00:00If you start with the assumption that there could be mines in the Strait of Hormuz and you need to
00:04make sure that there aren't or you need to clear them, how long is that process likely to take?
00:09Oh, I mean, it depends on how many mines there are and the area of sea that they want to
00:17make sure is completely clear, right?
00:19Like you send out these uncrewed vehicles and they cruise around for, say, eight hours and map all their contact.
00:26Then they have to return to the ship. Then you have to process it all out, figure out what the
00:30data is telling you, and then you have to actually go disable the mine.
00:33So, I mean, certainly days, maybe many days, maybe weeks.
00:39You know, it really depends on how heavily mined it is, how big of an area they want to make
00:45sure is safe and what kind of opposition they face.
00:49If this is a mine-clearing operation that's going to take place while Iran is launching missiles from the shore,
00:58it will take a very long time.
