00:00Hi, I'm Crystal. I'm Colleen. And we're at Duke Nukem.
00:40How's it going? I'm Randy. I'm from Gearbox. Wow, thanks. You guys are from all over.
00:45This is awesome. And now we're here together in Vegas. I recognized some of you guys when
00:49we were on tour around the world. Man, what a ride it's been. I know it's been a long
00:55time in the coming of the Duke, but we're almost there, guys. We're almost there. And it's
01:02a great day today because I know that some of you may have had the opportunity to sample
01:07the short demo that we brought with us to the Penny Arcade Expo when we first revealed that
01:13Duke Nukem was back. Today, you're going to get a much larger taste of the game. So there's
01:19still some things that we're going to add to this to the fix, but that's where we are with
01:22the game. So it's a very honest representation of Duke Nukem Pro that you're going to play
01:28today. You're going to start at the beginning, and you're going to go through to your first
01:31classical. All right, thank you so much.
02:18All right, thank you so much.
02:23I've been sat here laughing quite a bit, primarily because I've been able to draw two
02:29penises already. Probably walking around all the places, just admiring yourself in the
02:34mirror, and it gives you stat bonuses, or eating doughnuts, or just helping out random people
02:39walking around the place. Like there's some guy being a wanker, and you get to punch him
02:43in the face, which is kind of cool. First impression's very good. Seems to be a sort of strange blend
02:48of kind of obviously massively modernizing the franchise, while still feeling very authentic
02:52to the old school play style of Duke 3D. Obviously the puzzles are still there, the environmental
02:57interaction is still there.
02:59It's quite interesting that a lot of the cultural references in it are kind of from
03:03its era. So things like Starship Troopers from, I guess, 97. There was a joke about key cards,
03:09which I guess was sort of directed at its kind of competition of the day. So it's interesting
03:14to see that it's not been sort of willfully brought up to date like that. A lot of it
03:18clearly is from when it was originally from.
03:21It's really, really good. I mean, it gives you a real sense that you're a badass right
03:24from the beginning, you know, just not just with the sort of one liners that he's known
03:28for, but with a lot of the stuff like you get an ego measurement for punching an aliens,
03:32a picture of an alien in the face, and, you know, curling weights, even though your whole
03:37base is being attacked by aliens. So, you know, it just right from the very beginning,
03:42it really gives you a sense that you are a badass, you know, your ego is through the roof,
03:46you save the world so you can do what the hell you like, and nothing really matters but
03:50you.
04:30Here's Duke, this, this, you know, he kicks ass, you know, and, um, and sent the aliens
04:36running and saved the earth. It's like, yes, he's got Duke's building. And yes, he's got
04:46the perfect environment for that.
05:05This is taking forever. Time to stop pissing around and get this big guy back into action.
05:27Whoa, that water's cold.
05:29That water's cold.
05:29That water's cold.
05:29That water's cold.
