00:14Oh, so we're here to talk about this new game called Ace Patrol. So what is Ace Patrol?
00:20Ace Patrol puts you in the role of a squadron commander. You get to fly the airplanes,
00:24but you also get to decide who's going to fly which airplane, which missions you're going to
00:28take, which pilots you're going to send on various missions. So there's a turn-based flight element
00:33to it. There's a strategic element in terms of upgrading your planes, learning new maneuvers.
00:39It's a game you can play for a short amount of time if you want to, or if you've got
00:43a whole
00:43evening, you can go through the entire campaign, the entire war, and win it for your side.
00:48Tell me about the different planes.
00:51One of the cool things about the World War I era is the variety of airplanes. You've got the Red
00:57Baron,
00:57which is a bright red triplane. It was also an era where they were just experimenting with design.
01:03There's some planes have two wings, some planes have three wings, some planes have the propeller
01:06in the front, some planes have the propeller in the back. So there's all this incredible variety
01:11of different kinds of planes. You can customize them to look the way that you want to. We have
01:15different skins you can add to them. You can decide what color you want them to be. So the planes
01:20are a very integral and interesting part of the game, and they kind of bring the era to life
01:25with some things that were very unique to that era.
01:28Any favorite planes of yours?
01:30I like the early, the first plane you fly is the British DH-2. It has the propeller in the
01:35back,
01:36and it just is so representative of that era where they were experimenting with different things.
01:41How difficult of a game is it? Is it anyone you just kind of hop on and play, or is
01:45it something
01:45you really have to get used to over time?
01:49It's a game you can just jump into and play. We have a little tutorial, a couple of easy missions
01:53at the beginning that you kind of get your feet wet and figure out how planes work, how to do
01:57maneuvers and things like that. The game is turn-based, so you can play at your own pace. If you
02:01want to
02:02take your time and think things through, you can do that. It's a game that's easy to get into and
02:06play,
02:07but there are a lot of strategy elements, again, as you get kind of more deeply into the game,
02:11especially the way planes interact with terrain. There's clouds that you can hide in,
02:16and there's anti-aircraft guns that you have to avoid. There's a lot of cool strategy in there,
