00:06We're making a miniseries about Michonne
00:07because, first off, she's a fan favorite.
00:10She is one of the most interesting characters
00:12in the Walking Dead universe.
00:15You get to see one of your absolute favorite characters
00:18from The Walking Dead go on a journey
00:20without a lot of the other characters you're used to seeing her with.
00:23Answering some of the questions about the character
00:25that people might not know about.
00:32Our series is set at the time in the comic series
00:34when Michonne had given up her katana and has left Alexandria.
00:37And kind of goes on a walkabout to try and clear her head
00:40and try and rid herself of her demons.
00:43I thought I was done with them.
00:45But they're not done with me.
00:47Before the apocalypse started,
00:50she abandoned her husband and her two young daughters
00:53to help pursue her career.
00:55She hears them talking to her, she keeps seeing them.
00:57And our game is about coming to terms with that pain
01:00and finding a reason to keep going.
01:04But she's still Michonne.
01:06She still has all the sword-wheeling skills.
01:08So Michonne's a little different than Lee or Clementine
01:10because she's fundamentally a different character.
01:13She didn't have to learn how to fight walkers.
01:15She's coming into this as an expert walker slayer.
01:22It's not only walkers that Michonne's going to have to deal with.
01:24She's also got to deal with the living.
01:26And sometimes the living can be much more dangerous than the walkers.
01:29You've got the people of Monroe.
01:31They consider Chesapeake Bay to be their personal territory.
01:35My sister, Norma, she's the one in charge here.
01:38Monroe is kind of a character unto itself.
01:39It's got its own value system and its own justice system
01:43that you're thrust into.
01:47Aim that at me.
01:48I dare you.
01:49Most people know her as a badass,
01:51but this is the first time that we've really gone deep
01:53with one of Robert's characters.
01:55Robert, just the other day, we found out some information about Michonne
01:58that nobody knows that is going into the game.
02:00They're really supportive of what we're doing.
02:02We know where Michonne is going to be in the comics going forward.
02:06And that's a really good thing for Telltale
02:08because we can make the storytelling customized to you.
02:12So we can get everybody back to that place
02:14where Michonne can step back into the comic book world,
02:16but you still feel like you've crafted her perspective on the world.
