Videoconfronto con le versioni PlayStation 3 e PC per Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection.
Trascrizione
00:04Assasin's Creed, the Ezio collection, features three of the best games in the entire series,
00:09which includes Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations.
00:12Each of these titles was released at least five years ago,
00:15and for their time, they were technical marvels, given their scale and ambition.
00:19We recently got our hands on the PS4 version of the game,
00:22and decided to compare the Pro-SKU against the PS3 and PC platforms.
00:27First up is Assassin's Creed 2.
00:28It shows remarkable improvements in terms of framerate performance.
00:32In a particular chase sequence, one can clearly see framerate issues on the PS3.
00:36However, the PS4 Pro version showed no signs of slowdown, resulting in a far better experience.
00:42The texture work and draw distance has also undergone major improvements,
00:46resulting into a crisper image quality compared to sub-HD resolution on the PS3.
00:51Unfortunately, motion capture wasn't really at its peak back in 2009,
00:54which means the remaster also has animations that will look out of place according to today's standards.
01:00Gears of War Ultimate Edition, this is not.
01:02On the other hand, Assassin's Creed Brotherhood shows major improvements in texture filtering and lighting.
01:07The remastered version has been amped up to support enhanced post-processing effects,
01:11improved level of detail, and much better shadow quality.
01:14Character models look much sharper, and overall, it looks better than the PC version.
01:18The jump to a 1080p resolution really sets Brotherhood apart from its last-gen counterpart.
01:23And lastly, we have Assassin's Creed Revelations,
01:25which shows appreciable level of improvements in lighting and image quality,
01:29but overall, the amount of remastering here is pretty limited.
01:32This is perhaps down to the fact that by the time Revelations was being developed,
01:36Ubisoft had already made some serious advancements in their rendering technology,
01:40which were then modified and used in Assassin's Creed 3.
01:43So overall, this is a pretty decent remastering effort by Ubisoft.
01:47Of course, this is nowhere close to what we've seen in recent remakes and remasters,
01:51but the amount of improvements on offer is definitely noticeable.
01:54And that will be it for this video.
