00:089-1-1, where's your emergency?
00:11In Beachwood, Ohio.
00:13What's going on there?
00:15I just got home from vacation with my family.
00:19And I didn't have a key to come in the house.
00:22And I see that my husband's cars are here.
00:24I was knocking on the door trying to get in.
00:31Have you been in the house yet?
00:34I can't get in, no, no, sir.
00:36Okay, so you think your husband's in the house?
00:44I'm assuming that he is because we have three cars off.
00:47Three cars in here.
00:54Okay, I'm going to start the ambulance and the police
00:59over to your address, all right?
01:14Hi.
01:15What's going on?
01:17Hey, she came home from vacation and can't get in.
01:20Her husband's on the outside door.
01:21It looks like some bullet holes or some kind of holes in the back window.
01:24Okay.
01:24Just like, I don't know, broken glass and stuff.
01:26Ma'am, where did you go?
01:28Well, I went to London.
01:29My husband and I were supposed to go to London with my sister and brother-in-law.
01:33They're at all the sedes.
01:35So my husband got in and we flew to Newark.
01:39And he got sick.
01:40He didn't go.
01:40He's sick.
01:41And then...
01:42What kind of sick did he get?
01:43Brady.
01:45The head.
01:46Oh, like a migraine?
01:47Yeah.
01:48Okay.
01:48And then he stayed at his daughter's for a couple of days and I've been texting him
01:55and calling him for the last couple of days and nothing, nothing.
01:59Okay.
02:00And then dropped off my sister and brother-in-law.
02:04When was the last time you talked to him?
02:06A couple days ago?
02:09Okay.
02:09He says there's red holes in the back of the house.
02:11I don't know if there's red holes.
02:12They're just round holes.
02:13Okay.
02:13They're broken glass in the backyard.
02:14In the back of the house.
02:15Yeah, can you go this way?
02:15Okay, what do you mean that you can't get in, though?
02:19Do you not have a key?
02:20I don't have a key, you know, because he took the key with him and the smartphone.
02:25Okay.
02:26Three, three, seven, I have two plates.
02:28Is this front one his car?
02:30They're all his car, yeah.
02:32Okay.
02:37Does he have any mental health history that you know?
02:40Has he ever tried to commit suicide before?
02:43No.
02:43No?
02:44Okay.
02:44No.
02:47Okay.
02:48His brother lives two streets away.
02:50Okay.
02:51It's the only.
02:52Have you tried to call his brother to see if he's there?
02:55Would he walk over there?
02:56They don't talk.
02:57Okay.
02:59So, you can walk around on your side.
03:02Four, nine, two minutes.
03:03Pass the pass.
03:04I'm going to go.
03:11I'm below that window.
03:13Oh.
03:18I'm going to open the window.
03:23What do we have?
03:24We don't know yet, John.
03:30Do they look like bullet holes, Bri?
03:32Could be.
03:33I don't know.
03:34See how the hole is high up in the screen in this window?
03:40No.
03:43I don't know.
03:43I don't know.
03:53I don't know.
03:55I don't know the full story about what's going on.
03:58Who's out front?
04:00Away from the neighbors.
04:02They're going to have a key, right?
04:03Does somebody have a key or no?
04:04No, she doesn't have a key.
04:06They were traveling together.
04:08He came back early because he had a migraine.
04:10When?
04:11When?
04:11When?
04:11She hasn't talked to him for two days.
04:13He was supposed to be staying with their daughter.
04:17Did you try these doors?
04:19No.
04:20That one's locked.
04:24When was the last time you talked to your daughter?
04:27Your daughter?
04:28He was staying with your daughter?
04:30He was staying with his daughter.
04:32His daughter.
04:32When was?
04:33Did you talk to her?
04:34No, no.
04:35I haven't.
04:36I don't have a phone on me.
04:38I can call.
04:38Where does she live?
04:39New Jersey.
04:41Stuart, you yourself.
04:42How did he get to New Jersey?
04:44Did he take.
04:44We flew.
04:45He flew there?
04:46To New Jersey.
04:47He drove back.
04:47He was here.
04:51Is there a garage door opener in one of these cars?
04:56Has there been anything different about him other than the migraine?
05:01Yeah.
05:02He's been real.
05:03I can get in the car.
05:06He's been real lately.
05:08I don't know.
05:09He's.
05:10Just different?
05:11Unhappy.
05:12Okay.
05:16Does he own any firearms that you know of?
05:19No.
05:20No?
05:20No.
05:24Are all of your cars here?
05:26Mm-hmm.
05:27Okay.
05:27Would he be expecting you to come home right now?
05:30And he should be home right now.
05:32Mm-hmm.
05:41Nope.
05:48Okay.
05:49We obviously got the garage door open, but the inside door is locked.
05:52We're just going to force that open and go take a look, okay?
05:55All right.
06:02Sergeant, are you going to stay here?
06:03Yeah.
06:04We're going to shut the garage door and then go in.
06:12Is there a button right there next to the door?
06:14It looks like it.
06:33Somebody got a flashlight with him?
06:35Yeah.
06:37There we go.
06:49I'm going left here for a moment.
06:51Please go left here.
06:56Police department.
06:57Good over here.
06:59Hello, police department.
07:00Anybody here?
07:06Good facing, John.
07:08Okay.
07:11Ready?
07:11Mm-hmm.
07:16Okay.
07:28Okay.
07:52See anything with the windows over there, or no?
08:01Not seeing anything here.
08:03Okay.
08:07Going left.
08:11Okay.
08:25Use us, use us.
08:33Hmm.
08:39Yeah.
08:41All right.
08:42Let's go.
08:43All right?
08:44Yeah.
08:45Let's go upstairs.
08:49Police department.
08:50Anybody here?
08:52Huh?
08:58He's down.
08:59Just in the squad.
09:03Let's clear everything out here real quick, guys, just to make sure.
09:09All right.
09:10All right.
09:13All right.
09:16The squad's gonna come down right now.
09:18Why is he in there?
09:19They're calling for the squad, so that would mean that he would be in there.
09:22No.
09:22No.
09:23No.
09:24No, no, no.
09:26No, no, no, no.
09:28Oh, no.
09:29Oh, no, Richard.
09:29Oh, no, Richard.
09:32Let's take a look.
09:36So we got an obvious entry ruined in the back?
09:39Definitely ruined in the back of my head.
09:42Look, the spatter goes that way.
09:43We got spatter.
09:44Spatter that way.
09:46Holes going through the ground.
09:48You can see the holes coming out of the ceiling in the kitchen going out that window.
09:51Okay.
09:52So we have holes downstairs, and we have stuff up here.
09:55Holes in the ceiling.
09:58That's a rifle round.
09:59That's what he's all waiting for.
10:01Mm-hmm.
10:02That's what he's all waiting for.
10:03That's what I'm looking for.
10:05Rifle round.
10:09Yeah, I don't see it.
10:12Signal back to the engine right here.
10:16There's three more rifle rounds right here.
10:22All right, let's not do a lot.
10:23We might be getting BCI here.
10:25Yeah.
10:25Let's go ahead and...
10:26These doors are all kicked in.
10:32This door's kicked in.
10:34This door's kicked in.
10:37There's a shell there.
10:42We need all these bullets going.
10:46Same goods.
10:49Hi.
10:50No idea.
10:52Let me breathe the squad, and let's go from there.
11:05He's upstairs.
11:06Uh...
11:07It occurs to be an obvious gunshot wound to the head.
11:09We get casings all over the place.
11:11We're still trying to figure out what's going on.
11:12We haven't found any weapons.
11:14So we're locked.
11:16We can't find any guns in the privacy.
11:19I mean, it's obvious if you guys need to come up and, uh...
11:22We don't need to if it's obvious.
11:24So, um...
11:25I mean, you can let them know he is deceased,
11:26and at this point we're investigating.
11:29Okay.
11:45Pam, I'm very sorry your husband has passed away.
11:49No.
11:50He's passed.
11:51No.
11:52Why?
11:54No, Richard.
11:55Why?
11:57Why?
12:00No.
12:00No.
12:01No!
12:02No!
12:03I'll just let you guys know if you're going to be her support system.
12:06The house is a crime scene, so we're going to treat it like that.
12:09We're not going to be able to let anybody in or out for quite some time.
12:12What a day.
12:13Oh, no!
12:14What a day!
12:15We're going to see if we can secure the dogs.
12:17Is there anybody that could take the three dogs out of the house for us right now?
12:20Yeah.
12:21Can you find a leash in there for them?
12:22Yes.
12:23Are your dogs okay on a leash?
12:25No.
12:25We're just at the 10.
12:26I don't feel good.
12:27I don't feel good.
12:28Okay.
12:28I don't feel bad, I think.
12:30Squad guys, can you come help the wife, please?
12:51Did we ever find a weapon or no?
12:54No, we haven't.
12:56You know what's going on here?
12:57You got a dead guy.
12:59Uh-huh.
12:59You got a bullet on the back of his head.
13:02There's rifle casings all over the house.
13:04Hold him in the back of the house.
13:05All over the house.
13:07I mean, unless...
13:08Well, I mean, unless he made the gun disappear.
13:11I mean, because they didn't...
13:12They haven't gone fine combed tooth through here or not, but...
13:18I mean, it doesn't look like it's a suicide.
13:21So...
13:22But again, you know, they didn't look super hard, but...
13:24There might not be a rifle in there, which would definitely tell you there's somebody else here.
13:29It's my family.
13:30Okay.
13:32Family coming here?
13:33What?
13:34Stay here.
13:35Who are you related to?
13:37Rich.
13:38Richard?
13:38Okay.
13:39Who are you to him?
13:42I'm his brother's brother-in-law.
13:44I'm very closer than I was just here with him for three hours.
13:47Today?
13:48Yesterday?
13:48Two days ago.
13:50Lieutenant?
13:51Yes.
13:51The family member.
13:52Hi.
13:52Can you give me just a moment, and I'll be right with you.
13:54What happens?
13:54Is he allowed?
13:56He has passed, and that's what we're looking into.
13:59Okay.
14:00So...
14:01That's the most I can tell you right now.
14:03And if we're in such a situation like this, we can't...
14:06Okay, okay.
14:07It's okay.
14:08It's okay.
14:08We have to look further into it.
14:10We can't...
14:12There's nothing that we're going to be able to tell you right now.
14:14Is his wife in there with you?
14:15No.
14:16She went to the hospital.
14:20Right now.
14:20Is your gun involved?
14:22There's nothing that I'm going to be able to tell you right now.
14:28Come over here in this port tonight.
14:29Okay, okay.
14:30I'm not...
14:30I'm okay.
14:31I'm okay.
14:31I'm okay.
14:32I...
14:32I...
14:32I understand.
14:34I understand this is hard for you.
14:35It's harder for me.
14:37You don't know why.
14:38I just was with him.
14:39I was just with...
14:40Two days ago.
14:45I'm gonna call his brother.
14:47I'm gonna need to do.
14:49Why don't you give me your information so I can contact you if I need to?
14:54I don't know what happened.
14:56I just want people to tell him to do this.
14:57And we have a task that speaks to this.
15:00This guy right here in the purple shirt.
15:02Mm-hmm.
15:02Possibly the last guy I've seen him alive.
15:04Okay.
15:04I don't know where he lives.
15:05I've got his name.
15:06This guy?
15:06Is that his brother?
15:07It's his brother.
15:08This is his brother in his black shirt.
15:10And the purple shirt is his mother-in-law.
15:13Okay.
15:14And he went and saw him on Tuesday.
15:17Okay.
15:18You need my...
15:19I mean, in terms of...
15:22Do I have to do anything?
15:23Do you say, will his wife take care of it?
15:25Or do I have to?
15:26No.
15:27I mean, in terms of...
15:28I don't know what it would do.
15:30It's his immediate family would be.
15:31She went to the hospital because she was upset.
15:33But by all means, let's get your information.
15:35If we need to contact you or...
15:38You know what?
15:40So, what is your last name, sir?
15:41Stanley Ford.
15:42W-A-R-N.
15:43This is his only.
15:45That's my family.
15:45Are you doing the initial, sir?
15:47No.
15:47Which birthday?
15:4977.
15:51Okay.
15:56And you're the brother-in-law?
15:58No.
15:59I am Stanley's brother-in-law.
16:01And I'm very close with her, too.
16:03Okay.
16:04So, I just want to let you know that there's a history of problems here.
16:09And he has talked to me about them to nobody else.
16:12Okay.
16:13I'm also Richard's lawyer.
16:14Mm-hmm.
16:15He's been asking me the last several weeks.
16:19I mean, periodically he's calling me.
16:21And again, I saw him for three and a half hours the other day with my kids.
16:24To change the trustee on his trust.
16:27Mm-hmm.
16:28But it's very unusual because it's been now over five or six years.
16:31And lately...
16:32Why would he want to change the trustee, with your opinion?
16:36Because his brother is the trustee and the trustee.
16:38Okay.
16:39The two of them, they weren't talking to each other.
16:41Mm-hmm.
16:42And Richard's bunkered himself in for the last year and a half.
16:45But did it look like anybody came in?
16:47It doesn't.
16:48I don't know.
16:49I don't know.
16:50Yeah.
16:50Right.
16:51Okay.
16:51And, you know, just being perfectly honest with you, if I did know, I couldn't tell you at this point.
16:56All right.
16:56Okay.
16:57So I...
16:57Like he said, it's suspicious.
16:59So we just want to make sure we're doing everything right.
17:01And we don't want anything to slip through the cracks.
17:03I want to tell you something.
17:04I've known Richard since 1979.
17:08There was a lot of those things.
17:09He went through his divorce a few years ago.
17:13He lost it.
17:14Completely.
17:15The kids...
17:15The kids are estranged and completely stirred up from him.
17:19His parents disowned him.
17:21His wife's not calling him.
17:23How long has he been remarried?
17:25Five, six, seven years.
17:27And she's not Jewish.
17:28And she converted.
17:29And it was a big problem.
17:32I saw him the other day.
17:34His wife was in London.
17:36And he couldn't make it to London.
17:38And his wife went over there and didn't contact him for about 10 days.
17:43And he was distraught over that.
17:45He was distraught over the fact that she was not.
17:48He would get a text or something, but that was it.
17:50And he said that to me about five times while we were sitting there.
17:53Right.
17:54And I was supposed to go out with him.
17:56So, I just wanted to tell you this.
17:59I have more insight to him than his brother.
18:01I would imagine one of our detectives may call you any day or two.
18:05You can call me anytime you want.
18:06You can call me anytime you want.
18:16I have a...
18:18I'll talk to him by myself.
18:20Okay.
18:23This is Detective Traub.
18:25This is an interview with Howard Lawton.
18:28I heard from one of the other officers that you have had some recent conversations with him.
18:32Is that correct?
18:33That is correct.
18:35He started calling me in July.
18:36I hadn't talked to him in a year maybe.
18:38Okay.
18:38Do you know what had all of a sudden triggered him wanting to reach out to you in July?
18:45It has to do with a family issue and it's a huge problem.
18:55Police say 59-year-old Dr. Richard Warren was at his Beechwood home after cutting short
19:01a planned overseas vacation due to motion sickness.
19:04His wife Jane returning from the trip Thursday to find the house locked with no answer.
19:09Police discovered the podiatrist's body upstairs with at least five gunshot wounds.
19:19Okay.
19:19Going back to what we were discussing before about these conversations that you had with
19:24him.
19:27Richard was very upset about his relationship with his brother.
19:31How so?
19:32His father and his mother lived with his brother.
19:35Okay.
19:36And Richard hasn't seen them in a year.
19:37And my brother and sister-in-law are taking care of them.
19:40And something between them happened about a year and a half ago.
19:43I don't know what it is.
19:45Okay.
19:45But clearly I think you can imagine that it had something to do with Richard's not being
19:52there for them.
19:53Had he changed his will or anything like that?
19:56He wanted his wife substituted in.
19:59Okay.
19:59So he wanted his wife in.
20:01I won't go into detail but yes, something to that nature.
20:05Okay.
20:05Anything else that I should be aware of?
20:08Richard has been in a very bad place for a very long time and this is not a secret.
20:16He was a family member.
20:19He was just, he's just upset.
20:23Excuse me one second.
20:25Detective Finucane.
20:27According to wife, there are no weapons in the house.
20:32I'm thinking if there was a rifle underneath him, the position of his body, we'd be able
20:37to at least see it sticking out at one end.
20:39The rounds look like, they look like rifle rounds.
20:43There are a lot of shell casings and live rounds in this, in this house upstairs.
20:49When was he last seen allegedly by a neighbor?
20:52The neighbor saw him taking the garbage out Tuesday evening.
20:55What's your neighbor?
20:56He's wearing a white shirt with a yarmulke.
20:59What's your neighbor?
21:01A Wednesday morning, which was yesterday.
21:03It was Thursday.
21:04So we're looking at some time between 24 hours.
21:07Tuesday night.
21:08Was there any chance anybody else wheeled up garbage cans at home?
21:11Is he an old man?
21:12No, he's 59.
21:13No, none of the neighbors out front said that they did.
21:1759, 37.
21:1939.
21:22Parties are on their way.
21:24They've made arrangements with the hotels that come back for their property tomorrow.
21:28Hello.
21:29Hello.
21:30We're looking for information on seeing or hearing things sometime after Tuesday night.
21:35Tuesday night is Thursday.
21:37Thursday night, right.
21:37Yeah, because there was two days, that's what I told the other officer.
21:40I recognized that it was two days worth of the mail flyers.
21:43Is that what it looks like?
21:44Yeah.
21:44The garbage goes out Tuesday night.
21:47Right.
21:48And they pick it up Wednesday morning.
21:49Did you happen to see if his cans were out?
21:52Do you remember?
21:52No.
21:53The guy that lives in the house on the other side of them.
21:55He said he saw him out.
21:56He saw him putting out the garbage Tuesday night.
21:57He said he saw him out.
21:59I don't know if the cans went out.
22:00That's the thing.
22:01I don't know if anybody noticed the cans went out.
22:05You don't know anybody in the neighborhood who has any video security cameras on any part
22:08of their houses or anything like that?
22:09We don't.
22:10Okay.
22:11We're right across the street.
22:12I got you.
22:13So when you say it, when it happened, what is it?
22:16What happened?
22:16Apparently he got shot.
22:18Rich?
22:19He's dead.
22:20I can't confirm any information of an ongoing investigation.
22:24All they said was that he was dead and she couldn't go in the house.
22:28And somebody said something about Blanco.
22:29So maybe I'm making this up.
22:31I don't know.
22:31I hear you.
22:32Then stop making this up.
22:33If you think of anything, my name is Patrolman Spellman.
22:37Like the cow.
22:383 o'clock.
22:39Feel free to call me.
22:40Leave me a voicemail if you think or hear of anything.
22:43Hello ma'am.
22:45I'm Officer Gray.
22:45There was an incident over at...
22:47Yeah.
22:48So we're just trying to talk to the neighbors, see if anybody had heard anything the last
22:51few days or if you've seen...
22:52I just know he's my podiatrist and I was supposed to schedule an appointment and I was calling
22:57all day yesterday and his home father was busy.
22:59So I finally was off the hook.
23:01Have you seen him out at the house recently?
23:04No.
23:04The past couple days, couple weeks now.
23:06Hear anything strange yesterday, couple days, last night?
23:10No.
23:11Okay.
23:12All right ma'am.
23:13Well thank you for your help.
23:14I probably saw him in the past few years and waved to him.
23:17But I haven't spoken to him since.
23:19You don't recall exactly when or...
23:21Yeah, the timeline.
23:22I'll tell you something interesting.
23:24Very interesting.
23:26I don't know when this happened, but a few days ago, a rabbi lives in his backyard,
23:32like five in the morning.
23:34I saw him a few hours later.
23:35He says, did you hear?
23:36Oh yeah.
23:37At five o'clock my wife and I woke up, something sounded like a gunshot.
23:41Do you remember who told you that?
23:43Rabbi Chaiken lives in his backyard.
23:45Oh okay, the guy behind him?
23:46Yeah.
23:46Okay.
23:47But that's what he told you?
23:48Yeah.
23:49When did the rabbi...
23:51Do you remember what...
23:52Do you think you still have a tax?
23:53I texted my wife and said, do you hear something at five or a loud noise at five in the
23:57morning?
23:57Okay.
23:58I said, no.
23:58Why?
23:58I said, well, because...
24:00So maybe...
24:01You remember when he told you this because you texted your wife right after then?
24:04Yeah?
24:04I think it was two days ago because it was the night of that thunderstorm.
24:07I think that maybe it was lightning or something or thunder.
24:11It was Tuesday.
24:12Tuesday.
24:13Okay, so...
24:13He and his wife woke up at five a.m. from a loud noise.
24:16I didn't hear it.
24:16Did he hear a loud noise at five a.m.?
24:19Okay, so on Tuesday at seven o' two...
24:22At five a.m.
24:24So Tuesday morning at five a.m.
24:24So Tuesday morning at five a.m.
24:24So Tuesday morning at five a.m.
24:25Right, right, right, right.
24:26But he had talked to you that morning.
24:28You know, as I live so close by, he said, hey, at five o'clock in the morning, I heard
24:31a loud noise.
24:32I think he ate me.
24:33I don't remember what he said.
24:34A very loud noise.
24:35Right, right.
24:36That woke me and my wife up.
24:37Okay.
24:37And I said, no, I didn't hear anything.
24:40Would it be inappropriate if I asked to take a picture of the phone to the message?
24:43Sure.
24:44Here.
24:44Oh, it doesn't say the date.
24:45Oh, no.
24:46Okay.
24:46That would be perfect.
24:47Yeah, yeah, yeah.
25:04Jane, I'm going to have to ask you this.
25:06Do you know what happened to your husband today?
25:09No.
25:10To your knowledge, was anybody out to hurt him for any reason whatsoever that you were?
25:17He had problems with his sons.
25:20I'm not trying to say, you know.
25:22Yeah.
25:23But they threatened him.
25:25They threatened him?
25:26How did they threaten him?
25:27To chop him up.
25:28To chop up their own father?
25:44Beechwood police officers discovered the body of 59-year-old Richard Warren at his residence on Brett Wood Road.
25:51The victim died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.
25:55There was no forced entry to the home and the circumstances at the scene were not indicative of a random
26:01incident committed by a stranger.
26:03That scene was turned over to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation for evidence collection and investigation.
26:11Correct.
26:11I'm sure I speak for the entire Beechwood community when I say that our thoughts are with the Warren family
26:17and their friends after this tragic and senseless event.
26:26Richard's two sons, how do they threaten him?
26:29To chop him up.
26:31To chop up their own father?
26:33And they hid him.
26:34How long ago did they threaten him?
26:37About three years ago.
26:38And which one of the boys said it?
26:41Michael.
26:42Michelson.
26:42Michelson.
26:43I'm afraid of him.
26:45Why are you afraid of him?
26:48You don't know what he's thinking.
26:51They didn't like you dating their father.
26:54Okay, no.
26:54They wanted their father to him with everything and they didn't want to work and the latest thing that he
26:59told me that they told him was that you made me and so you have to take care of us.
27:07Okay.
27:08My husband, he bought a foreclosed house for Mark and Michael.
27:14Okay.
27:15So, he owns a house in South Beechwood and he has it for the two sons to live there.
27:20Okay.
27:22Oh, God.
27:24And, um, my husband is telling me that he probably goes, I'm going to write him a letter, Jane, and
27:31I'm going to tell him that at the end of the year they have to find a job.
27:35Okay.
27:36So, um, do you know, do they have any firearms or weapons, you know, guns?
27:42I don't know.
27:44Um, I do know that they have cameras all around the house.
27:51Cameras where?
27:52In the house on Elmwood.
27:53Oh, the boys have cameras on their house.
27:56And why is this?
27:57My husband never would really tell me anything because I think, you know, to save face and he knew I
28:07was afraid of them.
28:09Oh, God.
28:10I don't know what I need to do.
28:11I don't know.
28:12Oh, my husband's gone.
28:17Oh, my husband's gone.
28:47Danielle, is there anybody that you think would cause any harm to your father?
29:01Have they ever been in trouble with the law?
29:04Well, actually, there was one time they tried to break it to my father's house, so the cops didn't come.
29:11I don't know what happened.
29:12Okay.
29:13I'm just sort of shocked at trying to understand.
29:17Yeah. We're sorry for your loss here.
29:52I'm sorry, Dark Townsend.
29:54Defensive 4362, this is the police department. We have a search warrant. Come to the front door now.
30:08Go ahead and reach him.
30:10Reach him?
30:11Yep, go ahead.
30:11Occupants of 4362, this is the police department. We have a search warrant. Come to the front door now.
30:21Occupants of 4362, this is the police department. We have a search warrant. Come to the front door now.
30:28We have a search warrant. Check it out again and then hit that top portion.
30:31Yep.
30:35There you go it.
30:37Occupants of 4362, this is the police department. Come to the front door now.
30:43Impossible yelling inside.
31:00I don't even see where it's coming from.
31:02Straight ahead.
31:03Yeah, straight ahead.
31:04That's a .308.
31:04Are you okay?
31:05Yeah, I'm good.
31:06I'm good, guys.
31:07Gonna back out a little bit?
31:08Going back in.
31:14It's coming from the right front window.
31:16You know what, back up, because we're kind of exposed.
31:18OK.
31:19How far back do you want to go, guys?
31:20How far back do you guys go?
31:21Keep it right here.
31:22OK.
31:23I'm going to try to creep up, but I don't
31:24know about this window, guys.
31:26The rounds can go through here.
31:28It'll take a few.
31:30We're too exposed right there.
31:31OK.
31:33You guys got to get covered, man.
31:35We got covered.
31:36Go ahead.
31:37Go ahead.
31:40You're going to need whoever's working.
31:42You guys, we need to start clearing houses now.
31:45The wet bearcat took fire.
31:46It looks like a .308 to the front windshield.
31:48A couple rounds.
31:49Have them go in pairs.
31:51Go in pairs.
31:52Do not be seen.
31:5410-4.
31:55I got them responding up here to Green and Elmwood.
31:59All right.
31:59Copy.
32:17Can you guys go to your basements?
32:19OK.
32:20We got an issue.
32:22About four houses down on a soiree.
32:24And they're shooting at us.
32:25But if you guys can just go to your basement somewhere.
32:27All right, sir.
32:29Ma'am, just don't go that way.
32:32Just don't go that way.
32:33You're blocked that way.
32:35Might have to jump the curb or something.
32:41Can you go to your basement?
32:44Basement?
32:46OK.
32:47So we got 15, you know, 10 houses still on this side.
32:54Where's that house at?
32:55Right where that bearcat is on this side of the street, south side.
33:00I was telling your partner here, they popped about probably 10 rounds off at us.
33:05Beachwood had a homicide last night.
33:07So these are the sons of the deceased.
33:11So talk of neighbors first.
33:14Neighbors, like, they barely come out.
33:16They do what's at night.
33:17They're the kind of hermits.
33:19They got cameras all around the house.
33:21There's a silver impala that these guys have.
33:24So everyone was like, just watch out, you know, see that thing sneaking around or whatever.
33:4169-95 to 69-17.
33:4517, those are the two backup addresses to the house we're currently at.
33:50So use extreme caution.
33:54Make sure those houses are evacuated.
34:02Hello?
34:05Hello?
34:07Sir, we're going to need you to get everybody out of the house and clear off the street.
34:12Where are we going?
34:13Just grab the kids and come out with us.
34:15Get the kids and then come out.
34:17I'll put you in my car.
34:18Right here.
34:19Look at the bike.
34:19Get in this car right here.
34:21It's OK, honey.
34:23Everything's going to be all right.
34:24We're going to take you to the police station.
34:26It's the safest place in the world.
34:27Let's go, Sasha.
34:28Come on.
34:30Everybody in?
34:32OK, good, good.
34:33Oh, I've never had this kind of feeling before.
34:37Alright.
34:39Your children have been contacted.
34:42Sound four, thank you.
34:44Alright.
34:45We'll get you out of here.
34:48Copy, Pastor, copy.
34:51Go ahead.
34:51If you're making contact with the residents, let them know the power may be shut off to
34:56the street.
34:57If there's any elderly residents, they may want to relocate the city hall for the time
35:01being.
35:0310-4.
35:12OK, we're going to try to pop that side door, the better green light here.
35:18All right.
35:21Ready to move forward, guys?
35:23Yeah.
35:24Yes.
35:24All right.
35:25Move it.
35:25We're ready.
35:26Got to have somebody watching.
35:28There's a window up top.
35:37Yeah.
35:53There's a railing to the right and a railing to the left.
35:56I'm going to pull up a little more so we can kind of see into that kitchen, alright?
36:07Good?
36:08Yeah.
36:09Got a camera in the garage, too.
36:12Maybe they got a tunnel to the garage and they got the camera and they're watching us.
36:17Yeah.
36:26Well, there is a South Euclid neighborhood that is still under evacuation as a SWAT situation
36:32continues.
36:33So it's all in connection to the death of a Beechwood doctor, the first murder in the
36:37city since 1994.
36:39This is happening on Elmwood Road between South Green Road and Belvoir Boulevard where police
36:44have been for several hours.
36:46There's a camera pointing up the steps.
36:50Captain.
36:52Ma'am?
36:54You can't be over here.
37:00Where do you live?
37:02Where do you live?
37:03I'm sorry.
37:04I saw a place and I'm just curious.
37:06Yeah, no.
37:07No.
37:07I'm just curious.
37:08There's a guy with a rifle that was shooting at us earlier and he's in a house so those bullets
37:15can go anywhere.
37:17So you got.
37:18Down the street?
37:19Yeah, you got seven different police departments here with SWAT teams and everything waiting
37:24to go in.
37:26So.
37:27That part is going in.
37:29Yeah.
37:32Hey guys.
37:33I'm happy to take care of the trichamper in the basement as well as the 40mm in the
37:39bath area for some water.
37:43So we're going to go up to that door.
37:45Okay.
37:45Just like we had like last time.
37:47Yep.
37:48Ryan and I are going to step out.
37:50It's causing two trichakes out there.
37:51Okay.
37:52I think I can step out.
37:54We can just.
37:54You can swing your arm out?
37:55Yeah, we can swing it.
37:57Alright.
37:57Ready to move?
37:59Yep.
37:59Moving.
38:00Moving.
38:00Moving back.
38:24Back them up.
38:26Back up.
38:31There's smoke coming out.
38:34Yep.
38:35We can kind of get it here, too.
38:40We're not airtight.
38:48Gotta be up to ferret.
38:50Gotta be.
38:51All we did was a couple of ferret rounds.
38:53That's not going to do it.
38:58All right, let's do some ferret, guys.
39:00So we're going to move out.
39:02Take the back out.
39:04All right.
39:08You got to take our placer to the front.
39:19Close the bar.
39:20Maybe scoop that out.
39:22Well, it's smoke.
39:26Open up the kitchen a little bit.
39:30No.
39:32See anything in there?
39:33No.
39:36Stop there.
39:37No.
39:46No.
41:57And today we remember with tremendous love Richard, who was simply the best.
42:02He was a gutta neshamma, a kind and generous man.
42:07He was our Rick, the kind of person we all strive to be.
42:12Dr. Richard H. Warren leaves an incredible legacy, following a stellar career tragically cut short.
42:20There are no real words to explain this tragedy, and yet we can truly say Richard was an incredible, loving
42:27father, a devoted physician, a loving husband, son, and brother.
42:34Tati, I will love you every day for the rest of my life, and I know that you will be
42:39watching over me.
42:42You had so much love to give, and you were taken from this world much too soon.
