00:07When you're loading into a match
00:08think about what you want to do
00:09in that first minute.
00:11Already be talking to your teammates.
00:14Don't hesitate, just get aggressive and get out there
00:16as quick as possible.
00:22The thing you need to look out for in deck building
00:24for Blitz is
00:25be flexible. You only have 12 very precious
00:28slots. I really try to make sure
00:30that I have everything in there that does more than
00:32one thing. For a 1v1 deck you really need
00:34a fairly balanced deck with a few
00:36flex slots. If you're playing in teams you have
00:38a bit more flexibility because you can choose
00:40to specialize in a slightly different way
00:42so you can go with heavier units and more powers.
00:44I kind of build from my uber unit
00:46down. What do I want the
00:48biggest baddest hurt to be?
00:50I think all the leaders bring something
00:52interesting to the table. They all have
00:54two different unique starting armies.
00:55I definitely have recently been playing Shipmaster
00:57more. He starts with very fast units.
00:59He starts with ghosts or marauders which are quick.
01:01He's got teleportation in his decks. He's got
01:03a lot of things that are about being all over the battlefield
01:05and kind of keeping your enemy on their back foot.
01:08One of my favorite leaders is still
01:09Cutter. If you wait in the later game and you
01:11bring in ODST drop, ODST
01:13assault group, turret drop, Cyclops
01:16drop, and then follow it up with close
01:18air support, you basically can
01:19put a huge army on the field in a matter
01:22of seconds. If you're a really big fan of
01:24kind of being tricky and manipulative
01:25then the Isabelle leader
01:27would be a good one for you. I really like the
01:29take control aspect
01:31of her units being able to kind of like
01:33hack AI or send hologram decoys.
01:37The Kodiak I think is a very valuable
01:39unit. It takes a little bit of effort to
01:41deploy it and undeploy it, find good places
01:43for it. They can put down a heck of a lot
01:45of firepower in a really short amount of time.
01:47I love aerial units. Their big strength
01:50is terrain is not really
01:52an issue. It's great for swooping in and
01:53capturing points. Make great use of
01:55the healing units like the Engineer and the Nightingale
01:57those are some of the most important units in Blitz.
01:59I definitely like to throw things like Blisterbacks out there
02:01and try to kind of control areas on the
02:03ground. Some Nightingales with some Hornets
02:05flying cover are really an interesting
02:07powerful combination.
02:09Skirmish maybe one of the best things about it is
02:11that it gives you some really good training
02:13on how to reduce your build times.
02:16It's a great way to learn the game.
02:18It's a great way to actually experiment
02:20with different strategies.
02:21How can I get to my best point the fastest?
02:24Skirmish is a great way to get that
02:26repetition in and practice that.
02:27Get your economy going fast.
02:29There's loads of ways to capture resources
02:31whether it's through points, running around the map,
02:33get your marines out there, start picking up crates,
02:36go and see what the AI is up to
02:38because if you're playing Skirmish
02:40assume it's coming with the rush.
02:41start building turrets.
