00:30You're going to start going down the side of the mountain
00:31While you're trying to dodge through
00:34a literal graveyard of
00:36crashed airplanes that provide some amazing
00:38trick opportunities. We've got these massive
00:40gaps that even an SSX character
00:42can't span on their own, so they're
00:44going to need to use the wingsuit. Or you're going to be jumping
00:45over gaps literally the size of football
00:48fields.
00:49So Antarctica is home to some of the biggest
00:51maps in our game, just like in real life
00:54is one of the most barren environments
00:55in the world. So Antarctica looks
00:58like a really sunny, safe place
01:00but it's actually frozen,
01:02desolate, cold, windy. Going
01:03from sunlight into shade at certain
01:05times of the year the temperature can drop 40
01:07degrees centigrade in less than one second.
01:10So you're going to not only have to make your
01:12way down the mountain, you're going to have to do it staying
01:14in the sunlight and avoiding areas of
01:15shade so you don't freeze to death.
01:17You're going to drop into these ice caves and there's going to be mountaineering
01:20ladders that are going to be spanning the crevasses
01:22that you're going to be able to grind across.
01:23There's going to be jumps that are going to actually take you up
01:25out of the caves, out into the sunlight
01:27then drop you back down into the caves again.
01:30You're going to be exploring a massive
01:32world of just some of the most interesting
01:33and cool topography in the game.
01:35So next we come to New Zealand, one of
01:37the most beautiful natural environments
01:39in the world. We decided to build a high
01:41altitude lake that starts at the summit of our feature
01:43peak and literally creates a river that
01:45runs all the way down the mountain.
01:47And then in contrast to that beautiful environment
01:49we created probably the largest set piece
01:52in our game. This massive concrete dam spillway
01:55that sits right at the center of the mountain.
01:58And you can either go into the dam
01:59and ride down through the pipes or you can
02:01gap right over the top where you're going to get another huge
02:03view of the area. And so finally New Zealand
02:06is home to the deadly descent
02:08of Whiteout. One of the most difficult
02:10challenges in the game where you're going to have to try to
02:12navigate your way down the mountain where you literally
02:14can't see two feet in front of you
02:16and you're going to need some special technology
02:18courtesy of SSX to help you get to the bottom.
