00:44One of the things that's exciting about this whole endeavor, it's really clear to us that there's a lot of
00:50folks out there, both fans and people that created the original games that probably love it even more than we
00:57do.
01:01Gearbox making an RTS is really interesting because a lot of people don't think, you know, Gearbox RTS, they think
01:07Gearbox first-person shooter or something.
01:10The thing is, we're such fans of so many different genres of games that, you know, being able to get
01:15in there and make something like that, that's something that we love playing, you know, this gives us the opportunity
01:20to actually go into the RTS world and do that.
01:22Once the word came down that THQ was going to be selling off its property and that Homeworld was amongst
01:29that, Brian just lit up.
01:31It's really exciting to be able to not only bring these games back to the forefront, but to make them
01:38better.
01:38Blackbird's led by Rob Cunningham, who is the art director on the Homeworld projects, an incredible creative genius.
01:46He's responsible for the look and feel and nature of this universe.
01:51His passion is bone deep about the product.
01:55Sitting alongside him at Blackbird and seeing how he approaches creative problems and then getting to see the spark in
02:02the eyes of the artists and the designers here at Gearbox was just fantastic because Homeworld is, it just breathes
02:09through him.
02:09But it was really when I met Randy Pitchford and Brian Martell and between the two of them, leading Gearbox
02:16and rebuilding the Homeworld franchise, I have just tremendous hope and enthusiasm for what's happening.
