01:01Or maybe you want to be more versatile, choosing some combat mixed with biotic and tech skills.
01:06This will unlock the Explorer Profile, giving you perks and buffs that enhance all your abilities.
01:10And of course, you can swap these profiles at any time, allowing you to keep the action fresh,
01:15giving you a number of ways to tackle every battle, and making sure you never feel locked into a particular
01:20style of play.
01:22This brings us to Favorites.
01:24Favourites are a quick way to map 3 skills and a single profile to 1 slot.
01:29Anytime during combat, you can switch between one of these 4 slots,
01:33giving you access to up to 12 of your favourite skills during the course of a single fight.
01:36Here's an example.
01:38In this battle, I've equipped a favourites loadout designed for long-range combat,
01:42utilizing cloak and a sniper rifle to suppress oncoming enemies.
01:45The sniper alone isn't enough, so I'll deploy an assault turret and toss some grenades
01:49before switching to my second favourites loadout.
01:52It's designed for close-quarters combat.
01:55Loading these new abilities puts them in a cooldown by default,
01:57so I'll have to make do with my shotgun until they're ready.
02:02The Fiend is too powerful, and I'm not in any position to take it out immediately,
02:05but my new favourites are ready.
02:07I'll make my getaway using Biotic Charge and then maneuver around this group of enemies.
02:14This favourites loadout is particularly combo-friendly,
02:17so I'll engage by comboing Cryobeam and Lance for an explosive result,
02:21then clean up with my shotgun.
02:26It looks like the Fiend has taken an interest.
02:28I'll do what I can from a distance before switching to my third favourite slowdown,
02:32one that emphasizes ranged Biotic abilities such as Backlash and Shockwave,
02:36as well as Flamethrower.
02:37Let's see if we can find a better vantage point and stall the Fiend's approach.
02:41Using Backlash, I can shield myself from oncoming fire and deflect it back at the enemy.
02:45This is particularly useful against large crowds of enemies.
02:49However, this horde is scattered, so I'll need to regroup.
02:52Looks like the Fiend has other plans.
02:54I'll stand my ground by using Shockwave and then follow that up with Flamethrower.
03:02The Fiend is hurt, but it's going to take more than that to defeat it.
03:05Switching to my final favourites loadout, I'll engage the Fiend with Soldier-focused abilities.
03:11Let's finish it off with Flat Cannon and Trip Mines.
03:16And when it comes to combat, don't forget your squad.
03:19Each of your six squadmates has three active and two passive skills.
03:23In this case, Korra uses her Biotics as a support character.
03:27And Drac is a bruiser who can soak up lots of damage.
03:31Not only can you set your squad up around the battlefield,
03:33ordering them to defend locations, attack targets, or rally to your side,
03:37but you can also team up with them for devastating power combos.
03:41Power combos activate when you or one of your squadmates
03:44primes an enemy or groups of enemies, setting them up for the kill.
03:48Then you or a squadmate jumps in to detonate and finish the job.
03:52And you can always level up your squadmates
03:54to make them specifically good at priming or detonating targets.
