AI can be used to commit crime but it could also help prevent it. That's according to international AI experts, criminal justice scholars and industry leaders assembled for a forum hosted by Taipei's Ming Chuan University.

00:28the US, Australia and Taiwan.
00:31They said that AI helps predict crime hotspots and speed up investigations, especially into
00:36crimes like fraud.
00:37But they also warned that AI is being used to commit more complex cybercrimes using deepfakes
00:43and automated bots for wider reach.
00:45With financial fraud rampant in Taiwan, experts at the forum said banks, tech services, government
00:51and civil society need to work together to keep on top of this fast-changing technology.
