00:16Today I'm very proud to give you a first glimpse of our upcoming game.
00:21Shadow Tactics is a tactical stealth game set in Japan around the Edo period.
00:26In the service of the Shogun, you play up to five highly trained assassins to fight the conspiracy that is
00:33threatening peace in Japan.
00:35We will tell you more about the overall setting and the unique stories behind our character soon, but for now,
00:41let's have a look at actual gameplay.
00:45Let's start with Hayato, a highly trained ninja who loves working silently from the shadows.
00:51In this game, stealth is key to success. Therefore, remaining undetected is vital.
00:57Once you've found a good spot to hide, you should observe the enemy's behavior.
01:02By clicking on the enemy, you can check out the field of vision.
01:07Try to avoid the bright area at any cost and only crawl through the dark areas.
01:13Bushes are also your friends if you don't want to be seen.
01:17One of Hayato's skills is the Shuriken, the perfect tool to take out enemies from a distance.
01:22But you shouldn't kill somebody while he is in the middle of a conversation.
01:32Now let's kill the other guy before he sees his dead companion.
01:43And don't forget to pick up your Shuriken and clean up the mess you made.
01:57Let's have a look at another character in this mission.
02:00Say hello to our youngest team member Yuki, a self-taught killer from the streets with some, well, let's say
02:06mental issues.
02:09She can manipulate the environment to her advantage.
02:13We could use her to push this loose rock and smash the patrol.
02:18But let's try something more advanced.
02:21With a self-made bird flute, Yuki can lure multiple enemies to one precise spot.
02:29What was that?
02:34Now we just have to wait for the right moment to strike.
02:43But she does not depend on some loose rocks to kill her opponents.
02:47Another cool skill of Yuki is her deadly trap, which she can place anywhere she wants.
02:57Setting up a trap and then using the flute is always a good combo if you want to kill an
03:02enemy without even touching him.
03:14Most of the time you will control multiple characters simultaneously.
03:19In this last scene for today, we want to show you a very cool feature, which allows you to maximize
03:24the power of your team.
03:27Welcome to Shadow Mode.
03:29While this feature is active, you can set up one action for each character.
03:33This enables you to synchronize the individual powers of your team members to take out multiple enemies at once.
03:42By hitting the execute button, all characters will perform their actions at the same time.
03:51But even Shadow Mode cannot save you if an enemy witnesses your killings.
03:57Yet, if you manage to escape in time, leaving behind a dead body is never a good idea.
04:04If the enemy finds a corpse, he will alert other guards and even call in reinforcements.
04:10You can now stay hidden till things calm down, use the confusion to your advantage or even try to fight
04:16your way out.
04:17The choice is yours.
