00:00Alright, so the top news is that just a day after Donald Trump announced a five-day pause in the
00:04West Asia war,
00:05Israel and America continue to pound targets inside Iran.
00:09Israeli forces launched fresh air strikes in the heart of Tehran, triggering widespread power outage across the capital city.
00:16Donald Trump has extended the original deadline on the Strait of Hormuz,
00:20giving Iran five days before further American action on energy sites.
00:24But Israel shows no signs of slowing down.
00:26The pause follows this ultimatum by Donald Trump over the Strait.
00:30Yet, fighting shows no immediate signs of stopping.
00:33So while we all believe that there could be a five days of peace period that could be seen, that
00:39hasn't happened.
00:40Iran has launched fresh wave of retaliatory missile and drone strikes against Israel.
00:44A barrage of missiles was intercepted over West Bank.
00:47Another missile hit a residential building in Tel Aviv, setting several cars ablaze.
00:58And now, joining me from on the ground, from the war zone, is my colleague, Pranay Upadhyay.
01:05In fact, he's heading closer and closer to the locations where the strikes have taken place.
01:09And I wouldn't be revealing the exact location right now.
01:12I want to bring in our editor, Pranay Upadhyay, from India Today Global.
01:17Pranay, I hope you're safe and sound.
01:20What is the situation in the region?
01:23Specifically, because it isn't just about Iran, Israel.
01:26It's as much about other countries, the neighbor nations.
01:29We thought it's going to be a five-day peace period, Pranay.
01:32That doesn't seem like has happened.
01:35Absolutely, Pujar, there is a mixed feeling here.
01:38I have crossed over from Jordan to Israel and other parts of the region as well.
01:43And I can tell you that, you know, people have mixed feelings.
01:47On one side, people want this war to end.
01:49But on the other side, people are worried that, you know, whatever is being talked about,
01:54there is certainly more than what is meeting the eyes.
01:58Clearly, you know, people are not very certain, not very sure that this is going to end very soon.
02:05And that is a cause of concern.
02:07But having said that, people have confidence as far as the Israeli air defense system is concerned.
02:11It is able to utilize more of the threats.
02:16But having said that, certain missiles and incoming projectiles did, you know, cause damage in different parts of Israel.
02:23You mentioned about the central Israel, central Tel Aviv.
02:27Certainly, it has caused some damage, though there are no reports about the life loss here.
02:33But certainly, this is the longest, you know, West Asia conflict, you can say.
02:38You know, it took me around 12 hours to reach the Jordan-Israel border.
02:43And, you know, this is the longest air traffic turbulence for the region in the last many years.
02:49We have seen that how the air traffic is disturbed for the last 25 days and there is no, you
02:58know, ray of hope as of now that how soon it can be restored.
03:01So, certainly, there is a, there is a turbulence, there is an uncertainty in the air and as well as
03:08the sky.
03:10Yep, people are certainly waiting for some sunshine, for some hope and for this war to end.
03:17Thank you for yourself, Pranay, and looking forward to the coverage.
03:21Remember, India Today has been reporting from on the ground.
03:23It's Pranay Upadhyay now heading closer and closer to these locations where missiles literally are being fired at different cities.
