00:14In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:21Jesus tells us in the Gospel to forgive.
00:25Lord, forgive our sins.
00:28You forgive our sins, Lord, have mercy.
00:32You call us to open our hearts to each other, Christ, have mercy.
00:37You want to set us free, Lord, have mercy.
00:40May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:49Let us pray.
00:50May your grace not forsake us, O Lord, we pray, but make us dedicated to your holy service.
00:57And at all times, obtain for us your help, through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns
01:03with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever.
01:08Amen.
01:09A reading from the prophet Daniel.
01:14As Ahaziah stood up in the heart of the fire, and he began to pray, O, do not abandon us
01:21forever for the sake of your name.
01:23Do not repudiate your covenant, and do not withdraw your favor from us, for the sake of Abraham, your friend,
01:32of Isaac, your servant, and of Israel, your Holy One, to whom you promised descendants as countless as the stars
01:40of heaven, and as the grains of sand on the seashore.
01:45Lord, Lord, now we are despised throughout the world, today, because of our sins.
01:55We have at this time no leader, no prophet, no prince, no holocaust, no sacrifice, no oblation, no incense, no
02:03place where you can offer you, where we can offer you the first fruits and will your favor.
02:10But may the contrite soul, the humble spirit, be acceptable to you, as holocausts of rams and bullocks, as thousands
02:22of fettered lambs, such that our sacrifice be to you today.
02:27And may it be your will that we follow you wholeheartedly, since those who put their trust in you will
02:35not be disappointed.
02:36And now, we put our whole heart into following you, into fearing you, and seeking your face once more.
02:45Do not disappoint us. Treat us gently, as you yourself are gentle and very merciful.
02:52Grant us deliverance worthy of your wonderful deeds. Let your name be glory, Lord.
03:00The word of the Lord.
03:02Thanks be to God.
03:04Remember your mercies, O Lord.
03:07Remember your mercies, O Lord.
03:09Lord, make me know your ways.
03:12Lord, teach me your paths.
03:14Make me walk in your truths.
03:16And teach me, for you are God, my Savior.
03:19Remember your mercies, O Lord.
03:23The Lord is good and upright.
03:25He shows the path to those astray.
03:27He guides the humble in the right path.
03:31He teaches his way to the poor.
03:34Remember your mercies, O Lord.
03:37Glory and praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
03:40With all your heart, tend to me.
03:42For I am tender and compassionate.
03:45Glory and praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
03:51The Lord be with you.
03:53A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.
03:56Glory to you, O Lord.
03:58Peter went up to Jesus and said,
04:01Lord, how often must I forgive my brother if he wrongs me?
04:07As often as seven times?
04:09Jesus answered, not seven, I tell you, but seventy-seven times.
04:15And so the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who decided to settle his accounts with his
04:21servants.
04:22When the reckoning began, they brought him a man who owed ten thousand talents, but he had no means of
04:28paying.
04:29So his master gave orders that he should be sold, together with his wife and children, and all his possessions,
04:36to meet the debt.
04:37At this, the servant threw himself down at his master's feet.
04:42Give me time, he said, and I will pay the whole sum.
04:46And the servant's master felt so sorry for him that he let him go and cancelled the debt.
04:53Now, as the servant went out, he happened to meet a fellow servant who owed him one hundred denarii,
05:00and he seized him by the throat and began to trotter them.
05:04Pay what you owe me, he said.
05:06His fellow servant fell at his feet and implored him, saying,
05:11Give me time, and I will pay you.
05:13But the other would not agree.
05:16On the contrary, he had him thrown into prison till he should pay the debt.
05:20His fellow servants were deeply distressed when they saw what had happened,
05:25and they went to their master and reported the whole affair to him.
05:29Then the master said for him,
05:32You wicked servant, he said, I cancelled all the debt of yours when you appealed to me.
05:38Were you not bound then to have pity on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?
05:44And in his anger, the master handed him over to the torturers that he should pay all his debt.
05:50And that is how my heavenly Father will deal with you,
05:54unless you each forgive your brother from your heart.
05:57The gospel of the Lord.
06:01Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
06:06Forgiveness is not just the service.
06:09Jesus talks about forgiveness from our heart.
06:13Not to forgive is to carry a burden.
06:16Not to forgive is self-punishment.
06:20Not to forgive means we don't walk lightly.
06:23It does not bring happiness.
06:27Sometimes it's hard when people have been really hurt to forgive.
06:31That's why I think it's good to ask for the grace to be able to move and not be stuck.
06:36When we are stuck in non-forgiveness,
06:39it's a bit like a cancer that eats at us and affects everything else.
06:44So we pray for the gift to be free, to be able to forgive.
06:56Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
06:59For to your goodness we have this bread to offer,
07:01which your heart has given human hands have made.
07:04It will become for us the bread of life.
07:06Blessed be God forever.
07:10Amen.
07:25Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
07:28For to your goodness we have this wine to offer,
07:30fruit of divine work of human hands will become our spiritual drink.
07:35Blessed be God forever.
07:49Let us pray, brothers and sisters,
07:51that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, our Almighty Father.
07:56May the Lord accept his sacrifice at our hands
07:59for the praise and glory of God's name,
08:01for our good and the good of God's Holy Church.
08:04Brant us, O Lord, we pray, that this saving sacrifice
08:08may cleanse us of our faults
08:10and become an oblation pleasing to you,
08:13to your almighty power.
08:15Through Christ our Lord.
08:17Amen.
08:22The Lord be with you.
08:25Lift up your hearts.
08:26Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:29It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
08:33always and everywhere to give you thanks,
08:36Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal God.
08:39For you have given your children a sacred time
08:41for the renewing and purifying of their paths,
08:45that freed from disordered affections,
08:47they may so deal with the things of this passing world
08:50so as to hold rather to the things eternally endure.
08:55And so, with all the angels and saints,
08:59we praise you.
09:00As without end, we acclaim
09:04Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts,
09:08heaven and earth are full of your glory.
09:10Hosanna in the highest.
09:12Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
09:15Hosanna in the highest.
09:32You are indeed holy, O Lord,
09:34the fount of all holiness.
09:35Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
09:38by sending down your spirit upon them like the dewfall,
09:41so that they may become for us
09:43the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:45At the time he was betrayed
09:48and unwillingly into his passion,
09:50he took bread and giving thanks broke it
09:53and gave it to his disciples,
09:56saying, take this all of you and eat of it,
09:59for this is my body which will be given up from you.
10:08In a similar way, when supper was ended,
10:11he took the chalice and once more giving thanks,
10:14he gave it to his disciples,
10:17saying, take this all of you and drink from it,
10:19for this is the chalice of my blood,
10:22the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
10:25which will be pulled out for you and for many
10:28for the forgiveness of sins.
10:30Do this in memory of me.
10:39The mystery of faith.
10:41When we eat this bread and drink this cup,
10:44we proclaim your death, O Lord,
10:47until you come again.
11:01Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
11:05we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
11:09giving thanks that you've held us worthy
11:11to be in your presence and minister to you.
11:15Humbly we pray that, partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
11:19we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
11:23Remember, Lord, your church spread throughout the world
11:26and bring her to the fullness of charity.
11:29Together with Leo, our Pope,
11:31meet your unworthy servant and all the clergy.
11:34Remember also our brothers and sisters
11:36who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection
11:39and all who have died in your mercy.
11:42Welcome them into the light of your face.
11:46Have mercy on us all, we pray,
11:48that with the blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
11:52blessed Joseph, her spouse,
11:54with the blessed apostles,
11:56and all the saints who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:59we may merit to be coerced to eternal life
12:03and may praise and glorify you
12:05through your Son, Jesus Christ.
12:10Through him and with him and in him,
12:12O God, Almighty Father,
12:14in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
12:16all glory and honor is yours forever and ever.
12:20Amen.
12:23At the Savior's command and form by divine teaching,
12:26we dare to say,
12:27Our Father, who art in heaven,
12:30hallowed be thy name,
12:31thy kingdom come,
12:33thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
12:36Give us this day our daily bread
12:38and forgive us our trespasses
12:40as we forgive those who trespass against us
12:44and lead us not into temptation,
12:46but deliver us from evil.
12:48Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil.
12:51Graciously grant peace in our days.
12:54In your mercy,
12:57may we always be free from sin
12:59and safe from all distress,
13:01as we await the blessed hope
13:03and the coming of our Savior,
13:05Jesus Christ.
13:06For the kingdom,
13:08the power and the glory are yours,
13:10now and forever.
13:12Lord Jesus Christ,
13:13who said to your apostles,
13:15peace I leave you,
13:16my peace I give you,
13:17look not on our sins,
13:18but on the faith of your church,
13:20and graciously grant her peace and unity
13:23in accordance with your will,
13:25who live and reign forever and ever.
13:26Amen.
13:28The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ
13:30be with you always.
13:31Let us offer each other
13:33a sign of peace.
13:35Peace be with you all.
13:38Lamb of God,
13:39you take away the sins of the world.
13:42Have mercy on us.
13:44Lamb of God,
13:45you take away the sins of the world.
13:47Have mercy on us.
13:49Lamb of God,
13:50you take away the sins of the world.
13:52will grant us peace.
14:11Behold the Lamb of God,
14:12who takes away the sins of the world.
14:14Happy are those who are called
14:15to the supper of the Lamb.
14:17Lord, I am not worthy,
14:18you should enter under my roof,
14:20but only say the word
14:21and my soul shall be healed.
14:24My Jesus,
14:25I believe that you are present
14:27in the most blessed sacrament.
14:29I love you above all things
14:30and I desire to receive you
14:32into my soul.
14:33Since I cannot now receive you
14:35sacramentally,
14:37commonly,
14:38spiritually,
14:38into my heart,
14:39I embrace you as if you were
14:41already there
14:42and unite myself wholly to you.
14:45Never permit me
14:46to be separated from you.
14:48Amen.
14:49Let us pray.
15:01May the holy partaking
15:03of this mystery
15:04give us life,
15:05O Lord,
15:05we pray,
15:06and grant us both pardon
