00:07So, you liked it, right? Was it okay?
00:10I always wanted to start a presentation with rock and roll.
00:13Today I did it, twice, actually.
00:16Yeah, it was really good.
00:18We just started a cooperation with a band, Polish band Riverside.
00:21This is going to be one of the songs that's going to be promoting the game.
00:24But obviously there's just way more.
00:26Now, starting this presentation, and starting the presentation that's like a month before the release of The Witcher 2,
00:34I want to take this chance to give you some facts, before we obviously go into gameplay, because we will
00:39do that as well.
00:40But I want to take this chance to speak about a few facts that a lot of people have been
00:47asking about,
00:48because, I don't know, but potentially for some of them it might be the last chance to get some info
00:54of these.
00:55and I'm going to speak about, as I already said, the most commonly asked questions.
01:00Some people wonder why we are a PC developer.
01:04Some people think PC developers are guys who are actually doing ports of console games these days,
01:11and we're not that kind of developer.
01:13We really believe that PC games can be done with heart,
01:18and we've developed our own technology, because we want to take the best of it to, you know,
01:24take use, make use of the latest technology that's available out there,
01:29and we're not doing a small game, we're not doing, you know, a game that is compromised for being put
01:37on consoles later on.
01:38This is a PC-exclusive game, and this is what we are.
01:42CD Projekt Red has always been doing PC games, so far.
01:47And if you own a PC, if you're a guy who believes in PC gaming, this is just a game
01:52for you.
01:53We're trying to create a game that everybody will like to play on their PCs,
01:57because they like playing on PCs.
02:00All right, and it's not only that we have it really deep in heart,
02:04and it's not only that we strongly believe in the fact that doing PC games have a future,
02:09it's also a lot of media who already have played the game and have gave us their comments
02:15that also back us up with these beliefs, saying that this is going to be a great game.
02:22And I want to thank all the media for, you know, giving us warm words on,
02:28especially on a preview code, which we have sent recently.
02:31Now, a few words about the hardware requirements of The Witcher 2.
02:36We have done our new engine, we have done our own technology, Red Engine,
02:42and we have done to make sure that, on one hand, it's going to take advantage of all the latest
02:48hardware,
02:48all the latest PCs out there, while, on the other hand, it's going to be scalable.
02:54And it is.
02:55So, with the minimum requirements of your, you might play The Witcher 2 on a PC that's like,
03:03I would say, two years old or so, and it's going to run smooth on minimal settings,
03:07while, on the other hand, if you have two cores, if you have hyper-threading,
03:11or even four cores, you will definitely notice the difference.
03:15And here's an example.
03:17I've taken the screenshot yesterday, and it gives you proof that this game has been done
03:24not only exclusively for PCs, but also it has in mind all the latest achievements of PCs,
03:31and what's available.
03:33So, it runs on many cores, it uses RAM and graphical cards, and, you know.
03:40It just takes advantage of the latest hardware.
03:43Obviously, I already mentioned that all of that was possible thanks to Red Engine,
03:47the technology that we have, and it's our own proprietary technology.
03:51It's the engine that we have written in-house.
03:54We actually spent, like, a year and a half, at the very beginning of this project,
03:58to actually prototype everything before we started the script, the actual game on it.
04:04And that's when we were sure that it's going to be a great RPG, tailor-made engine.
04:10And this is what Red Engine is.
04:11And you can actually, you can definitely expect visual and performance difference
04:18in between The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2, because a few years have passed, right?
04:24Now, there's also been some rumors and speculations and questions, obviously,
04:30about how the installation and registration process of The Witcher 2 is going to look like,
04:37and that's why I want to take a few minutes to walk you through this,
04:41to make sure that it's easy, and it actually gives you a lot of advantages,
04:45especially for people who buy our game.
04:47I'm speaking about legal customers, obviously.
04:51So there are pretty much five simple steps.
04:53The first and the last one are probably the easiest one for me.
04:57I mean, for you, maybe buying the game might require actually going to the shop
05:00or downloading it, depending on where you buy it.
05:03But still, then you have to install it.
05:05Then you might want to register.
05:06It's optional.
05:07You don't have to do it.
05:08And then, obviously, after launching the game,
05:10you might want to finish it even multiple times if you want to.
05:15Now, the installation is really easy.
05:17Obviously, there are a lot of things that you are quite used to
05:20that you already know how they look,
05:22like the copying of data on your hard drive and so on.
05:26But there is a beginning of this process where you have to put a code,
05:29a code that has been provided with your game.
05:32You put this code into the registration box.
05:37It's a Securum code, and it activates your product pretty much.
05:41So, it requires one-time internet connection during installation only,
05:47and you are not required to use internet connection later on at any moment
05:53while playing The Witcher 2.
05:56Additionally, there is also around maximum 50 megabytes of additional download
06:02while finishing the installation of the game, and it's complete.
06:07Now, a few words about the copy protection that we have in The Witcher 2.
06:12It's also been a subject of questions a lot.
06:17I have said the word Securum, and yes, we're not afraid that it's Securum,
06:21but let me give you a short explanation why we have chosen Securum
06:25for a copy protection of our game.
06:28The main reason for it definitely was not to make it troublesome
06:33for anyone to install and use our game.
06:36I already said that it's not required to be connected to the internet
06:39while playing The Witcher 2.
06:41It's only required at the very beginning to activate the product.
06:46And the main reason why we wanted to have the product activation
06:52at the installation process, at the beginning of using your game,
06:55is because we wanted to prevent the piracy prior to the release of the game.
07:02I mean, it's pretty much the only way we could make sure
07:06that the game is going to be safe until May 17th,
07:10and that it's not the pirates who are going to play the game first,
07:14because we definitely would not want that.
07:17On top of that, the version, the variety, sorry, the kind of Securum
07:24that we have implemented in The Witcher 2 is really easy to use,
07:28because it allows you to install your game on unlimited number of computers,
07:33an unlimited number of installation, that is.
07:36And it also allows you to play on up to five computers at once.
07:40So we wanted to make sure that it's not complicated, not troublesome,
07:46and that it's not going to be trouble for players.
07:51More for pirates, obviously, but that's a different story.
07:55Now, next thing is registering your game.
07:58As I already said, it's optional.
08:00But if you do it, you will gain access to a lot of benefits.
08:05Not only do you want to encourage people to register,
08:08but also there's just cool stuff that becomes, like,
08:11logically available when you do this.
08:14To start with, you will have automatic updates of the game,
08:18at least notifications, because obviously these updates are not mandatory,
08:22but the game will notify you of the fact that there is an update or a patch available,
08:27and on the right side you can see the launcher of the game.
08:31It can download the patch and automatically apply it to your game.
08:35But also there will be more features, like, for example, language packs,
08:41available for people who go into this downloadable content tab in their launcher.
08:48It's going to give access to registered users to a lot of content that will be used in-game.
08:55Like language packs, for example.
08:57At day one, at May 17, we will release and make it available for everybody,
09:03two language packs, Polish language and English language.
09:07So you will be able to install them on any registered, at least legally,
09:12registered copy of your game.
09:14Any free DLC that we might be releasing in the future,
09:18the free ones, not, like, totally blown up huge ones,
09:21but, you know, those that are free will be also available through that for everybody who registered,
09:27and probably there's going to be more, but about that in the future.
09:31And, oh yeah, one thing, we did not implement the automatic update notice feature for pirates.
09:38We're really sorry for that.
09:40Next thing is using save games from The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2,
09:46and things that interconnect these two topics.
09:50To start with, we always wanted to stress how much we love our fans,
09:55especially these that are more or less hardcore fans,
09:58and really appreciate what we do.
10:01And that's why we knew from the very beginning that we would implement the feature
10:05of transferring a save game from The Witcher 1 to The Witcher 2
10:08to kind of pick up the adventure from the very beginning.
10:12And that's why we have done it.
10:13But there's one really, really important thing about it worth stressing,
10:18and it's that it's optional.
10:20It's not mandatory to play The Witcher 1,
10:22to buy it, to install it, to play through it,
10:24to finish it, and to have the save game to start playing The Witcher 2.
10:29The Witcher 2 is a story of its own.
10:31It's an adventure of its own.
10:32It's a standalone game.
10:34So you do not have to have played The Witcher 1.
10:37On the other hand, though, people that will be so kind to us
10:41to actually have played The Witcher 1 and have the save games from it,
10:45it will be possible to import it in The Witcher 2.
10:53Actually, it will be really, really easy,
10:55because The Witcher 2, if you have The Witcher 1 and The Witcher 2
10:57installed on your hard drive,
10:59The Witcher 2 will automatically find the save games from The Witcher 1.
11:03And if you have few of them, like after a critical point,
11:06after the last autosave of The Witcher 1,
11:09you will actually even be asked which one you prefer to use.
11:14So it's not obligatory, but on the other hand,
11:17it's a cool treat for everybody who appreciated what we do.
11:21Oh, sorry, and there's one more thing about save games
11:26and about importing the save game
11:30and about finishing the game.
11:32The most choices that you make in The Witcher 1
11:37are reflected in The Witcher 2,
11:39and it leads to a lot of different situations
11:41that you meet throughout the game.
11:43And there's also one more thing,
11:46obviously a lot of you already know that,
11:47that The Witcher 2 will have 16 different endings.
11:52And I wanted to challenge all the players out there
11:55that the first person who is going to finish The Witcher 2
11:58with all the endings and will prove it to us
12:01and will send us the save games,
12:03obviously it has to happen after May 17th,
12:06that will send us the save games from The Witcher 2
12:10with all the endings will get a T-shirt
12:12that says,
12:13I've seen the end 16 times.
12:19If you prove that you have,
12:21you will get a T-shirt like that.
12:22I challenge you.
12:24Now, next thing that has been speculated
12:27and questioned a lot,
12:29and not questioned,
12:30but, you know,
12:31we had questions about this one,
12:33was how many versions,
12:34not only regional,
12:36but, like, content-wise.
12:37How many versions of The Witcher 2 will there be?
12:40And I want to stress
12:41that there will only be one version
12:43regarding the content of the game.
12:45I don't know,
12:45quests, locations, adventures, and everything.
12:48There will only be one version of the game,
12:50and none of them will have any censorship.
12:54We already had contacted
12:56all the commissions and boards out there on the world,
13:00and we know that what we have done
13:03in The Witcher 2 will be okay
13:05as a mature game,
13:07which we actually are targeting at,
13:09so it's going to be cool.
13:11And one more thing,
13:12you probably already know
13:13that we have 11 languages
13:15that we release the game with
13:17and in worldwide,
13:19but I want to stress
13:21that all of these languages
13:22have been done by us,
13:26especially these ones
13:28that are full localization,
13:29like voiceover ones.
13:31they have been done in-house
13:33because we have
13:35really big and dedicated
13:37localization team on board,
13:39and these languages
13:40are going to be really polished,
13:42and, well,
13:44they've put a lot of heart into it,
13:45that's why actually
13:45I'm mentioning that fact.
13:47All other languages
13:48have been at least,
13:50have at least been
13:52really tightly coordinated by us,
13:55so we definitely wanted to make sure
13:56that these languages
13:57are going to be right there,
13:58and they're going to have the wit
14:00that Polish and English one,
14:02which are starting ones,
14:03have as well.
14:07And, yes,
14:08we already have rating information
14:11from ESRB,
14:12so as you can see,
14:13with times moving forward,
14:15we can release the game as it is,
14:18without any censorship,
14:19just putting all of these disclaimers
14:21in here,
14:21which we have,
14:23and it's okay,
14:23because actually all this content
14:25is in a game,
14:26and we do want to warn
14:29parents that might be trying
14:32to buy the game
14:33to two young kids,
14:34but all other people
14:36that will be buying the game
14:37will at least know what there is.
14:39Yes, I have been speaking
14:41for a few minutes,
14:42now actually it's time
14:43for some action.
14:44We're going to switch
14:44to a game now,
14:45and we're going to give you
14:47a live presentation
14:48of The Witcher 2.
14:50It's going to be a part of the game,
14:51roughly in the middle of it,
14:52and what's important about it
14:54is that we have,
14:56well, it's one of the many
14:57presentations that I've done,
14:59but this one is really unique
15:01and specific,
15:02because so far,
15:03most of the presentations
15:04we've done
15:04were mainly about story,
15:07about world,
15:08I'm not saying that
15:08it's not going to be there,
15:09obviously,
15:09you can play a game
15:10without the world,
15:11but we've done a lot of things
15:13to stress how the most important
15:15features of the game
15:16look like,
15:17like the story and the world,
15:18and this one,
15:19because there are a lot
15:20of questions about combat,
15:21will be focused mainly
15:23around combat,
15:24with some exploration
15:25in mind as well,
15:27but, yeah,
15:28without further ado,
15:29let's start some fighting.
15:38As I already mentioned,
15:39we're roughly
15:40in the middle of the game,
15:41this is the second chapter of it,
15:43and we're going to walk
15:44through a really huge open area
15:46in a moment,
15:47but obviously,
15:48there will be some enemies,
15:50some opponents on our way.
15:51Before we start fighting with them,
15:54I just want to take
15:55few moments to prepare
15:56for some combat.
15:58We're going to start
15:59with preparing our gear
16:01that we have.
16:03Negotiator is a really cool sword
16:04that we might want to be using,
16:06because it's really effective
16:08against magical creatures
16:10and monsters,
16:11and it has the freezing chance,
16:14which is cool,
16:15it slows down the enemies,
16:16sorry,
16:17and also freezes them
16:18for a period of time.
16:19And also,
16:19we have a quite good,
16:21I would say,
16:22steel sword
16:23that has a few
16:24really nice characteristics.
16:25We also have a jacket
16:27that's better than the one
16:28we're wearing right now,
16:29so we might as well
16:30want to exchange them.
16:31As you can see,
16:31it has quite high resistance
16:34towards three different elements,
16:37I would say.
16:39Okay, that's it for the gear.
16:41Now, let's try to think
16:42about some leveling up,
16:44because we already have
16:46a few talents
16:46that we've gained
16:47on the previous parts
16:48of the game.
16:49Now it's time to show you
16:50how you distribute them,
16:52how you unlock skills,
16:53and what these skills give you.
16:55You can see the tree
16:56of a character development
16:57in The Witcher 2.
16:59On the right side,
17:00you can see a swordsman path
17:02or a tree,
17:02a set of skills.
17:03On the bottom,
17:04you can see the alchemical one,
17:05and on the left one,
17:07on the left side,
17:08it's the magical tree.
17:10Obviously, there are
17:10a lot of skills
17:11that you can unlock.
17:12Some of them are really
17:13gameplay-oriented,
17:15as you can see.
17:16Like, for example,
17:17this skill here,
17:18it's a repost.
17:19If you unlock it
17:20and if you use it,
17:21it allows you to time
17:22your attacks in a manner
17:23that allows you to
17:25either deal a lot of damage
17:27to your opponent
17:29or kill him with one strike.
17:30One more important thing,
17:32some of the skills
17:33that you can see in here
17:35have additional slots
17:36like dots in here.
17:38You can fill them
17:39by having mutagens.
17:40If you find mutagens
17:42and if you want to use them,
17:43they actually enhance this skill
17:46with way new possibilities.
17:48Like in here,
17:49it increases your level
17:51of vitality
17:52just by using this mutagen.
17:54Okay, let's apply it.
17:56And we also want to
17:57unlock some new skills.
17:59What do you think about magic?
18:00Lukasz is playing the game.
18:01I'm just encouraging him.
18:03Yeah, that's a cool one
18:05because we probably
18:06will find this one
18:07really, really handy.
18:08It's the enhancement
18:09of one of the magical signs,
18:12spells, if you might.
18:13This one is called
18:14Irdan, the magical sign.
18:16And if you enhance it,
18:17it's possible for you
18:18to put more than one sign
18:20on the ground.
18:21It's a magical trap,
18:21as I already mentioned.
18:22And if you put two or three,
18:24they interconnect
18:25and create either a line
18:27or an area
18:27that stuns the opponent
18:29whenever he walks inside.
18:32All right.
18:33Are we buying anything else?
18:34Oh, yes.
18:35The whirlwind
18:36is a really cool skill
18:37because it regenerates
18:40two of your characteristics
18:42at the same time.
18:43So it's...
18:44Yeah.
18:45Okay.
18:46And it also increases
18:47the amount of adrenaline
18:49that is being generated
18:50with successful strikes
18:51of your sword.
18:52And obviously,
18:53we also want to
18:54to use some mixtures
18:55to make sure
18:56that we're prepared
18:57for the battle
18:58as well as possible.
19:01To start off,
19:02Swallow is a potion
19:03that regenerates
19:04your vitality.
19:06It's really effective.
19:08But if it...
19:09In case it might not be enough,
19:10we will also use
19:12Toniole,
19:13which is a potion
19:15with a similar effect,
19:17but this one
19:17has a side effect.
19:19The Toniole,
19:20it decreases your damage
19:22by 40%.
19:22And there is also
19:26Virga, right?
19:29Virga accelerates
19:30your Vigor regeneration,
19:31which is used
19:32for using magical signs
19:33and using the spells.
19:36All right.
19:37Let's drink them.
19:37There was also
19:38a toxicity bar
19:39at the bottom,
19:40if you noticed.
19:41You cannot exceed
19:42the maximum level
19:43of toxicity.
19:44If you don't,
19:45we kind of actually
19:46matched to be
19:47just below
19:47the maximum level.
19:49So we're going to be,
19:50as they call,
19:51deadly effective.
19:52And deadly it will be.
19:53All right.
19:55First pack of enemies
19:55is just ahead us.
19:57We're going to fight
19:58with,
19:58if I recall correctly,
20:00four enemies.
20:01And not only...
20:02Oh yeah,
20:03to start off with a shield,
20:04really nice defensive sign.
20:06We're going to be using items
20:07like this one.
20:08And we're also going to be using
20:10different tactics
20:11and shape of the terrain.
20:14You will see that
20:15by throwing an art sign
20:16to a guy who's standing
20:17on the edge of a cliff,
20:19we can kill him
20:20with one strike
20:21pushing him off the cliff.
20:23There are two opponents in here.
20:25Oh, sorry.
20:25Where there...
20:26Yeah.
20:26There are two of them.
20:28And we can probably...
20:29We might want to...
20:31going to deal with
20:31this weaker one first
20:33and then tend to
20:34the stronger guy
20:35with a huge sword
20:36because this one
20:38requires some timing,
20:40some blocking.
20:40Try blocking.
20:41Try blocking.
20:41Come on.
20:42Some blocking.
20:43There you go.
20:44And if you time it right,
20:45you can repulse.
20:46You can see the icon
20:47that changes on a guy.
20:48It allows you to repulse
20:49at the right moment
20:50and it deals a lot of damage
20:52with a chance
20:52of critical strike
20:54killing the guy
20:55with one strike.
20:56Really nice.
20:57There's a really wide area
20:59opening up.
21:00It's one of these
21:01that we have in game.
21:02We have a lot of them.
21:04But there will be
21:05more opponents coming up
21:06from what I know.
21:07And once again,
21:08we will use the shape
21:09of the terrain.
21:10This short...
21:11This narrow passage here.
21:13Put the advanced
21:15or two instances
21:17of Erden Trap
21:18and they interconnect
21:19as you can already see
21:20because we have the skill.
21:21And a guy who's running into it
21:23will get stunned.
21:24What a surprise.
21:25And then we can deal with them.
21:27There are more opponents
21:29in here.
21:29And a small monster as well.
21:31Poor baby.
21:33Okay.
21:34And yeah,
21:34dealing with the monster
21:35is probably
21:36the fastest one
21:38because it's a small one.
21:39Not really dangerous.
21:41But also,
21:41there is one weaker guy
21:43and one stronger guy
21:44once again.
21:45But stronger guy
21:46is with a shield
21:47which means
21:48that there are going to be
21:49different tactics
21:50required against this one
21:52than for the previous one
21:54with a huge sword.
21:57Now,
21:58if you hit the guy
21:59in a shield
22:00most of the time,
22:01not all of them,
22:02but most of the time,
22:03you just hit his shield
22:04and you cannot deal
22:05too much damage to him.
22:06As you can also see,
22:08he's got a lot of health
22:09so you can try
22:10many tactics.
22:11Blocking his strikes
22:13will get him out of balance.
22:14That's one thing.
22:16Other thing
22:17is just throwing
22:18the stunning side
22:19at him.
22:20Hard one.
22:21and there's a chance
22:22obviously
22:23that he gets knocked down
22:24and then you can finish him
22:24with a really spectacular finisher.
22:27Oh,
22:27and we found a sword.
22:28By the way,
22:29these guys were camping here.
22:31It seems like
22:31a really nice cozy place.
22:33We might as well use it.
22:34Why not?
22:35We even thought about
22:36giving some mandolin
22:37to Geralt
22:38to play by the fire
22:39but it's not in there
22:41right now.
22:42And,
22:43yes,
22:44why we are meditating
22:45is,
22:46I told Lukasz not to do it
22:47but he feels gutsy today
22:49and he definitely wants
22:50to wait until the night
22:51and go into the open area,
22:54the wild,
22:54the wilderness
22:55and fight with monsters
22:56because there are
22:57more monsters
22:59at that time
23:00and we're just gonna
23:02make it harder.
23:05Once again,
23:06with the time passing
23:07the effect of the potions
23:09has worn off
23:12and that's why
23:12we had to drink
23:13more of them.
23:14And once again,
23:16some of them
23:16have side effects
23:17like the one
23:19that regenerates vitality
23:20and to compensate
23:23for,
23:23yeah,
23:24we can put the fire off
23:25and obviously
23:27destroy some environment.
23:28Yes,
23:28yes,
23:29we have destructibles,
23:30yes.
23:31And to,
23:32as I mentioned,
23:33to actually make up
23:35for the side effect
23:36of one of the potions
23:37we might want
23:37to use some oil
23:39on the blade
23:40of our sword
23:40because it increases
23:41the damage
23:42that we deal
23:43with this sword.
23:44It's one more
23:45use of alchemy,
23:46necrophage oil.
23:47it somehow happens
23:48that we already know
23:49that there are
23:51necrophage monsters
23:52coming up
23:53and that's why
23:53we're gonna be using
23:54this kind of oil.
23:56And there we go.
23:58There's gonna be
23:58a wide open area.
24:00These monsters
24:01are gonna be storming
24:02at us
24:03from many directions
24:04at the same time.
24:05So it's quite advisable
24:07to use different tactics
24:09against them.
24:10Putting a sign in here
24:11might not,
24:12sorry,
24:13not a sign,
24:13a trap,
24:14an exploding trap.
24:15Might have been a good idea
24:16if this guy tried
24:17to get from behind.
24:20I already mentioned
24:21that this sword
24:21has a chance
24:22of freezing monsters
24:23so it actually did.
24:24There's a huge one
24:25if you aim your bomb.
24:27By throwing the bomb
24:28button you can aim it
24:29actually.
24:30And yeah,
24:31you stun him
24:31for a while
24:32and we can freeze him
24:33and that was deadly effective.
24:34I will say
24:35nice tactics
24:35out there.
24:36But obviously
24:37there are more monsters
24:38coming.
24:39And there are
24:40other buildings
24:41and walls.
24:42I will be talking
24:42about them later on.
24:44Just that now.
24:44Nice throw.
24:45Nice one.
24:48Okay.
24:49Let's see how
24:50Łukasz deals
24:51with many of them
24:52surrounding.
24:55I know a lot of things
24:57are happening
24:57on the screen
24:58right now.
24:59Just,
25:00just,
25:01please remember
25:02that this is hard,
25:03difficulty setting.
25:05If somebody
25:05is trying to play
25:06the easy way
25:07through the Witcher 2
25:07they won't have
25:08to use advanced deck.
25:09But,
25:10if you are a hardcore player
25:12this is what you get.
25:14nice.
25:22There's more
25:23and more of them.
25:28Oh,
25:29and there's even
25:29one bigger one.
25:31Rock fiends,
25:32this kind of monsters
25:33has one really,
25:35really nasty
25:36characteristic feature.
25:39When they are really
25:40low on health
25:41they explode.
25:42So,
25:42if you feel like
25:43you're finishing one
25:44it's probably
25:45nice,
25:45nice tactics.
25:46It's probably
25:47a good idea
25:48to run away
25:49and let him
25:49explode
25:50in solid check.
25:54Once again,
25:55the defensive side
25:56and just some
25:57whirlwinds
25:58of the sword.
25:59One exploded
26:00taking player down.
26:03Let's see if we
26:04can pull it out
26:05actually.
26:06Nice mix
26:07of fighting
26:09with one of these
26:10opponents
26:10with a sword
26:11and then putting
26:11a stunning side
26:12on the side
26:13to stun
26:14another one.
26:15That was really
26:15really nice.
26:17Alright,
26:18we can pick up
26:19empty trap
26:20after it's been used
26:21if we want to.
26:26Alright,
26:27so,
26:27next thing
26:28we might want to do
26:29I mean,
26:30Lukasz is really
26:30good at this
26:31so,
26:32he might as well
26:34be doing this
26:34forever
26:35but because it's
26:36a really nice
26:37open area
26:37a huge location
26:38we might want
26:39to meditay
26:39until the day
26:40and show you
26:41how it looks
26:42during the daytime
26:43because I think
26:44it's really nice
26:45and I can tell you
26:45a few words
26:46about the surrounding
26:47it's actually
26:48one of the versions
26:49one of the varieties
26:51of chapter 2
26:52of the game
26:53if you play
26:54one of the storyline
26:55paths through it
26:56you land in here
26:57in chapter 2
26:57of the game
26:58this is a huge
26:59military camp
27:00that we're seeing
27:01right here
27:01in a full version
27:02of the game
27:03you will have a chance
27:04to walk in there
27:04just right now
27:05right now
27:06but obviously
27:07it's just one part
27:08of the location
27:09you can go many ways
27:10from here
27:12once again
27:13rock teams
27:19we're poisoned
27:20as you can see
27:21on the borders
27:21of the screen
27:25oh there's one more
27:33freezing
27:34is actually
27:36especially effective
27:37against this type
27:38of opponents
27:39because these guys
27:41when they freeze
27:42when you stun
27:43and freeze them
27:43with this kind
27:44of sword
27:45they do not
27:45explode
27:46as well
27:47die
27:58yeah
28:00I know Lukash
28:01as well
28:02could be doing
28:02this forever
28:03so
28:06we might as well
28:07want to move on
28:08unless there are
28:08more monsters
28:11oh yeah
28:11and picking up
28:12the loot
28:14as well
28:14and firing up
28:16did you fire up
28:16a carcass
28:17come on man
28:18that wasn't nice
28:20alright
28:20oh yeah
28:21there's a quest
28:22burnt corpse
28:23one of nine
28:24we won't be burning
28:24all nine right now
28:25please
28:26let's not do it
28:26okay
28:27now
28:29these guys
28:29are not gonna be
28:30nice to us
28:31because these are
28:32bounty hunters
28:33been observing you
28:34for a while
28:35now
28:37and
28:37just wondering
28:39if I can bring
28:40you in alive
28:41and get a higher
28:42reward you know
28:43well
28:44you can't
28:46damn shame
28:47I'd say
28:49they're gonna try
28:50anyway
28:50and it somehow
28:51happens that
28:52there's a reward
28:53for
28:54there's a prize
28:55for Geralt's head
28:56so they're gonna be
28:57fighting with us
28:58there's a mage
28:59among them
28:59so we'll start
29:00with an exe sign
29:01this one takes over
29:03the mind of one
29:03of the opponents
29:04he starts attacking
29:05one of his own
29:06so these two guys
29:08are busy
29:08we might at that time
29:10tend to the other
29:11ones
29:11the mage is always
29:13trying to attack us
29:14from a distance
29:14from time to time
29:16he will be trying
29:16to
29:17there you go
29:17to teleport
29:18or to heal
29:20so
29:21at certain occasions
29:22he becomes a top
29:23priority of attack
29:24for a lot of players
29:25all right
29:26once again
29:28a finisher
29:29because
29:29our
29:30adrenaline bar
29:31has been
29:34filled
29:35to the maximum
29:36one more
29:37there are two guys
29:38left
29:39we might want
29:39to
29:39there you go
29:40a group finishers
29:41really nice
29:43spectacular animation
29:43you can unlock
29:44group finishers
29:45as one of the
29:47advanced skills
29:48of using your sword
29:49and you can kill
29:50up to three
29:51opponents
29:52at once
29:53all right
29:54so
29:55yeah
29:56I know
29:56Łukasz is feeling
29:57really gutsy
29:57right now
29:57I already told you that
29:58so
29:59we might as well
30:00try to explore a bit
30:01and find
30:02one
30:02more
30:03really
30:03really dangerous
30:04place
30:05in this area
30:06if we go further on
30:08oh yeah
30:08there will be rock fiends
30:10but
30:10as you have already seen
30:11these are not too much
30:12of a threat
30:13so
30:14there's probably gonna be
30:15more dangerous place
30:16like in here
30:18it looks like
30:19a small
30:21hole in the ground
30:22like a small passage
30:23and
30:24for any
30:25exploration
30:25kind of players
30:27I have
30:28secret
30:29information
30:29that there's a treasure
30:30hidden in here
30:32but obviously
30:32as any treasure
30:33in any RPG game
30:35it's probably gonna be
30:36well guarded
30:37I'm not spoiling
30:38no not at all
30:40all right
30:40if you walk down
30:41you can watch the medallion
30:42because it will
30:44yeah
30:46it will signal
30:47that there is a danger
30:48coming up
30:48I mean
30:49not that there is
30:50something that will
30:50scare Geralt
30:51but at least
30:52it's an information
30:52so yeah
30:55and
30:56oh yes
30:56it's an Arrakas
30:59this guy is nasty
31:01because he not only
31:02has a regular
31:04strong blows
31:05that he
31:06puts upon us
31:07and they take
31:07the opponent
31:07the Geralt
31:08sorry
31:08down
31:09but he also
31:10sometimes utilizes
31:11charging attack
31:12like this one
31:13which is deadly
31:14effective as well
31:15but that's not
31:16even all
31:17we're gonna have to
31:18be extra careful
31:19with this one
31:20and time the attacks
31:21that we have
31:21probably also use
31:22some defensive signs
31:24there you go
31:25like a magical trap
31:26oh we're really low
31:27on health
31:28can we do it
31:29he also spits
31:29some green slime
31:30that has a chance
31:31of poisoning us
31:33and stunning
31:33for a while
31:34Igni sign is good
31:36you're really low
31:36on health
31:40nice try
31:41let's see if he can
31:42do it
31:42actually
31:46nice rolling away
31:51okay
31:53last chance
31:54buddy
31:57that's what I
31:58thought actually
31:59this one is
32:00too difficult
32:01yeah but don't
32:02worry guys
32:02don't worry guys
32:03there's one
32:03important thing
32:04I always stress
32:05it
32:05this game is
32:06not about
32:06separating young
32:07boys from
32:08grown up men
32:09actually if you
32:10see the opponent
32:10that is too
32:11difficult for you
32:12it's not a
32:13bad idea
32:13not a bad
32:14tactics to run
32:15away
32:15level up a
32:16bit
32:16and get
32:17back
32:18with time
32:19and obviously
32:20you've already
32:21seen that there's
32:22a way more
32:23to explore
32:23than just
32:24this open
32:25ground in here
32:26which was huge
32:27but there are
32:27more wide open
32:29areas in
32:30which are too
32:30and once again
32:32to stress
32:32this presentation
32:33was about combat
32:34because we felt
32:35there were a lot
32:36of questions
32:36about how it
32:37actually works
32:38so we tried
32:39to use as
32:39many tactics
32:40in this short
32:4115 or 20
32:42minutes presentation
32:43as we could
32:43and yeah
32:45that's it
32:46the last thing
32:46for me to say
32:47is that
32:48you know the
32:49place
32:49please go
32:50pre-order the
32:50game
32:51and thank you
32:52very much
32:59and now about
33:00one other place
33:01that is especially
33:02known for DRM
33:03free games
33:04I will hand
33:05on to
33:06Trevor Longino
33:07who's
33:08head of PR
33:08and marketing
33:09at GOG
33:10who's
33:11he also likes
33:11to be called
33:12supreme commander
33:13captain o captain
33:16and then
33:16to be called
