00:11I'm Keith David
00:13and I'm playing Captain David Anderson
00:15in Mass Effect by Bioware
00:17even when you're playing a virtuous character
00:22there's always something a little unvirtuous about him
00:25he's got a past, which I like
00:27and he's got something to look forward to in the future
00:30the difference between, you know
00:33doing voiceover work in animation
00:36or in real movies
00:39as opposed to video games
00:40is slight, I mean, you know
00:42acting is acting, is he the good actor or is bad acting
00:45this is Big Shepard
00:46the last time humanity made a discovery like this
00:49it jumped our technology forward 200 years
00:52if we hadn't discovered those Prothean ruins
00:55buried on Mars
00:56because we'd still be stuck on Earth
00:58ooh, that was nice
01:00my name is Lance Hurtis
01:01I'm playing Admiral Hackett in Mass Effect by Bioware
01:05he's seen a lot and done a lot
01:07he's worked his way up the chain of command
01:09he's not exactly a street guy that became an admiral
01:11I don't think
01:12because he's not saying a lot of
01:14huh, you know, none of grunts and groans
01:16he's very specific and poignant
01:18she proved herself during the Blitz
01:21held off enemy forces on the ground
01:22until reinforcements arrived
01:24for me, I'm not just doing my voice
01:26I mean, I'm not detaching my outer being
01:30just to do a voice
01:31so I'm having a great time
01:33I mean, it's like acting
01:35but the only difference is
01:36you're asked to do something very quickly
01:40whereas if I'm doing a movie
01:41I have a month
01:42I get the script a month ahead
01:44and I become that guy
01:46but they're allowing me to become a piece of this guy
01:48which is just as good
01:50Hi, I'm Marina Sirtis
01:52and I'm playing the matriarch Benezia
01:54on Bioware's Mass Effect
01:58she's a different race
01:59she's very regal
02:01she's about a thousand years old
02:02although, you know, she doesn't look it
02:03obviously
02:04I prepare for a voice session
02:06by basically making myself familiar with the work
02:10because until you actually show up and meet the director
02:12you're never really sure what they want
02:14so just being au fait with the words
02:18and so you're comfortable with the dialogue
02:21and then you can basically be open to what the director wants
02:24Her children were to be ours
02:27raised to hunt and slay Saren's enemies
02:32Have you faced an Asari commando unit before?
02:35Few humans have
02:38My fans are always asking me
02:39when are you going to do something different?
02:41What else have you done?
02:42What can we get?
02:43What can we see?
02:44They really, really are loyal
02:47and so they just, you know, are anxious for anything new
02:51so this is great
02:52You're welcome to be able to get out of the way
