00:00Hello, Miriam at the Bureau with your national weather forecast for tomorrow, Thursday 19th
00:05March. Taking a look at tomorrow's weather map, we can see Tropical Cyclone Norell sitting out
00:10over the Coral Sea, making its westwards track towards far northern Queensland. That means from
00:17tomorrow we're likely to see those tropical cyclone impacts increasing. Heavy rainfall and
00:22potential flash flooding, strong winds, damaging wind gusts and elevated seas all possible.
00:27For more information around Tropical Cyclone Norell, check out our dedicated severe weather
00:32update video. Elsewhere across Australia tomorrow we've got showers and storms continuing through
00:37parts of the north and the east, mainly focused on New South Wales. More settled further south
00:44across those southern states, with hot weather for the far southwest. Let's take a state-by-state
00:49look at tomorrow's forecast now, starting with Queensland. In Queensland tomorrow we're
00:54going to see Tropical Cyclone Norell making its way westwards towards the coast. Those
00:59tropical cyclone impacts will increase through the day, mainly for areas north of Cooktown,
01:04but potentially impacting parts of the northeast tropical coast as well. Again, for more information
01:09around the cyclone and its potential impacts, check out our severe weather update video today.
01:15Elsewhere across Queensland, we've got scattered showers down the east coast and the continued
01:21chance of showers and a possible storm in the far northwest. For central and inland parts
01:26of Queensland, drier weather is on the way with a little bit more sunshine too. For Brisbane tomorrow,
01:32we're looking at showers and a top of 28 degrees. In New South Wales tomorrow, showers and possible
01:38storms are on the forecast for many of our central and eastern areas. It'll be drier further west with a
01:45little bit more sunshine out that way as well. We could see some heavy falls with thunderstorms
01:50through our Thursday, most likely about the southern ranges and across parts of the Hunter and mid-north
01:57coast and adjacent ranges and slopes through there. For Sydney, we're likely to see showers increasing
02:02tomorrow with a top of 25 degrees. Down in Canberra, a shower or two, possible thunderstorm and a top
02:08of 23 degrees. In Victoria tomorrow, the chance of morning fog through southern parts of the state,
02:15then a partly to mostly cloudy day through the south and west, but generally dry conditions there.
02:21Showers and possible storms through eastern parts of Victoria, with a chance of some heavy falls across
02:27the northeast. For Melbourne, it is likely to be a mostly cloudy day with a top of 22 degrees. In
02:34Tasmania tomorrow,
02:35we're looking at morning fogs across the state, then generally a partly cloudy day following dry for many
02:40areas, but a trough moving through the south will bring a few isolated showers to far southwest and
02:46southern areas, with generally low rainfall totals expected. For Hobart, we're looking at a partly cloudy
02:52day tomorrow with a top of 21 degrees. In South Australia tomorrow, partly cloudy conditions across
02:59much of the state. A few patchy showers lingering inland, mainly across the pastoral districts and the
03:05Flinders district. Rainfall totals will be much, much lower than what we've seen over previous days,
03:10however. Generally dry conditions through those southern and central areas, with a little bit more
03:15sunshine likely. For Adelaide, a partly cloudy day is on the way tomorrow, with a top of 27 degrees.
03:22In Western Australia tomorrow, generally dry and mostly sunny conditions are forecast. Hot weather,
03:28particularly for the southwest of the state, the southwest land division, but it will tend cooler
03:33than average across the interior. Showers and storms will be a continued risk across the far north through
03:40the Kimberley and parts of the northern interior, with the risk of moderate to locally heavy falls.
03:44For Perth tomorrow, a mostly sunny day with a top of 35 degrees. In the Northern Territory tomorrow,
03:51we're looking at showers and storms across many of our northern and central districts. Patchier showers
03:57continuing through the far south. We could see some locally moderate falls with storms tomorrow,
04:02and it's worth remembering, of course, that we do have significant flooding ongoing across large parts
04:07of the Territory. For Darwin tomorrow, we're looking at a shower or two, a possible thunderstorm
04:12and a top of 31 degrees. Now, you can find the detailed forecast for your area via the Bureau's website,
