00:00:00Hello, hello, hello.
00:00:02Previously on RuPaul's Drag Race UK versus the world.
00:00:04You need to act in silent movie shorts.
00:00:08Bravo!
00:00:11Zahaira, it took me a while to figure out
00:00:13what exactly you were.
00:00:15Serena Morena.
00:00:16All I wanted was a bit more clarification of your character.
00:00:21Fontana.
00:00:21I think you were a bit too obsessed with your saggy boobs.
00:00:26Mariah Valenciaga, you were the anchor.
00:00:29I thought you were fantastic.
00:00:30Congratulations.
00:00:31You are the winner of this week's challenge.
00:00:33I would like to extend this chippy tea
00:00:36to the heart of my ocean, Miss Zahaira.
00:00:40Fontana, shantay you stay.
00:00:43Serena Morena, sashay away.
00:00:59We're back in the workroom.
00:01:01I just sent home Serena.
00:01:04We have become sisters and I care so much about her.
00:01:09I love you, my queens.
00:01:11Y viva Mexico, Serena Morena!
00:01:13Yes!
00:01:14Viva Mexico!
00:01:15Viva Mexico!
00:01:17This elimination is heartbreaking because Serena was the heart of the season.
00:01:25Honestly, she's got a bigger heart than the one that Mariah's.
00:01:29Biggest heart that I've ever seen.
00:01:31She went down fighting as well.
00:01:32Oh, she did.
00:01:33She did not give up.
00:01:34She literally went up, down and leapfrogged fighting.
00:01:37That was hilarious.
00:01:39How does this feel, Fonti?
00:01:40Um, it was a lot.
00:01:43And I won't lie to you guys, it feels pretty lonely and pretty empty.
00:01:47Not a single one of you decided to save me.
00:01:51So I feel very alone.
00:01:54It's a little bit awkward, babes.
00:01:56I was saved by Mariah.
00:02:00I'm just feeling kind of sad.
00:02:03Godling had the chance to save me once and she didn't do it.
00:02:07And then Mariah wouldn't save me either.
00:02:09I don't know what I've done wrong.
00:02:11We don't want you to feel lonely or empty.
00:02:14This is a sisterhood.
00:02:15We are all here for you and I don't ever want you to feel isolated or alone.
00:02:19Thank you, baby. I appreciate that.
00:02:20We've wiped it off, Fontana. Go on.
00:02:22Clean it.
00:02:23I don't want to be a crybaby, but I think if any of the other queens would be in this
00:02:28position,
00:02:29they would also feel some kind of weird energy in the air.
00:02:34Well, Miss Mariah.
00:02:36Yes, ma'am.
00:02:37Congratulations on your first ever challenge win.
00:02:41Yes!
00:02:43To actually win something at this stage of my career with Drag Race is a full circle moment.
00:02:50And I can't even put it into words.
00:02:52And you know, I talk a lot.
00:02:52I've just got to say thank you so much for the chippy tea.
00:02:57I was so grateful that I was in a position to be able to extend that to you.
00:03:01And it truly was hard.
00:03:03I'm so glad that you're still here with us.
00:03:05Yes.
00:03:05You belong right here.
00:03:07Yes, babe.
00:03:08Thank you very much.
00:03:08You know, I'm a fighter and I keep fighting.
00:03:11Yeah.
00:03:11But sometimes fighters get tired, you know.
00:03:14This means no shade.
00:03:15But when I hear from some other people that they don't care about being in the finale,
00:03:20for example.
00:03:23Some people.
00:03:27Who said that?
00:03:30I don't want to throw anyone under the bus, but who heard that?
00:03:32Heard that.
00:03:33And you guys know who that person is.
00:03:35Who said that?
00:03:37Spill the tea, girl.
00:03:39Are they still here?
00:03:40Yes.
00:03:42Who is it?
00:03:44Say the names.
00:03:46Speak their name.
00:03:49It's Naomi.
00:03:51I know that it's me.
00:03:53So why don't you say it?
00:03:54It was basically like, I don't care about the finale.
00:03:58Yeah.
00:04:00Girl, the door is right there.
00:04:02When did this happen?
00:04:04Um, it was after girl groups.
00:04:07I know I said that.
00:04:08Yes, because that was my mindset in that moment.
00:04:13It was something that I said off camera, in private.
00:04:17I'm very upset.
00:04:18I'm angry at myself.
00:04:20I'm a bit angry at her.
00:04:21And I feel very exposed and kind of invaded in my private space.
00:04:26I know what I had to give away and everything I have to put.
00:04:31Don't you think I had to give away the same?
00:04:32Yes, babes.
00:04:33I entered this competition wholeheartedly thinking that I would be out of the door the first day.
00:04:38But I will defend myself in this situation because mindsets change.
00:04:43To me, this feels like the last reckless act of a desperate woman clutching at straws to throw someone else
00:04:50under the bus.
00:04:52Do they have buses in Sweden?
00:04:53It feels a bit weird that you had it in your back pocket ready.
00:04:56Yeah.
00:04:57No, I don't think that's where Fontana was coming from at all.
00:05:01Me and Fontana, we were in the bottom this week.
00:05:03It's so hard to get to that end point.
00:05:06So it hurts to hear somebody say that.
00:05:09Oh, you can cut the air with a knife right now.
00:05:14Take this shit off.
00:05:17Emotions are getting really high.
00:05:19The finish line is almost in sight.
00:05:21And everyone wants to be in the final.
00:05:23No, not everyone wants to be in the final.
00:05:26If we're in the final with someone who doesn't really want to be there,
00:05:29it's going to make things a bit easier for us, isn't it, darling?
00:05:31Well, that's true.
00:05:32This is really the first time that I feel the competition getting to me.
00:05:37Everybody's ready to bite whatever weakness they see.
00:05:41Oh, I'm going to be watching my back.
00:05:55The winner, crowned queen of the mother-touching world,
00:05:59will receive a cash prize of 50,000 pounds.
00:06:04Tonight, with Michelle Visage, Graham Norton,
00:06:07and extra special guest judge, Lucy Punch.
00:06:11New balls are great, say the best check we win, check we win.
00:06:24What?
00:06:24This old thing?
00:06:28Fontana, just so you know, I really want to be in the final.
00:06:32It's a new day in the workroom,
00:06:34and there's a bubbling of underlying resentment.
00:06:38I'm just here to watch.
00:06:39The end of last week kind of took a turn.
00:06:43Yes, it did.
00:06:44I felt, like, very offended, to be honest.
00:06:47But I do want to apologize, because I feel like I was very in my feelings.
00:06:51It was something that I really said out of insecurity.
00:06:56I am working on it every day that I'm here.
00:06:59To be honest, it is a struggle for me.
00:07:01But don't take me in a weak moment as, like, not wanting to be here,
00:07:05because I want to be here.
00:07:06It was basically me lip-syncing for my life.
00:07:09It is a survival instinct.
00:07:12And you know, when you fight so hard, and there is someone that said,
00:07:15oh, I don't care about being in the finale.
00:07:16This is just, like, a consequence.
00:07:18But that's also not what I said.
00:07:19Babes, you said, I don't care about the finale.
00:07:22No.
00:07:22Do I have it wrong?
00:07:23Yeah, you're right.
00:07:25I said, I don't care about winning.
00:07:26And it's okay, we're over.
00:07:26No, you said, I don't care about the finale.
00:07:28With this attitude, I'm sorry.
00:07:30We've been over this situation.
00:07:32Can't you just let it go?
00:07:34Because I apologize to you.
00:07:36Can't you just extend that favor back to me?
00:07:38Say, I'm sorry.
00:07:40I'm gonna put it to the back of my mind.
00:07:42And if it ever comes to an important decision, I will remember this.
00:07:50Her majesty that already had hers is.
00:07:53Hey, sis.
00:07:54Good morning.
00:07:55To snatch the crown, you need to double down.
00:08:00Just like my mama used to say, two big, fat, juicy asses are better than one.
00:08:07She's seen double.
00:08:08There's double trouble.
00:08:09But it also has to do something with butts.
00:08:12Hello, hello, hello.
00:08:14Oh, wow.
00:08:17Gorgeous.
00:08:18Good morning, queens.
00:08:19Good morning.
00:08:19Good morning.
00:08:20There is no greater feeling than laughing so hard that tears start streaming down your legs.
00:08:30Oh, don't I know.
00:08:31Oh, yeah.
00:08:33So for this week's maxi challenge, you need to put on a show at the most drag-tastic comedy event
00:08:41in the world.
00:08:43RuPaul's Fringe Festival.
00:08:46Oh!
00:08:48A comedy challenge?
00:08:49RuPaul, you are spoiling me.
00:08:51I am not known as a comedy queen, so I am shitting it.
00:08:56Here's the funny part.
00:08:58Oh, okay.
00:09:00You'll be performing in pairs.
00:09:04Oh, a paired comedy challenge?
00:09:08RuPaul, you are spoiling this.
00:09:10That's right.
00:09:11This week, sisters are doing it for themselves and with each other.
00:09:16Oh, my God.
00:09:19Hashtag Drag Race UK.
00:09:21Okay, let's get you paired up.
00:09:23Oh, there are a few people I don't want to be paired with.
00:09:26Kate Butch and Fontana.
00:09:30I'm so happy she's a pro.
00:09:32And stand-up comedy is her thing.
00:09:35Mariah and Godlin.
00:09:36Oh.
00:09:39Oh.
00:09:39Thank God!
00:09:42I need her, and I got her.
00:09:45Zahaira and Naomi.
00:09:47Yes.
00:09:47Zahaira is very funny.
00:09:49That being said, not when she really has to be.
00:09:54Now, the judges and I will be looking for a sparkling stand-up comedy duo.
00:09:59So, create a relationship that can serve comedy gold.
00:10:04Now, later, to help you polish your comedy acts, you'll meet with comedian Jade Adams.
00:10:12Now, Mariah, as last week's winner, I'm leaving you in charge of the performance order.
00:10:19Ooh.
00:10:20So, don't fuck it up.
00:10:23Oh.
00:10:24Razor, start your engines.
00:10:26And may the funniest drag queens win.
00:10:29Yes!
00:10:30Yes!
00:10:30Let's go.
00:10:31Come with me.
00:10:31Oh, yes.
00:10:32Come with me.
00:10:33Come with me.
00:10:33Well, isn't that something.
00:10:35This is crazy.
00:10:38Wow.
00:10:38I've never done a comedy challenge.
00:10:40I don't know.
00:10:41I'm a little nervous.
00:10:42We have to create our jokes from scratch, and Garland's comedy seems accidental.
00:10:50It's kind of like a personality quark that just happens to work in her favor.
00:10:56You cannot script at me too much because I cannot remember them all.
00:11:02You have to, like, give me space for me to be myself.
00:11:06I'm physically funny.
00:11:10See?
00:11:11You laugh.
00:11:12Okay, so you would be the extra, extra one.
00:11:15Mm-hmm.
00:11:16And then I would have to be the anchor to, like, keep it, like, grounded.
00:11:22Mm-hmm.
00:11:23I don't know.
00:11:25Okay, I just hit a wall.
00:11:27Ooch, ooch, ooch.
00:11:29So far, Garland isn't giving me any ideas, and I'm definitely concerned.
00:11:34I think I'm gonna be carrying the weight of this challenge for our group.
00:11:39I'm so excited.
00:11:40Firstly, are we okay?
00:11:42We are okay.
00:11:43Good.
00:11:43We're doing good.
00:11:44I'm actually very excited about this.
00:11:46And especially after everything that happened this morning, I want to start with fresh energy
00:11:49because I do care about you.
00:11:51I'm a big fan of you.
00:11:52I have a lot riding on this challenge.
00:11:53I didn't get to do my roast challenge in my season, and I really want to do well in this
00:11:57comedy challenge.
00:11:58And we've got the thing that has made Rue laugh the most this whole competition.
00:12:04Bucket!
00:12:05How are you feeling about the other teams?
00:12:07I think we have seen Zahaira and Naomi, what, heads a couple of times.
00:12:14Yeah.
00:12:14Zahaira and Naomi are an unlikely pairing.
00:12:17They've fallen out multiple times during this competition.
00:12:20I think they're gonna set UK and German relations back decades.
00:12:23But I think they're both emotionally mature enough to hopefully bury that for the challenge.
00:12:28I hope so.
00:12:29I mean, I hope they don't, but for us, I think.
00:12:31Right?
00:12:32How do you feel about the other pairings?
00:12:35Because I feel like Fontana has been in the bottom for every comedy challenge.
00:12:42But she is paired with Kate.
00:12:45That's the thing.
00:12:46Kate's gonna excel.
00:12:47Well, I'm expecting Kate to do so well.
00:12:49But wait, wait, wait.
00:12:50In Snatch Game, she didn't do as good as I thought she would.
00:12:54Yeah, that's true.
00:12:55Yeah, I think we need...
00:12:56But let's focus on us.
00:12:57Because it's more important that we do well in this than anybody else.
00:13:00I'm more silly as a person.
00:13:03I'm not a comedian.
00:13:04No, I'm not.
00:13:05I don't write jokes.
00:13:06No, same.
00:13:07So this is the first challenge where I'm like, I don't really sort of know what I'm doing.
00:13:13The bad thing is I don't have like a banging idea right now.
00:13:17Yeah, for sure.
00:13:21Um...
00:13:22There's no exploding idea right from the get-go.
00:13:27So we'll have to think about that.
00:13:31I know I can make people laugh.
00:13:33I'm so funny.
00:13:34But put me on the spot to write jokes.
00:13:37It's just not my thing.
00:13:38Ladies, queens, could I borrow you all for a second?
00:13:41Of course.
00:13:42How's it going?
00:13:42Everybody.
00:13:43How are you?
00:13:44How are you?
00:13:45Hello, everyone again.
00:13:48So as you queens heard this morning, I get to pick the order of our sets.
00:13:53But I did want to be fair and kind of want to hear from each group to see
00:13:57where your preferred placement in the lineup might be.
00:14:01We would be happy to open the show.
00:14:04Yeah.
00:14:05Okay, what does Miss Singh think she's doing?
00:14:08When you open a comedy show, you are in charge of warming the audience up.
00:14:12It's a difficult position.
00:14:13Are you sure if you're funny, it's funny.
00:14:16If you're not funny, you're in bottom.
00:14:20Okay, cool, cool, cool.
00:14:22We haven't really chatted about it, but I think we could probably slot in anywhere.
00:14:26Okay, team openers, us in the middle, and then y'all close.
00:14:30Yeah.
00:14:31Are you happy with that?
00:14:32Yeah.
00:14:32Yes, we're going to go first.
00:14:34I don't have to sit and be anxious the whole time waiting for our turn.
00:14:38All right, queens, we have our positions.
00:14:41Me and Gotti have more work to do, so could you all scurry?
00:14:45I'll need an x-ray so I can find my funny bone.
00:14:51Now it's time for some comedy coaching with the legend Jade Adams.
00:14:55How are you doing?
00:14:56Good, how are you?
00:14:57I'm very well, thank you.
00:14:59I am absolutely thrilled to be here.
00:15:01I have done Edinburgh Fringe Festival nine times,
00:15:05and I was also nominated for Best Newcomer.
00:15:08That's amazing.
00:15:09So I'm the perfect person to coach you through your double act,
00:15:13and I'm very, very intrigued as to why you have come on with a bucket.
00:15:19So, I haven't puked yet.
00:15:22Is this something you do a lot?
00:15:23Uh, yes, unfortunately, I live with severe anxiety,
00:15:26and I have been puking my way through this competition.
00:15:30So this is something I would like to joke about.
00:15:32Anxiety is often a great subject for humor because it's relatable.
00:15:37There is an equation to comedy, which is very famous,
00:15:40which is tragedy plus time equals comedy.
00:15:43So you've had a bit of distance from your tragedy.
00:15:47Write that down.
00:15:48I'm taking notes.
00:15:49You've got to get a mass GCSE by the end of this.
00:15:51I'm ready.
00:15:52Well, do you want to run through the things you've been thinking of?
00:15:55Let's do it.
00:15:56Hi, I'm Fontana, and I'm originally Brazilian, but now I live in Sweden,
00:16:00which means I love meatballs, but only if they are completely waxed.
00:16:08And I'm Kate Butch.
00:16:09I'm from the north of England, which means I'll take any balls I can get.
00:16:14Yeah, great.
00:16:15Lovely.
00:16:15Playing with each other's differences, but also where you relate to each other.
00:16:19Balls, great.
00:16:20I mean...
00:16:20Who doesn't love balls?
00:16:21Who doesn't love balls?
00:16:23We've even got completely different star signs.
00:16:25I'm a Gemini, which means I have two faces.
00:16:28And I'm a Leo, which means nothing.
00:16:31It's not real.
00:16:33You could have that as a little moment where you have like a fake little argument
00:16:36between the two of you.
00:16:37And then straight back into the joke.
00:16:39That's kind of what we've got for the intro-wise.
00:16:40We've just got to fill out the middle.
00:16:42So you haven't got the middle yet.
00:16:44So have you got any ideas what you might do?
00:16:45We were thinking of exploring the differences between our cultures.
00:16:48Like, there's a lot of ABBA we can do with Sweden.
00:16:51Yeah, great.
00:16:52Gravy.
00:16:53Gravy and ABBA, the two genders.
00:16:55I am nervous because we do not have a full set yet.
00:16:58So we hope we can make Rue laugh in the performance.
00:17:02Bye, thank you.
00:17:05Hello.
00:17:07Hi, Jay.
00:17:08Hi, Goldland.
00:17:09Hi.
00:17:10Hi, Mariah.
00:17:11How's this challenge been?
00:17:12Um, it started off challenging.
00:17:14Okay.
00:17:15Have you found it frustrating?
00:17:16No, not at all.
00:17:18Well, I was finding it frustrating.
00:17:20The worst thing you can do is ever show us that any of this affects you.
00:17:23Yes.
00:17:24Do not show panic because Rue can smell fear.
00:17:26Yes.
00:17:27What I'm interested in with you two is what the dynamics of your comedy partnership are.
00:17:33We are kind of leaning into, I've been doing drag for 25 years.
00:17:38Bob.
00:17:38And, Godlin, how long have you been doing drag?
00:17:40Just three years.
00:17:41Essentially, what you're messing with in comedy terms, it's straight man,
00:17:46and then there's the fool that's next to the straight man.
00:17:48Yes.
00:17:48Great.
00:17:49Okay.
00:17:49I love that.
00:17:50Can we have a little look at the jokes that you've read?
00:17:51A little go.
00:17:52Okay.
00:17:53Yeah?
00:17:53All right, so I'm so happy to be back here on the Drag Race stage.
00:17:57And you know what?
00:17:58To celebrate, I think I'm going to make you my drag daughter.
00:18:02You know, all you got to do is stick with me.
00:18:05I'm going to stop you.
00:18:06We need you.
00:18:07We need you.
00:18:08Immediate reaction.
00:18:09In that moment.
00:18:09Okay.
00:18:10Got it.
00:18:10You could have something like, you could say, we're going to do drag big sister and little
00:18:14sister, and then you go, you mean daughter.
00:18:17Or a granddaughter.
00:18:18Oh, okay, great.
00:18:20Granddaughter.
00:18:21Yes, this is brilliant, Mariah.
00:18:22Granddaughter.
00:18:23Joke straight away.
00:18:24Okay.
00:18:25If you don't know what to say, just say, halleloo.
00:18:30Halleloo.
00:18:30Yeah.
00:18:31What does it mean?
00:18:32When you use it?
00:18:33It can mean anything you want it to mean.
00:18:35Wow.
00:18:36Halleloo.
00:18:39That's it.
00:18:40Yes.
00:18:41I love this word.
00:18:42This is fantastic.
00:18:44Be really confident with it, but look out and look at your audience, and save the looking
00:18:49at each other for punchlines.
00:18:50Punchlines for the moment.
00:18:51Okay.
00:18:51We got a little bit more time to work on it, so I think we can pull this through.
00:18:55Good luck to both of you.
00:18:57Thank you, Jen.
00:18:57We love you.
00:18:58Bye.
00:19:00Hi.
00:19:01Hi.
00:19:02We need all the help we can get on this one, so please help us out.
00:19:06Just give me an outline of what you can do, and I'd love that.
00:19:09The idea is that we are hosting this event, because we're the first ones.
00:19:12Yeah, yeah, great.
00:19:13And the problem is, we don't got any jokes.
00:19:16Yeah.
00:19:16But we got 30 minutes to fill.
00:19:19And then I thought that we could be making up material as we go along.
00:19:24So like, I would pull her off to the side, then we would bounce off each other random jokes
00:19:30that we came up with in the situation, and it's just one-liners.
00:19:33I have several. Should I just read them?
00:19:35Yeah, why don't you read them to me? That would be fab.
00:19:37Maybe emojis are us regressing back to hi- hi-
00:19:41Hieroglyphics.
00:19:42It's great, but it's just a statement.
00:19:45Yeah.
00:19:46Needs to be funnier.
00:19:46We'll just lose that.
00:19:48Then we have alcohol is a solution, scientifically speaking.
00:19:52Solution to what?
00:19:53No, it's a solution, scientifically speaking.
00:19:56Oh, you're saying that alcohol is a liquid is a solution, scientifically speaking.
00:20:00Again, true statement, which can be funny, but doesn't put a funny image in your head.
00:20:06Okay. Excellent one.
00:20:08Excellent one.
00:20:09Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:20:09We do have a joke, actually, that basically-
00:20:13Go on.
00:20:13I'm Filipino.
00:20:14Oh, yeah, that one.
00:20:15And she's German.
00:20:15Yeah.
00:20:16So I was going to set up a German joke saying,
00:20:20how many Germans does it take to screw in a light bulb?
00:20:24I don't know.
00:20:27One, they're very efficient and not very funny.
00:20:31Okay, I'm about to push an Asian woman off this stage, but that would be wong on so many levels.
00:20:38I think because the two of you are there representing those cultures, I think you're going to get away with
00:20:45it.
00:20:45We got one joke down, only 700 more to go.
00:20:49We've got a lot of work on our hands.
00:20:52I just need to get out of my head, get those jokes out, and deliver it.
00:20:57You two have been amazing.
00:21:00I love you.
00:21:01I love you.
00:21:06I love you.
00:21:08Welcome to a cringe festival.
00:21:11The fringe festival.
00:21:12Okay.
00:21:12She said cringe festival.
00:21:14Cringe.
00:21:14It's a new day in the workroom.
00:21:15We are feeling fabulous.
00:21:17I'm about to do something I've never done before, but babes, this is Drag Race.
00:21:23We are so ready for this.
00:21:27How do you feel today?
00:21:29Like, I feel good.
00:21:30I feel so much better than I did yesterday.
00:21:32We're all feeling the pressure.
00:21:34This is probably the hardest challenge that we've had so far in the competition.
00:21:38Girl, I just want to get it over and done with.
00:21:41It must have been hard for you coming off of last week.
00:21:45I know you were fighting through it yesterday.
00:21:47In a weird way, having my very personal process of, like, working my mental health through this
00:21:56competition out there yesterday, it kind of clicked in my head.
00:22:00I feel a lot freer.
00:22:02Yeah.
00:22:03I feel a lot lighter.
00:22:05I feel like I can actually smile and mean it.
00:22:08It is a very nice feeling.
00:22:10And I think it's very crucial that this click is happening in the mindset now.
00:22:14Because if I want to go to the final, I have to believe in myself.
00:22:20I'm just going to make sure that I do the bones and then you just go crazy.
00:22:25And I'll bring us back in whenever we need to get really back in.
00:22:29Period.
00:22:30This is teamwork.
00:22:32RuPaul always loved me being me.
00:22:34So I'm not that afraid with the script.
00:22:39Because I know that.
00:22:40Just me being crazy by myself, it's funny enough.
00:22:45Who do you think will be in the bottom half?
00:22:47Because we're going to be in the top half.
00:22:49Sahara, Naomi, and Fantana.
00:22:55Sorry.
00:22:57But Sahara just got the chippy teeth.
00:23:00So she really can't afford to be in the bottom.
00:23:03Because is somebody going to give her the chippy teeth again?
00:23:07Ooh.
00:23:08Today is really going to be some teeth.
00:23:10It's going to be half-tough day.
00:23:13So who is feeling the funniest today?
00:23:17How about you, Miss Cade?
00:23:19Because this is in your wheelhouse.
00:23:20Have you got the address of my wheelhouse?
00:23:23This is a different type of comedy than one I'm used to.
00:23:26Doing comedy in pairs, you are reliant on someone else for 50% of the material.
00:23:31So I'm a little bit nervous.
00:23:33I'm going to be honest, I have no idea what a wheelhouse is.
00:23:35I don't think any of us does.
00:23:37OK.
00:23:39So I just realized that next week is the semi-finals.
00:23:44Who wants to be in the semi-finals, like, for real?
00:23:47For real, I want to be that.
00:23:49I want to be badged and in the finale.
00:23:51That's where I want to be.
00:23:52Are you sure?
00:23:53Yeah.
00:23:54In the finale.
00:23:54OK.
00:23:55Write it down.
00:23:56She wants to be in the finale now.
00:23:57Yeah, I got it.
00:23:58Yeah, I got it now.
00:23:59I finally got it.
00:24:24Welcome to the main stage of RuPaul's Drag Race UK versus the world.
00:24:30It's funny girl Michelle Visage.
00:24:33Ooh, have you heard?
00:24:34Graham and I have started performing as a comedy duo.
00:24:37Really?
00:24:38There's only one problem.
00:24:39He wants me to play the straight man.
00:24:43Somebody's got to do it.
00:24:47International treasure, Graham Norton.
00:24:49Now, are you really doing a comedy act with Michelle?
00:24:52Well, she's written this joke for me.
00:24:54Tell me what you think.
00:24:55A judge, a white rapper, and a bimbo from New Jersey
00:24:59walk into a bar.
00:25:01Bartender goes, welcome back, Michelle.
00:25:05See, it's great.
00:25:06Yeah, it's killing.
00:25:07It's killing.
00:25:08And our extra special guest, all the way from Amanda Land, Lucy Punch.
00:25:14Are you excited for our Fringe Festival?
00:25:17Well, I'll be honest, Ru.
00:25:18When they said Fringe, I thought I was coming to judge a hairdressing competition.
00:25:21But I guess I'll stay.
00:25:24This week, we challenged our queens to entertain us as comedy duos.
00:25:29And tonight on the runway, category is Rue Veal, a sickening surprise on the catwalk.
00:25:36Racers, start your engines, and may the best drag queen win.
00:25:48Welcome to RuPaul's Fringe Festival.
00:25:51Guaranteed to have you rolling in the aisles or your money back.
00:25:56Just see Michelle on your way out.
00:25:58Uh, no refunds.
00:26:00Introducing our first double act.
00:26:03It's Zahaira Zapanta and the only, Naomi.
00:26:09Woo!
00:26:13Enjoy it.
00:26:14Hiya loves.
00:26:16Welcome everybody.
00:26:17And may I say, what an honor to host the first ever, and probably last, RuPaul's Cringe Festival.
00:26:26Wait, wait, wait, wait, it's over there, it's over there.
00:26:28It says on the side.
00:26:29RuPaul's Fringe Festival.
00:26:34Mae, um, these cards are empty.
00:26:36I thought you were going to grab the material.
00:26:38I thought you were going to bring it.
00:26:40Um, well, the show's about to start.
00:26:42It's like so close to starting.
00:26:44We're going to work it out for you, don't worry.
00:26:45It's going to be fine.
00:26:46So this is Zahaira.
00:26:49She's a Filipino Brit, yeah.
00:26:50And I mean, look at that smile.
00:26:52She has so many teeth.
00:26:53Even her teeth have fucking teeth, okay?
00:26:57This is the only Naomi.
00:26:59She's German.
00:27:01She's beautiful.
00:27:03But her personality kind of reminds me of Berlin.
00:27:08After the war.
00:27:11Stand-up really isn't in my wheelhouse.
00:27:14We can see.
00:27:15Now we promise we have an amazing show for you.
00:27:18We've just got to make up some jokes.
00:27:19Yeah, it's going to be so good.
00:27:20Come over here, I've got some material.
00:27:22Let me know what you think, girl.
00:27:23Okay, tell me.
00:27:24I've got a bisexual joke.
00:27:25Oh my god, I love bisexuals.
00:27:27Is there any bisexuals in the house?
00:27:29No?
00:27:30No?
00:27:31Anyway, bisexual women should be called moral lesbians.
00:27:37Oh!
00:27:37You like that one?
00:27:38Okay.
00:27:39Okay, okay.
00:27:39So we've got a great show coming up for you tonight.
00:27:43It's going to be awesome.
00:27:44You have no idea.
00:27:45Zahaira, you have a great tattoo right there.
00:27:48Thank you so much.
00:27:49You know when my season six promo came out?
00:27:51Yeah.
00:27:52Everybody was asking me, what does this tattoo mean?
00:27:56Yeah.
00:27:57The truth is, it's a fisting line.
00:28:01Oh, okay.
00:28:02The question is, do you think that people who enjoy fisting
00:28:07are the same type of people who enjoy putting ships in bottles?
00:28:13Yeah.
00:28:13Well, think about the mindset.
00:28:15Yeah.
00:28:16Writing beauty through a teeny weeny little opening.
00:28:20Yeah, I see that.
00:28:21I'm thinking.
00:28:22Much like getting a perfect fisting joke in front of a closed-minded audience.
00:28:29Oh, cringe.
00:28:31But not you guys.
00:28:32No.
00:28:32You guys are wonderful.
00:28:34You're great.
00:28:35You're doing great.
00:28:35Yeah, you're almost gaping.
00:28:37It's amazing.
00:28:39I really don't think Ru is wanting to hear about fisting right now.
00:28:42She seems to be clenching up a bit.
00:28:45What?
00:28:46Maybe.
00:28:46Can I just...
00:28:47You got a new material, girl?
00:28:48So, whenever a pregnant woman goes for a swim, she's basically a human submarine.
00:28:54Oh, that's a really good girl.
00:28:55You should write that one down.
00:28:57Wait, wait.
00:28:58Is that the...
00:28:59Are you fucking kidding?
00:29:00Is this the material?
00:29:02It says material at the front, girl.
00:29:04Oh my god.
00:29:04Guys, I'm so excited.
00:29:05We've got some jokes.
00:29:07Check it out.
00:29:08Oh, hey.
00:29:09Check it out.
00:29:09Oh, I don't think Michelle would like this one.
00:29:12Nope.
00:29:12This one is bad.
00:29:14Nope.
00:29:14Don't take that one.
00:29:15Try this one.
00:29:16Oh, opener?
00:29:17Uh, I hardly know her.
00:29:21Okay.
00:29:22Okay, so, Gales, get ready.
00:29:24Get ready.
00:29:24Get ready.
00:29:25Everybody shake up.
00:29:26It's gonna be a laugh, Ryan.
00:29:27The show is just about to start.
00:29:29Go ahead, Zyra.
00:29:29Go ahead.
00:29:30So, how many Germans does it take to screw on a light bulb?
00:29:35I don't know.
00:29:38One.
00:29:39They're very efficient and not very funny.
00:29:44Okay, I'm about to push an Asian lady right off this mother tucking main stage, but that would be on
00:29:49so many levels, Wong.
00:29:54Wait till I get you.
00:29:55I'm gonna use you like a hand puppet.
00:29:58So, the material has not landed just like they're jokes that were not jokes.
00:30:06Up next, Mariah and Godlin.
00:30:12Well, hello, hello, hello.
00:30:14How's everybody doing, loves?
00:30:16I'm Mariah Balenciaga, the icon, the mother of all drag queens.
00:30:21And everybody looks up to the fashionable dancing diva.
00:30:24And I am Miss Scotland all the way from Bangkok, if you know what I mean.
00:30:31We are so happy to be here, and to commemorate that, I've decided to open up my minge bank one
00:30:36more time.
00:30:37Ooh.
00:30:38And adopt another daughter.
00:30:40Daughter?
00:30:41Yeah.
00:30:42You mean drag granddaughter.
00:30:45Just stick with me, I know what to do.
00:30:47Of course, I trust you, Mariah, because you've been here for so long.
00:30:56I have been twirling and whirling around the world, and I'm still fabulous.
00:31:01What does twirling mean?
00:31:02Twirling, like the girl group talent.
00:31:05Oh, girl group talent.
00:31:06Yeah, you know, when I had my moves, Michelle was living.
00:31:10Rue, I was taking her back to her good old days when she could do a split.
00:31:17Come on, show it up.
00:31:21Medic! Medic!
00:31:23Lady Jungle right here!
00:31:25Well, okay, fine.
00:31:27Twirling might not be in my wheelhouse.
00:31:31But fashion, my fashions, can I, so my fashions, my fashions carry.
00:31:40Like, oh, the cape challenge.
00:31:42The cape challenge.
00:31:43Ooh, I was given epilomia.
00:31:44Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
00:31:45Cape?
00:31:46I thought it was trash bag.
00:31:48I thought it was, it was walking trash bag category.
00:31:51Stop, I almost thought of something in that.
00:31:53It was like crap.
00:31:56Godlund is making me howl so much.
00:31:58She's just comedic genius.
00:32:00This one is all about sisterhood.
00:32:03Sisterhood.
00:32:04Here, RuPaul's Drag Race, we're about being there for one another, uplifting each other.
00:32:09So if you see one of your sisters in trouble, you got to remember this one.
00:32:16Under the bus.
00:32:17Under the bus.
00:32:18Under the bus.
00:32:19Under the bus.
00:32:20What does that mean, under the bus?
00:32:24Okay, you know, like, with the bottom three, and then you throw them the chippy tea?
00:32:28Oh, chippy tea.
00:32:29Yeah.
00:32:29That's right.
00:32:30Yes.
00:32:31Yeah, the cop.
00:32:33Cops and the queen.
00:32:35So next time you see one of those bitches in trouble, what are you going to do?
00:32:39I'm going to throw her under the bus.
00:32:41There you go.
00:32:44I'm going to keep winning, and I'm going to throw all my sister out of the bus.
00:32:50Yeah.
00:32:51Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
00:33:02Mariah clearly crafted the entire set around Gordland being funny, but she's forgotten
00:33:08to make herself funny.
00:33:10And now please welcome Fontana and Kate Butch.
00:33:15Thank you, queens.
00:33:18Hi.
00:33:19What an evening we are having.
00:33:21I thought it was incredibly brave of Mariah to perform with that five-year-old.
00:33:24Oh.
00:33:26Now, we have been thrown together in this situation, and you might look at us and think
00:33:31that we are a pretty odd couple.
00:33:33I'm pretty.
00:33:34She's odd.
00:33:35But despite we're both being gingers, and yes, my carpet does match her curtains,
00:33:40we are very different queens, especially physically.
00:33:43For example, I look very tall, and Fontana looks very stupid.
00:33:48Oh!
00:33:49We even have completely different star signs.
00:33:52I'm a Gemini, which means I have two faces.
00:33:55The one she was born with and the one that she paid for.
00:33:57Oh.
00:33:58And I am a Leo.
00:33:59Which means she's a total countries around the world.
00:34:06Are so different, and even our upbringings were polar opposites.
00:34:10When I was 20, I moved to Sweden, and I had to rebuild my whole life
00:34:15like it was flat-pack furniture.
00:34:17All it took was a couple of screws.
00:34:21When I was 20, I moved to London, and much like when I built flat-pack furniture,
00:34:25I didn't have enough screws.
00:34:27Maybe it's because you Brits are as bland as your food?
00:34:31Quite right, Fontana.
00:34:33We colonized the world in search of spices, and then refused to use a single one.
00:34:39Now, speaking of putting things in your mouth...
00:34:41Languages.
00:34:42Our languages are very different.
00:34:45Exactly.
00:34:46Now, Fontana's Brazilian accent makes anything sound super sexy,
00:34:50while my northern accent makes anything sound like it grew up having to shit outside.
00:34:55So, as a little demonstration, Fontana is going to describe some of her national dishes,
00:34:59and I'll translate them into English for you.
00:35:03Churrasco.
00:35:05Barbecue.
00:35:09Feijoada.
00:35:10Sausage.
00:35:13Molyu.
00:35:15Gravy.
00:35:17I have to say, it's really funny.
00:35:21Fuck.
00:35:21Kate, we have absolutely nothing in common.
00:35:25You're right, Fontana.
00:35:26And speaking as a non-binary icon...
00:35:28Oh, my God!
00:35:30This is absolutely crazy.
00:35:32Oh, my God, how completely unplanned and coincidental.
00:35:35Now, Fontana, have you had a nice time at the Fringe Festival?
00:35:38Absolutely.
00:35:39I really, really would like to thank someone really special and really important.
00:35:44Someone who's always, always been there for me through the good times and the bad times
00:35:50through this whole competition.
00:35:52Oh, Fontana, that is so sweet for you to talk about me like that.
00:35:57Kate, I'm talking about my bucket!
00:36:00And do you know what else I can do in the bucket?
00:36:02You can do what your bucket what you bloody please.
00:36:05This, so now the camera can feed us both.
00:36:08And now you're finally on my level.
00:36:10Our time is up, Kate.
00:36:12From Fontana, the Swedish Kylie Jenner.
00:36:14And me, Kate Butch, the British bulldog.
00:36:19Good luck and don't buck it up!
00:36:22Bye-bye.
00:36:23You're up.
00:36:25Hey, help me down here!
00:36:26Absolutely not, you bitch.
00:36:28Okay, I secretly chuckled a little bit.
00:36:31Don't tell them, though.
00:36:40Category is Rue Veal.
00:36:43First up, Godlin.
00:36:46Hello, Dolly.
00:36:48I knew she was masking something.
00:36:50I am giving you...
00:36:56I'm giving you traditional Thai excellence.
00:37:00Could you hold my coat?
00:37:05Ow!
00:37:08Ooh!
00:37:08Boom!
00:37:08I turned myself into a Thai traditional dancer.
00:37:12It's a real human girl.
00:37:15Mm-hmm.
00:37:16The king and aye-yai-yai.
00:37:20I feel majestic, graceful, and immaculate.
00:37:24I am so honored to put Thai drag on the world map.
00:37:29Follow me, Mr. Bond.
00:37:33Up next, Zahaira.
00:37:36Oh, it's my favorite color.
00:37:38Raw chicken.
00:37:39Ew!
00:37:41Are you feeling peachy?
00:37:43Oh, yes.
00:37:44She's dripping and stripping.
00:37:46Gloves, off.
00:37:48Bolero, off.
00:37:49Choker, off.
00:37:50I'm ready for my reveal.
00:37:52Let's go.
00:37:54Ooh!
00:37:55I guess she's feeling a little blue today.
00:37:59Now, I'm a seafoam princess, gliding on the runway.
00:38:06Aw, she's the prettiest lampshade in the store.
00:38:09Every single jewel on my head is shining, serving elegance down the stage.
00:38:15And I feel stunning.
00:38:18Let them eat cock.
00:38:20But cooked cock, right?
00:38:22Oh, yeah.
00:38:22Must be cooked.
00:38:25Naomi, with a Y.
00:38:28Look at her swanning in here.
00:38:32This is not just a runway.
00:38:34This is a performance.
00:38:36This is feelings, emotion.
00:38:39This is the worst Christmas ever.
00:38:42Good luck and don't pluck it up.
00:38:46I am turning from the white swan into the black swan.
00:38:53And slowly turn into this dark, villainous Duchess of the Ravens.
00:39:00Don't feed this dress after midnight.
00:39:05How many black cocks had to die for this?
00:39:09And as the grand finale.
00:39:13Wow.
00:39:15I am crying black tears over all the good soul that just left my body and I'm just so sad.
00:39:24But it's so opera.
00:39:27Remind me to never go to a German opera again.
00:39:32Mariah Balenciaga.
00:39:35Hooded for your pleasure.
00:39:36I am this mysterious, cloaked figure finally reveal the trap that is set for the judges.
00:39:45Oh.
00:39:48Ooh, slankets are back.
00:39:51This look is very representative of my drag.
00:39:54It's sexy.
00:39:55It's regal.
00:39:56It's femme fatale.
00:39:58Come on, Neoprene.
00:39:59I see a smile.
00:40:02I'm not sure if it's good.
00:40:05No, no, no, no.
00:40:06I know it's good.
00:40:07They're eating up this look.
00:40:08Lady Liberty.
00:40:10May Cape Cod save the queen.
00:40:16Fontana.
00:40:18Moken.
00:40:18This outfit represents my journey as a non-binary.
00:40:22I hit the runway wearing this oversized suit representing the masculinity I had to perform.
00:40:29But babes, I'm so tired of it.
00:40:30Ooh.
00:40:31I rip it off and under this, you see my everything.
00:40:35You see it all because we're all born naked and the rest is drag.
00:40:39Eat it.
00:40:40Oh, no.
00:40:41When a chemical peel goes wrong.
00:40:44I say you can overdo Ozempic.
00:40:50You know, I would normally wouldn't say this, but is she showing too much skin?
00:40:55Not enough skin.
00:40:57Now that you see my insides, I want everyone to know that babes, it doesn't matter who you are,
00:41:03where you're from, we're all the same on the inside.
00:41:06It's a face-off.
00:41:08I am serving muscles, rhinestones, and a BBL, which is iconic.
00:41:13That's a gluteus yassimus.
00:41:18Kate Butch, look at this beautiful hand-knitted gown.
00:41:24But oh no, it's unravelling.
00:41:26You've heard of Bad Cathy.
00:41:28Now get ready for Sexy Kate.
00:41:30I thought she had it all sewn up.
00:41:34Sexy Kate is stomping down this runway in her thigh-high boots.
00:41:37But it's still giving a little cottagecore, a little silly, a little cozy, warm, nice lady.
00:41:44Her safe word is woolite.
00:41:47Look at the size of those nitties.
00:41:50As I'm walking away, I can feel a little snag in the back of my dress.
00:41:55Oh God, maybe I'm caught on something.
00:41:57Ooh!
00:42:00Comes with a matching muff.
00:42:06Welcome, ladies.
00:42:09UK versus the world rules are no longer in effect.
00:42:16Chippy T has been taken off the menu.
00:42:20What?
00:42:22Tonight, you performed in pairs, but you'll be judged individually.
00:42:28Now it's time for the judges' critiques.
00:42:31First up, Zahaira.
00:42:33I just want to start by acknowledging what a hard challenge this was.
00:42:37It's tough enough to come out and try to do comedy by yourself,
00:42:39but to be working with someone else is really hard.
00:42:43And I didn't laugh very much, but I felt like I was having a good time.
00:42:46And it was a clever idea.
00:42:48Just if you're going to do something high concept like that, it's kind of got to be funnier.
00:42:54In your case, I felt like the jokes weren't there.
00:42:58Now that was part of the shtick.
00:43:00I got it, but it felt flat.
00:43:02I was waiting for these jokes that never came.
00:43:06I actually found that funny in itself. I was laughing.
00:43:09I wished you hadn't told me that you were out of your comfort zone.
00:43:13Stand up really isn't in my wheelhouse.
00:43:17When you say that, you're making everyone think we're not in safe hands, and we were.
00:43:23You know exactly what you're doing. You're a great performer.
00:43:25I thought your physical behavior was funny, the two of you together, but I wanted more laughs.
00:43:32Tonight for your reveal, that headpiece is so dramatic and gorgeous.
00:43:36Your makeup is so beautiful, but the dress is like mid for me.
00:43:41I think you look stunningly beautiful. Your face, the headdress.
00:43:46I wish some more of those gems could trickle down to the bottom of the dress.
00:43:51I feel a bit sorry for you because it's really beautiful and the colors are gorgeous.
00:43:55It's just in this lineup. It's a bit simple.
00:43:58To be honest, this was probably the first time in this whole competition where I felt out of my depth.
00:44:06I tried to mask it as much as possible, but yeah, thank you so much.
00:44:10Well, thank you. Naomi with a Y.
00:44:13There was something about you that was still funny, even though the jokes weren't really there.
00:44:18It just needed to be funnier.
00:44:21Oddly, you did seem to have more control than Sahara.
00:44:26We've got a great show coming up for you tonight.
00:44:29I felt more confident that you knew the shape of it and you knew where you were going.
00:44:34I loved your energy. It felt spontaneous and you really made me laugh.
00:44:39It's good that at least some of you laughed, so one of you laughed.
00:44:46This could have been really, really good because the two of you together, you have chemistry,
00:44:50there's something there. Set up something because we want to be told a story.
00:44:55Yeah, the story was that we are these characters that were too busy being pretty and shading each other,
00:45:01than doing their homeworks and writing some jokes.
00:45:04Oh, that's every episode of Drag Race.
00:45:11This is just wow. It turned elegant into gruesome, into beautiful, mesmerizing.
00:45:19Oh, my God. Every little thing you did, it built and built and built to this fabulous dramatic crescendo.
00:45:26This look tonight is just a piece of art. I have no idea how you got your eyes to cry
00:45:32black tears.
00:45:32Can't wait to hear the secret.
00:45:33I won't tell you.
00:45:34Oh, you naughty bird.
00:45:38Thank you, Naomi with a Y.
00:45:40Thank you, RuPaul.
00:45:41All right, up next, Mariah.
00:45:43So you, I felt Mariah were like the host, the emcee.
00:45:47Whirling and whirling around the world, and I'm still fabulous.
00:45:50And I felt like you were telling us a story, and it wasn't quite getting there until the end,
00:45:55where you talked about under the bus. And that's when I perked up and was like,
00:45:59oh, that's funny. And that's where you should have been the whole time.
00:46:02You were kind of the straight man in a way, and Gordon was allowed to be the clown.
00:46:06But because you were talking so much, you just, you needed more of the funny in there.
00:46:11You missed a trick when you went down into the splits, and you got the wig stuck on your face.
00:46:18And I thought a bit of physical comedy getting out of the splits would have been so funny,
00:46:24because your persona is so together.
00:46:27In the runway, it's not really a reveal. It's opening a cloak.
00:46:31In a challenge called Reveal, it's a bit, you know, may I take your coat?
00:46:37That gray, so understated, but so glammed up.
00:46:40I absolutely love this outfit. Not much of a reveal, but it is a gorgeous outfit.
00:46:45All right. Thank you.
00:46:47Up next, Godlin.
00:46:49I wouldn't say that you had jokes, but it was your energy and your voice and your reaction that made
00:46:56us laugh.
00:46:57I'm gonna throw her under the bus!
00:47:00You are funny. That's your gift. You have funny bones.
00:47:02Which is extraordinary, because lots of beautiful people don't bother developing a personality.
00:47:07But, uh, God love you, you did.
00:47:09I felt it wasn't really a double act, because although you got laughs, Mariah was really driving the bus.
00:47:18And the two of you were so separated from one another. It's like, we want to see you together, you
00:47:23know?
00:47:23This tonight on the runway was such a beautiful performance. Another gorgeous reveal, but this time it obviously is very
00:47:31personal to you.
00:47:32And you can tell how proud you are wearing it.
00:47:35When you hear that word, reveal, this is what I wanted. I wanted a big wow.
00:47:41It was like you did a magic trick for us. It was extraordinary. You look absolutely stunning.
00:47:47Thank you, God. Thank you so much.
00:47:49Up next, Fontana. You had great energy on stage. And then, just as I was thinking, Jesus, why isn't she
00:47:57using her bucket?
00:47:58How long came the bucket? I thought, well done, you. They really made me laugh.
00:48:01I think where you two really excelled was when you started doing the Portuguese words.
00:48:06Yeah, that was funny.
00:48:09So funny, because it gives the audience the framework. It doesn't keep us hanging for so long to listen to
00:48:14a story, to get to them.
00:48:15It's like, you know, get to the chorus, ma'am. You know?
00:48:19You were so confident and charming. Your energy was amazing. It was so, so funny. The pair of you worked
00:48:26so well together. You were the best team.
00:48:29This is amazing. It's so elevated. To execute it like this is extraordinary.
00:48:35This reveal was so fun. To come down to this was spectacular. I really enjoyed it.
00:48:40It felt like a Russian doll. There were all these constant reveals. It was so exciting to watch.
00:48:48Up next, Kate Butch.
00:48:50I know what you can deliver. Like, comedy is like your thing. And you didn't have cards, which I absolutely
00:48:55loved.
00:48:56Yeah, the two of you were a really likeable double act. And we felt safe. Because, you know, Kate Butch
00:49:01is funny. It's what you do.
00:49:02For me, you were in a different class to everyone else. It was such an assured, confident performance. I thought
00:49:09you were absolutely brilliant.
00:49:10Yeah, we were in safe hands with you. And we knew we would be. You know, there was chemistry between
00:49:15you and Fontana.
00:49:17Had you walked out and said, listen, for the people in the audience who don't know, we brought this bucket
00:49:22here. Because when we go, oh, okay, I know where we're going with this, right?
00:49:26Yeah. But you got there.
00:49:27Yeah. It was my suggestion to keep the bucket till the end. So I do accept responsibility for the lack
00:49:32of bucket.
00:49:33For that choice, you will get the trap door.
00:49:39Thank you, Ruth. Thank you.
00:49:42I love this look. It also made me laugh. I love the unravelling. I think you look hilarious and gorgeous.
00:49:50It's so Kate Butch, the fact it's a big old knitted thing. I love that it's got a knitted hat
00:49:57throughout.
00:49:59And this bikini, I mean, I think it's the least sexy bikini I've ever seen.
00:50:05Thank you so much.
00:50:07This reveal was really fun. And the fact that you're out here pushing yourself into a double reveal,
00:50:13I just like that you're taking risks.
00:50:15Who created this look?
00:50:17It's a little-known northern designer called Kate Butch.
00:50:20Did you knit it yourself?
00:50:21I knitted the whole thing.
00:50:22Ooh, knit-a-please.
00:50:24It's very chic. I love it.
00:50:27Thank you all. I think we've heard enough.
00:50:30While you untuck in the workroom, the judges and I will
00:50:34deliberate. You may leave the stage.
00:50:41Oh my god.
00:50:43Ah.
00:50:43We're backing untucked. We all had good and bad critiques.
00:50:48No one is safe. No one knows what's gonna happen. We're all scared.
00:50:54R.I.P. the chippy tea.
00:50:56What?
00:50:57Oh my god.
00:50:58What the fuck has just happened?
00:51:01It's kind of changed a lot of things.
00:51:04So how is everybody feeling?
00:51:06Graham said that that's the ugliest bikini he's ever seen.
00:51:10Where I come from, that's a compliment.
00:51:11In the world of bastard drag, to have the ugliest bikini on Drag Race.
00:51:15That is so unsexy.
00:51:18No, but Kate is very sexy in that bikini.
00:51:24Stop. I love it.
00:51:27This was the hardest challenge.
00:51:30As much as I was anxious to do it, I had so much fun.
00:51:33I think we worked really, really well together.
00:51:35Oh, same.
00:51:35To be honest, I have no idea how to feel.
00:51:37They weren't laughing, that's okay.
00:51:39But then also at the same time, they gave me, they said that they still enjoyed me.
00:51:45And then they loved the outfit.
00:51:47And now I'm like, to be honest, like, can you guys give me a feedback?
00:51:50Should I be worried?
00:51:55You got really good critiques.
00:51:57It was good, bad, right?
00:51:58Yeah, it was kind of like they said that you had.
00:52:02Girl, I'm not gonna sit here and let everybody stroke your ego, girl.
00:52:06You are fishing for compliments and it's just, oh, it's irritating me.
00:52:10You got the best critiques second to Kate.
00:52:15So I'm not gonna sit here and like, console you.
00:52:17Then, okay.
00:52:18That's just not gonna happen.
00:52:19It's really not about you right now, girl.
00:52:22Shut up.
00:52:24Shut up.
00:52:26It's like, oh no, I didn't get a hard enough pat on the back.
00:52:30I need more attention.
00:52:31I just want to, I just, it's really hard for me to like,
00:52:35hearing everybody's critiques and knowing where you're at.
00:52:37But then I'm just gonna hush.
00:52:39Okay.
00:52:40How are you feeling?
00:52:42Actually devastated.
00:52:44No.
00:52:45Baby.
00:52:46Don't feel devastated.
00:52:47I, pun intended, I wasn't going to throw God, I love you down.
00:52:51Yes.
00:52:52I wasn't going to throw her under the bus.
00:52:53I honestly felt like I was on a team by myself.
00:52:59It was really hard to work and we did find a little bit of a groove.
00:53:03Yeah.
00:53:04But it felt like an uphill battle and I built the bones for it.
00:53:08And I tried to like, okay, make it as simple to throw things Godliness way.
00:53:13I know that we tried our best with what we had.
00:53:16And it just apparently just wasn't enough.
00:53:19I feel bad.
00:53:22You know, I somehow kind of like get more good critique more than her.
00:53:26And I just want to say that I really sorry.
00:53:29Like, that's okay, babe.
00:53:30You know, like, you carry me so much.
00:53:33Yeah, and I will love you.
00:53:35Thank you so much for that.
00:53:37I appreciate it.
00:53:38I feel so devastated.
00:53:41Yeah, it hurts me.
00:53:43But I'm confused why she didn't tell me before this happened.
00:53:48Like, when we worked together.
00:53:50I do think we should remember we got laughs.
00:53:53We felt great in the moment.
00:53:54And most of you guys have never done this before.
00:53:56Mm-hmm.
00:53:57And half of you are doing it in a language that isn't your first.
00:54:00So take the win of having got through the challenge.
00:54:04Yeah.
00:54:05Without crashing and burning because nobody crashed and burned.
00:54:08Who else thinks they're going to be lip syncing?
00:54:09I think it's me and you.
00:54:10Yeah, I think it's me and you.
00:54:12I'm super disappointed in myself because I know that I'm better than what I presented on
00:54:19that stage for the Fringe Festival and also in the runway.
00:54:22Just because I'm potentially going to be lip syncing does not mean I'm about to give away my spot in
00:54:29this competition.
00:54:30I think it's really sad that me and Mariah may have to lip sync against each other.
00:54:38Because obviously I'm a big fan of you and you saved me last week.
00:54:42It was so worth it.
00:54:44I'm just so glad to have this experience with you, baby.
00:54:48Regardless of me lashing out just now, I really have enjoyed being here with you and everybody else.
00:54:57Don't check out.
00:54:58Oh, I'm not checking out.
00:54:59The only time I ever did a lip sync for my life was season three and I got sent home.
00:55:04So I am super fucking nervous right now.
00:55:06I'm going to go and learn my lip sync song.
00:55:09I'm going to watch you learn it.
00:55:12All right, now just between us squirrel friends, I want to know what you think.
00:55:17Starting with Zahaira.
00:55:18The issue for me was that Zahaira felt like she didn't really know her place in the duo.
00:55:24She admitted defeat before she'd even started.
00:55:26I felt like they were hoping that their personalities could save them.
00:55:31She did seem genuinely flustered in a way that Naomi wasn't.
00:55:36And then on the runway, it was a real disappointment.
00:55:40The peach thing was okay and then it revealed to the most basic dress.
00:55:44And Zahaira is not basic.
00:55:46Yeah, I agree.
00:55:47Because that fabric is very difficult to make look top drawer.
00:55:50From the neck up, it was stunning.
00:55:52And then from the neck down, she let herself down.
00:55:56All right, let's talk about Naomi.
00:55:57Naomi somehow seemed more grounded and more present.
00:56:00And I trusted her more.
00:56:02She had created a character at least.
00:56:05She was listening.
00:56:06She was reacting.
00:56:07And it worked for me.
00:56:08Ooh, opener.
00:56:10I hardly know her.
00:56:12She never seemed like she was drowning.
00:56:15She was in command, whereas Zahaira was sort of just flailing.
00:56:19But on the runway tonight, oh my goodness, it was just magical.
00:56:24I love her physicality.
00:56:25I love the expression on her face as these tears were streaming down.
00:56:29It built and built and built.
00:56:31It was like a night at the theater.
00:56:33The story arc that she created was fantastic.
00:56:36All right, let's talk about Mariah.
00:56:37She's a great host.
00:56:38I just needed some more comedy.
00:56:41If you are going to talk that much, you've got to have some jokes in there.
00:56:44You can't be the straight man the whole way through.
00:56:46I'm twirling and whirling around the world and I'm still fabulous.
00:56:49It's a pleasure to watch her perform, but she just wasn't funny.
00:56:54Godlin was funny.
00:56:55Mariah didn't leave enough room for that.
00:56:57We wanted to see more of that.
00:56:59Tonight on the runway, a reveal?
00:57:01Twas not.
00:57:02But it was beautiful.
00:57:04Beautiful on another week.
00:57:07But when the brief is reveal, that is not it.
00:57:10I thought she looked exquisite, but it wasn't as dramatic as everyone else.
00:57:15All right, let's move on to Godlin.
00:57:16We were all eating out of the palm of her hand because she's just funny.
00:57:20I must toss something in there.
00:57:22It looks like trash.
00:57:23I have a sneaking suspicion Godlin's kind of a bit unproducible.
00:57:27And that must be frustrating for Mariah because Godlin's getting all the laughs while
00:57:32Mariah's doing all the work.
00:57:34On the runway, I loved it.
00:57:36And she makes it look so regal, but yet it's drag.
00:57:39From sort of Bangkok doll to that living goddess.
00:57:43It was beautiful.
00:57:44I don't know what they put in the water in Bangkok, but they turned out some fabulous queens.
00:57:50Just amazing.
00:57:51All right, Fontana.
00:57:53Their synchronicity and timing was great.
00:57:56Which means she's the total countries around the world.
00:57:59They did a great job.
00:58:00They brought the bucket out.
00:58:01Yes, Kate said, wait to the end.
00:58:03But the bucket should have been the third person in their duo, so to speak.
00:58:05I can see why Kate Butch resisted the bucket.
00:58:08This is kind of underwhelming that you're going to be upstaged by a bucket.
00:58:14Bring on the bucket.
00:58:15Yeah, I wish they had a bucket.
00:58:18Ultimately, they got there.
00:58:20Tonight on the runway, the reveal was awesome.
00:58:22That suit was amazing.
00:58:25It was really spectacular.
00:58:27I thought as a sort of performance piece, it was just magnetic.
00:58:31I agree, it was a huge success.
00:58:33It was so beautiful.
00:58:34All right, let's talk about Kate Butch.
00:58:37For me, Kate Butch was really the only true comedian on stage.
00:58:41I look very tall and Fontana looks very stupid.
00:58:45I felt very safe in Kate's hands.
00:58:47They're smart.
00:58:48They know how to deliver a joke.
00:58:49Tonight on the runway, I love that Kate is the one who actually knitted and crocheted that outfit.
00:58:54That is remarkable.
00:58:56I was so impressed by that final unraveling.
00:58:59Funny and spectacular.
00:59:01How very Kate Butch.
00:59:02I mean, the color alone was such an odd choice, but it actually worked.
00:59:07They look gorgeous and hilarious.
00:59:09And I thought the knitted g-string was revolting and hilarious.
00:59:15All right, silence.
00:59:17I've made my decision.
00:59:20Bring back my girls.
00:59:23Welcome back, queens.
00:59:25I've made some decisions.
00:59:29Fontana.
00:59:29Fontana.
00:59:31You're safe.
00:59:34You may step to the back of the stage.
00:59:42Godlin.
00:59:44You are safe.
00:59:52Kate Butch.
00:59:54In the Fringe Festival and on the runway, you had us in stitches.
01:00:02From Dragulations, you are the winner of this week's challenge.
01:00:07Thank you so much.
01:00:09And the proud recipient of a coveted gold, Rue Peter Fash.
01:00:16Wear it with pride and think of the United Kingdom.
01:00:24I will.
01:00:26Another one?
01:00:27Oh, I can stand this.
01:00:30You may join the other girls.
01:00:41The only Naomi.
01:00:45You are safe.
01:00:48You may join the other girls.
01:00:51I love you, ladies.
01:01:00Which means Zahaira and Mariah.
01:01:03I'm sorry, my dears.
01:01:05You're both up for elimination.
01:01:07I feel like the wind has been knocked out of me.
01:01:11It is not time for me to go home.
01:01:13I am not finished yet.
01:01:15Two internationally acclaimed queens stand before me.
01:01:24I've consulted with the judges, but the final decision is mine to make.
01:01:31Ladies, this is your last chance.
01:01:34To impress me, save yourself from elimination.
01:01:43The time has come for you to lip sync for your life.
01:01:55Mariah has been such a motherly figure.
01:01:58This is breaking my heart.
01:02:01But I have to fight for my spot.
01:02:03Well, good luck, and don't fuck it up.
01:02:08I have to fight for my spot.
01:02:15I love you!
01:02:16I love you!
01:02:17He was a sifting man.
01:02:18He rushed a long ago.
01:02:19He was big and strong.
01:02:21In his life, a flaming glow.
01:02:23He could preach the Bible like a preacher.
01:02:27Full of ecstasy and fire.
01:02:31He also was the kind of t-shirt men would desire
01:02:38Rah, rah, Rasputin, lover of the Russian queen
01:02:42There was a cat that really was gone
01:02:46Rah, rah, Rasputin, Russia's famous love machine
01:02:50It was a shame how he carried on
01:02:55Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey
01:03:03Gotta go declare these enemies
01:03:06But the ladies begs, don't you try to do it big
01:03:10Now this was routine and lots of human charms
01:03:14So he walks, makes room, they just fell into his arms
01:03:19One night some man of highest man
01:03:22Set a trap down to me
01:03:26Come to visit
01:03:28As they can't demand
01:03:29Can't be really gay
