00:30We're standing inside of an installation that I created here for the ICA in Milan
00:38I was first brought this project last year
00:42And I was asked to respond to an installation by Mark Camille Chaimowicz
00:49That he had dedicated to Ginkok Tu
00:53Initially it was just only going to be comprised of my work
00:57But I think in the spirit of Mark Camille's initial installation
01:06It made sense for me to try and include my work
01:10Within the context of artists that I feel have pushed me
01:19Or informed a lot of the work that I do
01:21And to me that felt like a more authentic type of mirroring of what he has done
01:29And I'm quite proud of the results
01:32I would say
01:33Particularly this vinyl record holder
01:38That I've included a lot of very influential records
01:43That I feel are very important to my growth
01:46Which people have the opportunity
01:50And are allowed to actually play on this vinyl record player
01:54That's sitting in the corner
01:56And another piece that I'm quite proud of
01:59Is the crucifix piece
02:01It's titled Weighing Forgiveness in Light of
02:06Which I think is kind of a play on words
02:10Made from a weighing scale
02:12And fiberglass
02:16That was dyed purple
02:18Right now
02:20There's a performance taking place
02:23With the work of Pierre Huy
02:25Who's a French artist
02:27I'm not sure exactly when the first iteration of this performance took place
02:33But we simply have one of the lights
02:36Being covered over one of the performers' faces
02:40And then amongst that
02:43We also have a performance dedicated to one of Cynthia Ruggeri's works
02:49Where we have a model
02:51Who has placed her dress over a tabletop
02:55And all of this is kind of dealing with the domestic
02:59Kind of
03:00In relation to Mark Camille's initial installation
03:04So I think it's all working
03:06Not a literal mirror
03:08It's not a literal mirror
03:10Of one another
03:11But it's my personal take
03:14On what Mark Camille was doing
03:17In terms of multidisciplinary attitudes
03:51With the
