00:26There is just no world that makes sense.

00:33Ty Simpson is not going to give him a better chance to win games

00:38And if you lose a bunch of games and you start Ty Simpson for,
00:43you know, hey, the last month and a half of the season,
00:46well, that's going to feel silly because you're going to have
00:48a high-level draft pick next year with a brand-new coach.
00:50And he's going to want his own quarterback.
00:55So, I don't know.
00:56The value on Simpson is anyone other than the Jets, in my opinion,
01:00because I think they are right now, Joe, making better decisions.
01:04And Ty Simpson would be an awful decision,
01:06especially in the first round by the New York Jets.
01:09Look, I've come out against quarterbacks,
01:11and I was wrong potentially about Drake May,
01:13and I was high on Jaden Daniels, as you know.
01:16But I don't think Ty Simpson, Kevin, is a first-round draft pick.
01:20I know he had a great pro day.
01:21But, again, you know, against better competition at Alabama
01:25and better defenses, Ty Simpson didn't light the world on fire.
01:30You know, Ty Simpson lost four games at Alabama
01:33with clearly one of the best talents on the outside, you know,
01:37in Ryan Williams and Jeremy Bernard.
01:42I mean, let's be honest.
01:43Let's call it what it is.
01:45And when you look at this team and you look at the New York Jets as a whole,
01:49they're going to make, if they make Ty Simpson the quarterback,
01:52it would be eerily similar to the situation of selecting Zach Wilson
01:56when he wasn't NFL ready.
01:58Let's be honest.
01:59I mean, you know, I understand you want to take a shot,
02:04but you have a lame duck potential coach.
02:07And who, by the way, let me just say this, Kevin.
02:10You know, and I know he comes with a lot of off-the-field stuff,
02:14but if the New York Jets wanted to go defense,
02:17I would have much rather them go all in on Brian Flores
02:20than I would have with Aaron Glenn.
02:23And the reason why Aaron Glenn is walking the sidelines
02:26is because he's a former Jet in his playing days.
02:29That's another reason why.
02:30They wanted it close to home.
02:32Outside of that, you know, Aaron Glenn hasn't done anything defensively
02:37up to the likes of Brian Flores, right?
02:40I'm just saying, so the organization is in disarray.
02:43And when we look at Ty Simpson as a whole, yeah, there's upside,
02:48but you better surround him with unbelievable talent and protect him.
02:54Otherwise, it's going to be another wasted draft pick
02:59and another wasted quarterback that can't cut it in New York.
03:04But I also find some of the Ty Simpson coverage that we're seeing
03:08from some mainstays in the NFL media to be very silly.
03:19Through eight games, through six games, Ty Simpson looks better.

04:48You know, Mahomes Jr. is not going to take that job off of Dante Moore.
04:52Simpson, to me, is someone who, we've seen this before, Joe.
04:57A lot of people make us think round one, round one, and then he's lucky if he goes in round
