00:06For our second Dev Diary, we're going to be talking about two of our eight Warframes that we're revealing, Loki
00:13and Mag.
00:20I guess we'll start with Loki, because my personal favorite at the moment.
00:24Yeah, also a favorite.
00:29You know, I think I definitely use the invisibility, like, of his four powers. Invisibility is my most used thing
00:35ever. If you get rid of it, I would be very sad, but, I mean, it's helped me in battle,
00:40like, when it's just like, oh, every single enemy has decided to attack me, and just, invisible.
00:45Oh, yeah. And the way he casts him, too. It just looks like, yeah, you know, it's appropriate to his
00:52character. It's, you know, he's not going into a Kung Fu meditate. He looks like just this devilish guy that's
00:58like, zoom, zoom, zoom, zoom.
01:02The decoy is pretty useful, too. Yep.
01:05I'm finding I use that as well. That's the one you start with?
01:09That's the one you start with. It's your lowest level power.
01:12What I find interesting is hearing different players come up, and they're like, oh, the decoy sucks, and then you
01:17go talk to the next guy.
01:18He's like, I love decoy, because I use it in this way, and I cast it out here, and it
01:23draws enemies out there, and that allows me to do this.
01:25And then you go to the next guy, and he's like, yeah, it's okay. I can use it sometimes, but
01:28I like this power.
01:29It's really interesting that the player stories differ from person to person.
01:36Switch Teleport's been around for a long time. Originally, it was on, it was just on our first testing warframe,
01:41and I remember, like, back around March, and, like, the weird things that you could do with it, and we
01:50kept getting QA bugs for it, which are like, oh, you can use Switch Teleport.
01:55another player, and that, you know, you should fix that. You can use Switch Teleport in this way, and our
02:00philosophy with the game and with the powers is to not nail down and kind of constrain everything, because what
02:06we really want is, like, expressive play, and for them to figure out how to use a power in a
02:11way that, like, even Scott, as a designer on it, never even imagined it to be used.
02:16There's just really interesting ways you can use Decoy with, like, Switch Teleport. You can put your Decoy up on
02:23a ledge.
02:23You can switch your Decoy.
02:25So, like, this was another, yeah, Switch Teleport is so awesome.
02:30You can throw your Decoy up on a sniper position, and then switch with your Decoy, and get to spots
02:35that you shouldn't be in, or whatever.
02:44I saw you playing with Mag today, and you had the pull, which is my favorite.
02:51Yeah, so, like, in the situation Steve described locking the guy in the fire, you know, we did the Mag
02:56pull, and now, you know, because of that discovery, people know that I can pull someone into fire.
03:03We have also went into danger.
03:05My favorite pull, my favorite pull move is, we have levels with giant pits, and I love pulling them from
03:11afar, and watching it.
03:12And watching it fall?
03:13Yeah.
03:13Into the space pits.
03:14Every time I get in there, it reminds me of people.
03:17Oh, for sure.
03:20One that's really appealing right now is where you kind of cast this bubble or area of influence around the
03:27character, and any projectiles that enter that bubble, redirect them at the person in the bubble.
03:33So, you know, concept-wise, you're like, oh, my God, that works, that's awesome, and you throw it in the
03:38game, and, of course, there's a few things coming, a few good, a few bad, but it definitely feels like
03:44one that's going to work.
03:45Yeah.
03:46That feels really cool.
03:50Is the name, like, an Uber power for the fourth one by the time you get your fourth unlocked?
03:54Yeah.
03:55Okay, because Mag's Uber is just insane.
03:57And what it is, basically, it's called Crush.
04:00You imitate the guys in the air, and, you know, you're doing your magic cast, and they're folding up into
04:06a little ball.
04:07And it's like, everyone comes up at the same time, collapses at the same time, and falls at the same
04:12time.
04:12It's like this, it's just a hilarious symphony of devious activity, I guess you could say.
