we have this wine to offer,
09:52fruit of divine work of human hands,
09:54it will become our spiritual drink.
09:57Blessed be God forever.
10:09Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
10:11that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God,
10:14our Almighty Father.
10:15May the Lord accept the sacrifice at our hands
10:18to the praise and glory of God's name,
10:20for our good and the good of God's holy church.
10:24Be pleased, almighty God,
10:26to accept your church's offering,
10:28so that she who is aware
10:30that her beginnings lie in the incarnation
10:33of your only begotten Son,
10:35may rejoice to celebrate his mysteries
10:37on this solemnity,
10:38who lives and reigns forever and ever.
10:41Amen.
10:44The Lord be with you.
10:46Lift up your hearts.
10:48Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
10:52It is truly right and just,
10:54our duty and our salvation,
10:57always and everywhere to give you thanks,
11:00Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal God,
11:03through Christ our Lord.
11:05For the Virgin Mary heard with faith
11:07that the Church was to be born among human beings
11:10for our sake,
11:12by the overshadowing power of the Holy Spirit.
11:16Lovingly, she bore him in her Immaculate womb,
11:20that the promises to the children of Israel
11:23may come about
11:24and the hope of nations be accomplished
11:26beyond all telling.
11:28Through him, the host of angels adores you
11:31and rejoices in your presence forever.
11:34May our voices, we pray,
11:36may join with this
11:36in one chorus of exultant praise
11:39as we acclaim,
11:40Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts,
11:44heaven and earth are full of your glory.
11:47Hosanna in the highest.
11:49Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
11:52Hosanna in the highest.
11:56You are indeed holy, O Lord,
11:58the fount of all holiness.
12:00Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
12:02by sending down your Spirit upon them
12:04like the dewfall,
12:06so that they may become for us
12:08the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
12:11At the time he was betrayed
12:13and entered willingly into his passion,
12:16he took bread,
12:17and giving thanks, broke it,
12:19and gave it to his disciples,
12:21saying,
12:21Take this, all of you, and eat of it,
12:24for this is my body,
12:25which will be given up for you.
12:35In a similar way,
12:37when supper was ended,
12:38he took the chalice,
12:39and once more giving thanks,
12:41he gave it to his disciples,
12:43saying,
12:44Take this, all of you,
12:45and drink from it,
12:46for this is the chalice of my blood,
12:49the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
12:52which will be poured out for you
12:54and for many for the forgiveness of sins.
12:57Do this in memory of me.
13:08The mystery of faith.
13:10Save us, Savior of the world,
13:12for by your cross and resurrection
13:15you have set us free.
13:24Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial
13:26of his death and resurrection,
13:28we offer you, Lord,
13:29the bread of life
13:30and the chalice of salvation,
13:32giving thanks that you've held us worthy
13:34to be in your presence
13:36and minister to you.
13:38Humbly we pray
13:39that partaking of the body
13:40and blood of Christ,
13:41we may be gathered into one
13:43by the Holy Spirit.
13:46Remember, Lord,
13:47your church spread throughout the world
13:48and bring her to the fullness of charity,
13:50together with Cleo, our Pope,
13:53me, your unworthy servant
13:54and all the clergy.
13:57Remember also our brothers and sisters
13:59who have fallen asleep
14:00in the hope of the resurrection
14:02and all who have died in your mercy.
14:05Welcome them into the light of your face.
14:08Have mercy on us all,
14:09we pray,
14:10that with the Blessed Virgin Mary,
14:12Mother of God,
14:13Blessed Joseph,
14:14his spouse,
14:15with the blessed apostles
14:16and all the saints
14:17who have pleased you throughout the ages,
14:19we may merit to be coerced
14:22to eternal life
14:23and may praise and glorify you
14:24through your Son,
14:25Jesus Christ.
14:30Through him and with him
14:31and in him,
14:32O God,
14:32Almighty Father,
14:33in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
14:35all glory and honor
14:36is yours forever and ever.
14:39Amen.
14:41At the Savior's command
14:43and formed by divine teaching,
14:44we dare to say,
14:46Our Father,
14:47who art in heaven,
14:48hallowed be thy name.
14:50Thy kingdom come,
14:51thy will be done on earth
14:52as it is in heaven.
14:54Give us this day
14:55our daily bread
14:56and forgive us our trespasses
14:58as we forgive those
15:00who trespass against us
15:02and lead us not into temptation,
15:04but deliver us from evil.
15:06Deliver us, Lord,
15:07we pray,
15:08from every evil.
15:09Preciously grant peace
15:10in our days
15:11that by the help of your mercy
15:13we may be always free from sin
15:15and safe from all distress
15:16as we await the blessed hope
15:19and the coming of our Savior,
15:20Jesus Christ.
15:22For the kingdom,
15:23the power,
15:23and the glory are yours
15:25now and forever.
15:27Lord Jesus Christ,
15:28who said to your apostles,
15:30Peace I leave you,
15:31my peace I give you,
15:33look not on our sins
15:34but on the faith of your church,
15:36and graciously grant her peace and unity
15:38in accordance with your will,
15:40who live and reign forever and ever.
15:43Amen.
15:45The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ
15:47be with you always.
15:48Let us offer each other
15:49a sign of peace.
15:51Peace be with you all.
15:53Lamb of God,
15:54you take away the sins of the world.
15:57Have mercy on us.

16:06you take away the sins of the world.
16:08Grant us peace.
16:23Behold the Lamb of God,
16:25who takes away the sins of the world.
16:27Happy are those who are called
16:28to the supper of the Lamb.
16:30Lord, I am not worthy,
16:31you should enter under my roof,
16:33but only say the word,
16:34and my soul shall be healed.
16:36Amen.
16:40My Jesus,
16:41I believe that you are present
16:43in the most blessed sacrament.
16:44I love you above all things,
16:46and I desire to receive you
16:48into my soul.
16:49Since I cannot now receive you
16:51sacramentally,
16:53commonly,
16:53spiritually,
16:54into my heart,
16:55I embrace you as if you were already there,
16:58and unite myself wholly to you.
17:01Never permit me to be separated from you.
17:04Amen.
17:06Let us pray.
17:07Confirm in our minds
17:09the mysteries of the true faith.
17:11We pray, O Lord,
17:12that confessing that he who was conceived
17:14of the Virgin Mary
17:16is true God and true man,
17:18we may,

17:38by our lives.
17:40God bless your day.
