00:30It was just part of a contemporary green vision,
00:32but now existing in 2045,
00:34and having lost contact about 20 years beforehand with the rest of the Earth,
00:38it exists in complete isolation
00:40with what were originally sustainable resources now in limited supply.
00:44The result of this is that competing social factions have been thrown into an isolated and horrific conflict.
00:51We're heading to the ARX airport.
00:53This was the original location that celebrities flew in and out of and had their photo opportunities,
00:58but it's also, because it's been deserted and disused for 20 years,
01:02the ideal location for me to show you a couple of the game's features in the absence of any enemies.
01:09Now Brink uses those same familiar shooter controls that you're used to,
01:13but without the artificial constraints,
01:15because we've developed a new system that we're calling SMART.
01:18It stands for Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain.
01:24If you walk up to something that's an obstacle, just as you would do in any other shooter, you'll stop.
01:29But if you want to try and indicate to the game that you want to get somewhere as quickly as
01:33possible,
01:34using this SMART button you're able to vault, mantle and climb with ease.
01:41And this is a cool system for helping you navigate through the game.
01:44But it's not an autopilot. You don't enter a canned animation that you can't get out of.
01:49It's great for advanced players too.
01:54If you're approaching an obstacle, like a security sensor,
01:58and you want to make it through that obstacle without perhaps alerting the enemy to your presence,
02:03you could just look up, and your mantle up and over that automatically.
02:09And by the same token, if you use your same SMART button just running towards something and looking down,
02:14you'll indicate to the game that you're able to slide under something.
02:18And this is really important because in Brink we want you to be able to make tactical decisions about where
02:24you go and how you play.
02:27It's not a rail shooter where you're on a kind of minecart witnessing canned cinematics.
02:34And that's important too because in Brink, irrespective of whether you play offline or online,
02:39you can create a cool identity for yourself that really reflects how you want to play the game.
02:46So in Brink you take on a combat role that suits your preferred playing style,
02:50whether you're on the front line attacking the enemy or perhaps at the rear doing support.
02:56You'll take part in military objectives as part of a coordinated squad.
02:59And when you complete these successfully, you'll learn experience points that allow you to unlock cool upgrades for your weapons,
03:07really cool abilities that suit the way that you want to play,
03:10and also cool outfits that reflect what a badass you are.
03:16And you can do this irrespective of whether you play offline in traditional single player style mode with no internet
03:22connection,
03:23or play cooperatively with up to seven friends,
03:26or go online and play fully where the entire game is full of strangers.
03:30or play experience points out if you try welluli gases.
03:34What a badass you have considered.
03:41What a badass you have considered.
03:48You have to birni with any guesses.
03:48Are your favorite sauces?
03:49You can probably go on here.
03:50Grazie a tutti.
