00:30and previous titles and trusted me to continue my ongoing work on trying to find that perfect shotgun sound or
00:36that perfect RPG or that perfect explosion.
00:41If you're trying to push the boundaries, if you're trying to do stuff that other people haven't done before, then
00:47realistically you need to go down the route of recording your own source material.
00:56A trip to Nevada was to go out and record, I think it was in the end, about 45 different
01:03weapons.
01:11There was one weapon which was, I think it was the Barrett sniper rifle.
01:16The armourer basically said it sounded like God coughing, because it was that loud.
01:28I think we're taking a lot of risks, and that's one of the things I like about the project.
01:34The smart system, the merging of the multiplayer and the single player.
01:38Those are all pretty big risks, frankly.
01:41And when I came here and interviewed with Splash Damage, I realized this is my chance.
01:45I could actually finally do all this stuff that's been in the back of my head for 10 years.
01:50Even now, I am slightly dazzled and stunned by how much work, by how many different people are going to
01:58make a game.
01:59And how ideas get passed along and improved and iterated on.
02:03And so, by the time something ends up in the game, it's been concepted in text, it's been, you know,
02:07this concept image, it's been sketched, it's been drawn, it's been modeled, it's been textured, it's been lit, it's had
02:11physics, it's had gameplay.
02:12And just seeing the team, how they've really taken ideas and run with them.
02:17The heart of it all, and I know that this is something that developers say over and over again, but
02:21we do just want to make the games that we play.
02:24We've been playing hardcore multiplayer games for such a long time, while enjoying these really rich narrative-driven single player
02:30game experiences.
02:31And we just wanted to bring those two halves together into one game, and it's something that we're finally achieving
02:36with Brink.
02:38It's a game that will draw you in, that will give you interesting things to think about, while you're doing
02:42really cool action shooter stuff.
02:44It may be the first game that's grabbed you in that way.
02:46Weapons cold, in and out before they know we are here.
02:52The game is a great player of India.
02:58It's a game that I'm at the end.
02:58We know with the game, meaning if it's also good for the game.
03:01It's like, youwatch the game.
03:02Holiday Adventure.
