00:00That is Greg Bedard, Boston Sports Journal, talking about Mike Vrabel.
00:03Would it surprise you if Mike Vrabel had a blind spot for A.J. Brown?
00:09I mean, I almost took out a person last week because I had a blind spot in my car.
00:14If Mike really had a blind spot for him, and it's like all this or this is it or nothing,
00:20he would have him already.
00:22Because you take a four-win team, a back-to-back four-win team to the Super Bowl,
00:27even though you lost, it empowers you a little bit to allow you to go do what you want to
00:30do.
00:31So you're saying it would surprise you to learn that he has a blind spot?
00:32Yeah, I'm good.
00:33It would not surprise me even a little bit that he has a blind spot for this player.
00:38No, I actually think it's a great point by Bedard,
00:40and I think he has plenty of evidence to back it up.
00:42He's got a blind spot for all the guys that he had in Tennessee.
00:46He's a little too in love with the guys who have already played for him.
00:50What's for your argument is the Landry signing and the keeping of the guy
00:53and the type of money where you really can't get rid of him.
00:56Or Bayard, who just came in this offseason.
00:58Yeah, Bayard's an all-pro, though.
01:00Like, Bayard's an all-pro.
01:01I don't look at that as high-risk.
01:02It's one year, and you've got a guy that's healthy.
01:05Like, everybody keeps talking about the knee.
01:06Burt was in it for an hour again with the morning guys,
01:08saying about the knees, both knees.
01:10And then Greg used the word rehab, the guy.
01:12Like, if he could rehab him, why do you need to rehab him?
01:16That's A.J. Brown.
01:18If he loves him, go get him.
01:19I think if he had a blind spot for him, he'd already be here.
01:21All right, how about Mike Brown, who he signed a week ago?
01:24Okay, there you go.
01:25Former Titan.
01:27He loves the guys who played for him in Tennessee.
01:30Parcells did, too.
01:31Yeah.
01:31Got us to the Super Bowl.
01:32Yeah.
01:33I think there's a thing with some coaches.
01:35It doesn't work.
01:36Belichick did it when he got here in 2001.
01:38Yeah, absolutely.
01:39He had to have all those guys.
01:42You know, had to make sure he brought back Otis Smith.
01:45Yeah.
01:45Had to do that.
01:46Brian Cox.
01:47Yes.
01:47And that worked out, right?
01:50Yes.
01:50No doubt about it.
01:51It worked out.
01:51So I'm not saying it doesn't work out.
01:52I'm just saying that there are coaches that are a little too in love with their former
01:56players.
01:57And it's fine if they're good players.
01:59Yes.
01:59I think I know this.
02:00Landry was not a good player for the Patriots last year because of injury.
02:03It just didn't work out.
02:04Yeah.
02:05That's Saints game.
02:05Yeah.
02:06He fell apart.
02:06Yeah.
02:07He broke down.
02:08And so the same thing you say, oh, a knee fell apart.
02:10The same thing could be true with A.J.
02:12Brown.
02:13Good.
02:13Sure.
02:13Where you're willing to overlook the obvious risks because you're a little too in love with
02:20the player.
02:21Now, I don't mind that he's a little too in love with A.J.
02:23Brown because I think they should go get him.
02:24I do too.
02:24And I think it makes you better.
02:25I think the Kill Harry team picks are going to have fans.
02:28Even if you don't, even if you go and you get A.J.
02:30Brown, if you get A.J.
02:31Brown and say it doesn't look great.
02:35You wouldn't be that upset that you didn't use 31 on.
02:37Well, the Kill Harry.
