Gameplay dalla Nintendo Treehouse all'E3 2017 per Fire Emblem Warriors, il musou basato sulla celebre serie RPG.
Trascrizione
00:01Hi, everybody. Welcome back to Nintendo Treehouse Live at E3 2017.
00:05I'm up here with Matt, Audrey, and Mr. Hayashi from Koei Tecmo.
00:12And Owen, translating, we're here to give you a look at Fire Emblem Warriors.
00:17I want to warn you, it's a very chaotic game,
00:19and so Audrey will not be playing while she speaks.
00:23That's why we've got Matt up here with us.
00:24He won't be saying a whole lot, but I hope you chime in
00:27with a little bit of your strategic decision-making.
00:29I'll try.
00:29As we're going. So anyway, take it away.
00:31Matthew has a wonderful personality. You won't be hearing much of it, though.
00:34Sorry about that.
00:35So we're going to jump right in here, and as Rich said,
00:37we're taking a look at Fire Emblem Warriors.
00:40Now, this is an action-adventure that has warrior-style gameplay,
00:45but featuring Fire Emblem heroes.
00:48And it's a brand-new story in a brand-new kingdom,
00:50and we're actually going to be first playing the stage
00:54that we're playing on the show floor,
00:55but we have a few new additions we're showing exclusively here
00:58on Nintendo Treehouse Live,
00:59and one of those is this spunky blonde here, Liana.
01:05She's a new hero, right?
01:06She's a brand-new character added just to this game,
01:09and she's the twin sister of Rowan,
01:12who you can play as on the show floor.
01:13Hi, Xander. Hello. We'll get to Xander in a bit.
01:16We'll be spending a lot of time with Xander.
01:18Yes, but while we have Hayashi-san here,
01:22perhaps you could tell us a little bit about
01:24how the idea came about to create a warrior-style game
01:27based around Fire Emblem.
01:28I'm so excited.
01:41You can see it today.
01:58e abbiamo parlato di creare un'Hire Emblem Musso
01:59e abbiamo parlato di questa volta.
02:28per ricordo di Warrior Legends e sarebbe stata una idea di fare una Fire Emblem della loro
02:34di Warriorz.
02:35Ok, grazie.
02:36E come vi ho, Prince Marth showed up.
02:39Fans may riconoscire il suo primo Fire Emblem game
02:41o in Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon
02:43di Nintendo DS.
03:00It'll all make sense when you're playing.
03:02It'll make sense when you play.
03:03Don't fret.
03:04But as you just saw, there was a stun gauge
03:07over one of those enemies,
03:08and Matthew was actually able to whittle it all the way down,
03:11which allowed him to unleash a really epic critical hit on them,
03:14which did a great amount of damage.
03:17I love all of the nods to the Fire Emblem franchise
03:19that we're seeing in here, including the critical hit
03:21that you just saw with the facial animation
03:23going across the screen.
03:24Absolutely, and speaking of,
03:26we've got these little sprites on a grid-based map.
03:28That's a little bit familiar to Fire Emblem fans,
03:31and it also brings me to something else
03:32that we're showing exclusively here on Nintendo Treehouse Live,
03:35which is the ability to give commands.
03:37Now, this is extremely useful,
03:39but you can actually select any of the units
03:41that you're in control of and send them anywhere you want.
03:44You can deploy them to an enemy base.
03:45You can send them to fight a different enemy.
03:47You can do whatever you want
03:48to help you maintain control of the map,
03:50and this is really key in helping you win
03:53because, as you said, it can get quite chaotic.
03:56As you saw, Matthew just switched to Chrom,
03:58which is always a good decision.
04:01But with the touch of a button,
04:02you can switch between the characters you're in control of,
04:04so if you place them at different points on the map,
04:07then you can just switch between them,
04:08and then you're suddenly halfway across the map.
04:10It's very useful.
04:11Chrom versus Marth seems so weird.
04:14They're basically using different iterations
04:15of the same sword, aren't they?
04:16Yeah.
04:17Yeah.
04:19Legendary sword facing off against itself.
04:23And I love these special attacks here.
04:25They're really dynamic,
04:26and they really bring to life the characters
04:28that we know and love from the Fire Emblem franchise.
04:31And as Matthew is kind of mowing down these enemies here
04:35and trying to defeat all of the enemy captains on the map,
04:39Hayashi-san, perhaps you could tell us a little bit
04:41about the battle system and Fire Emblem Warriors
04:43and how it differs from other Warriors games.
04:46Hey.
04:47Hi.
04:48Hi.
04:48Hi.
04:49Hi.
04:49Hi.
04:50Hi.
04:51Hi.
04:51Hi.
04:52Hi.
04:52Hi.
04:54Hi.
05:12Hi.
05:20Hi.
05:26Hi.
05:33Hi.
05:37Hi.
05:37Hi.
05:37Hi.
05:38Hi.
05:41Being able to pair up with characters is something that was inspired by Awakening.
05:45So we have really the strategic elements of Fire Emblem
05:49combined with the thrill of playing a Warriors game.
05:52Absolutely, and there are just all kinds of little touches
05:55that I think Fire Emblem fans will especially really appreciate.
05:58You mentioned the Weapons Triangle,
05:59and anyone who's played a Fire Emblem game
06:01knows the Weapons Triangle quite intimately,
06:03and it's in full effect in this game.
06:05And things like pairing up, if you pair up two of your units,
06:09then you can do things like dual attacks or dual guards,
06:12and you can even have them jump in and help each other
06:14during their special attacks, which isn't only helpful,
06:17it looks really cool.
06:18I think the animations for this game are part of what I love so much about it,
06:22watching all the characters pulling off their critical attacks
06:25like right now with Corrin.
06:26Corrin's going nuts here.
06:27That is insane.
06:29And it's not done yet.
06:31No, she's just getting started.
06:33Yes.
06:35She did give it her all. Thank you, Corrin.
06:41Oh no, you made her mad.
06:44This one's really cool.
06:49We both are momentarily struck numb by the beauty of that attack.
06:54And really, the characters is one of the biggest parts
06:58that fans love about the Fire Emblem series,
07:00and not only do we get to see a great variety of them
07:02and a brand-new kingdom and a brand-new story,
07:04but we get to play in a different type of gameplay
07:07than we usually do for a Fire Emblem Heroes,
07:10so that's really neat.
07:11And also just seeing them rendered in beautiful HD
07:14in these brand-new scenarios is just really something else.
07:18And having all of these characters brought together in one game
07:20provides us with some unique opportunities as well.
07:22You get to see characters who'd never interact in any other game,
07:26like fighting side-by-side or against one another.
07:29Cross-pats, yeah.
07:30When you might not normally have seen Chrom go
07:33falchion to falchion with Marth, here we are.
07:38Speaking of, Hayashi-san,
07:40perhaps you could tell us a little bit about
07:41how you achieved the task of making the more
07:44action-oriented Warriors gameplay,
07:47capture the feel of the Fire Emblem series,
07:50which is more strategy-oriented.
08:17So when we were working on this game,
08:18we really thought that balance between those two kind of game styles
08:23is really important.
08:24So in simulation RPG games,
08:27you would have strategic elements
08:29where you could send characters to different parts of the maps,
08:31and those kind of players who are into those games
08:34really want to take their time with that.
08:37But people who like action games
08:39really want to maintain the tempo,
08:41and so we have the option of setting that part of the system
08:46to be automated so that certain characters
08:49will defend and attack on their own, so.
08:52Thank you.
08:53And thank you also for including Prince Xander,
08:55who's the crown prince of Nohr and of my heart.
08:58Well, don't thank him yet.
09:01Well, he showed up to be friends, right?
09:03That's my understanding.
09:05No?
09:05I was just a little bit more so,
09:07which I'll tell you all...
09:08...
09:08This is actually level up.
09:09This was the Fire Emblem series which was released
09:13but this was the most awesomeании,
09:16which is the player's performance.
09:17If I had mentioned this in the game,
09:19the game was the excellent way for the survival of the game.
09:20This is the player's performance.
09:23This was the franchise,
09:24That was the player's performance,
09:25so that it was definitely a fan of the game.
09:26So, this is the player's performance.
09:27This is the player's performance.
09:27You can also play some of the player's performance.
09:32The player's performance.
10:25O in questo show floor, o anywhere.
10:28No, non.
10:29Se ti piace Fire Emblem,
10:57e in full game, of course, you'll be able to choose which weapons and items you equip your characters with.
11:03Oh, Ryoma and Porn together.
11:04There's Ryoma beating up on innocent civilians like he does.
11:08They just showed up to get a paycheck and they have no stake here.
11:13Those poor guys.
11:30You might have seen there when two characters pair up and they attack, there'll be a heart icon that shows
11:36over them.
11:36And that basically means that the bond between them has gotten closer.
11:39So you have that kind of element where characters will build this closeness between them as you play through the
11:45game.
11:46Yes, that's true. And we're not going to give away about it, but as Hiyachi-san just said, there is
11:50a support system of some sort.
11:51So again, another thing that's very familiar to Fire Emblem fans that has been brought to life in this Warriors
11:57gameplay.
12:02Charging on deeper into battle now.
12:05Who's coming up here? Oh, look at this.
12:08Oh, no.
12:09It's your buddy.
12:11Okay, we all know who to cheer for here.
12:13And it's not Matthew. I'm sorry, Matthew.
12:19Hitting an innocent horse. How could you?
12:21I'd like a little bit of support for my Treehouse member though.
12:24It's okay. Let alone we'll get some revenge.
12:26Trust me.
12:30But see, this is really cool.
12:32We have Corrin, we have Ryoma, and we have Xander all just dueling it out here in this action gameplay.
12:39That's just a scenario we never would have gotten to experience otherwise.
12:43Corrin must feel so conflicted right now.
12:45Yeah, Corrin always feels conflicted.
12:46That's true.
12:47Poor Corrin.
12:51Nicely done.
12:51Good work, Matthew.
12:53Thank you very much.
12:53Made short work of Xander.
12:55Well, no, no, no.
12:56Xander chose to retreat, you know, for the good of his people.
13:00Just don't worry about it.
13:01He had a conflicting appointment.
13:02He did.
13:02I'll show up later.
13:03He had places to be.
13:05Showboat.
13:07I'm sorry, Ryoma's a good character and stuff.
13:11You sound very sincere.
13:13In case you haven't noticed, I might be Team Noor just a little bit.
13:16Just a touch.
13:17Maybe a little.
13:18It's not revealing at all.
13:19Nope.
13:20No.
13:20So thank you for making quick work of those enemy captains, Matthew.
13:24Thank you.
13:24And now we're actually going to jump into a new mode that we're showing exclusively here on Nintendo TRIAS Live.
13:29And this is called Coliseum Mode.
13:31So as Matthew boots it up, Hayashi-san, could you tell us a little bit about what the inspiration was
13:38for Coliseum Mode and what it adds to the experience?
14:07So as you know, arenas are really kind of a traditional game element from past Fire Emblem games.
14:13So we thought that we want to include that in one way or another.
14:17So what we did was included as a mode that's separate from the main story mode.
14:22And it's kind of extra game content that you can play in there.
14:25And what you'll do is you'll go through and fight lots of heroes one-on-one until you get to
14:35the end.
14:35Thank you. And as you can see, we jumped right in here in Colosseum mode.
14:39And finally we're playing as Prince Xander and he's actually storming Hoshido Castle.
14:44This is his prior appointment. He had a separate engagement.
14:46Yes. This is where he ran off to.
14:49So as Hayashi-san mentioned, what separates this mode from regular Warriors gameplay is that while you still have waves
14:55of enemies to take out, it's much more one-versus-one focused.
14:59So first Matthew's going to take down these captains here.
15:03But then after that, he's actually going to go one-on-one with a series of six Fire Emblem heroes.
15:08And he's going to have to take them down to win.
15:10But he's Xander, so he totally will.
15:14I love watching Xander on his horse charging through hordes of soldiers.
15:19Yeah, we need to take a moment to appreciate the horse here.
15:21The horse might be the hero of the whole game.
15:24He's fantastic. He flies, he jumps around, he gets right in the thick of it.
15:28This horse is really a champion for everyone.
15:31Are you saying Xander's overrated?
15:32No, I would never say that.
15:34I'm just saying that the horse is right up to his level.
15:38Equals. Partners.
15:39Yes, just below. Just below him.
15:42I'm just saying that there are more playable characters in E3,
15:46but there are more playable characters in the game.
15:48So I think there will be a lot of characters in the game.
15:55So as you can see, we've seen tons of great Fire Emblem characters in this version of the game,
16:00but there will be lots and lots of other characters that we will be revealing.
16:05So I'm sure there will be some other handsome guys in there that you might be interested in, Audrey, as
16:10well.
16:11Muahaha. I mean, thank you.
16:14More husbands for Audrey.
16:15Yay. Just what I need.
16:19Don't tell Xander.
16:20And as you can see from the gameplay here, it's fully voiced, so you'll be able to play through the
16:39battles while enjoying hearing all your favorite characters speak.
16:43And that really makes it a really feel-good experience while you're playing the game.
16:48And that's a really good point. Hearing all of these lines voiced by our favorite Fire Emblem heroes is just
16:54really an incredible thing for fans.
16:56So maybe you could tell us just a little bit more about the decision to make all of the lines
17:00fully voiced.
17:26So it's not like every single element of the game is voiced, but it's a bit more about the voice.
17:30like it might be in Echoes, but this is definitely a game that takes, you know, the characters
17:38that you've seen in movies from past Fire Emblem games, but then makes them playable within
17:43the game.
17:43So that's really kind of a special thing that we're doing here with the game, so we thought
17:47that it would really make sense.
17:50The only way to kind of bring justice to that would be to add voice to their actions during
17:58the game.
17:58Absolutely.
17:59It really does add a lot.
18:00And as you saw, Xander made quick work with Marth there.
18:03That's true.
18:04Plowed right through him.
18:05And the voice isn't just like flavor.
18:07It also provides you with a lot of in-game instruction and direction about where your weak areas are
18:12on the map and where soldiers need or where your characters need to be deployed.
18:15So it works across the board to bring people into the Fire Emblem experience.
18:20It really does.
18:21And now something terrible and wonderful is happening.
18:25Krom has showed up and it's husband versus husband.
18:28I don't know who to cheer for.
18:31It's okay.
18:32Let the battle decide.
18:33Yes.
18:34Whoever is more worthy of your affections wins.
18:36Oh, God.
18:38Matthew, you fiend.
18:39What are you doing?
18:40I didn't set this up.
18:42This is all you're doing.
18:46All right.
18:47Fight wisely.
18:48Yeah.
18:49Yeah.
18:49There's no winning for you.
18:50There's no winning for me, actually.
18:52You could pull it off.
18:55Yeah.
18:56Give them some space, Matthew.
18:57For God's sake.
18:58Oh, gosh.
18:59Oh.
19:00Poor Krom.
19:01Krom stands alone as his soldiers are run down.
19:06He's taking the patient approach, luring him out.
19:10And there it is.
19:11It's hard to watch.
19:15Maybe they're sparring and they're going to be best friends.
19:18Afterwards.
19:19And star in a buddy comedy.
19:22Together they fight crime.
19:23Yes.
19:23It could happen.
19:30You know, that's going to hurt tomorrow.
19:34Oh, there it is.
19:35Oh, there's Xander's special attack.
19:37This won't do him in, but it's going to sting.
19:39Yeah.
19:40It's not as special when it's against Krom.
19:48And now we have Rowan showing up.
19:50And this is the twin brother of Liana, who we saw earlier on in the segment.
19:54Right.
19:56There it is.
19:57That means that Krom is no longer fighting alone.
20:00Xander's pretty powerful, though.
20:02So we'll see if even the two of them can manage.
20:07We'll see what Matt's strategy is here, too.
20:09Yeah.
20:10Oh, it's just to start murdering them.
20:13His strategy is to murder.
20:14Yeah, that's a sound strategy, actually.
20:16There it is.
20:17And I also want to point out that in Colosseum mode,
20:20you can actually play as different Fire Emblem characters
20:22and go to different stages, but I think I'm pretty set
20:25on Storming Hoshido Castle Xander.
20:27That works for me.
20:28Yeah.
20:28So we're just seeing a little slice of the content,
20:31but it goes much deeper than this.
20:33A slice?
20:34A couple of slices.
20:35Swords? I'm sorry.
20:36Oh, good lord.
20:37I'm so sorry.
20:38I'm so sorry.
20:39My brain thinks up puns before I realize what it's doing.
20:45Oh, don't put baby in a corner.
20:50Yeah, the horse knows better.
20:51There it is.
20:51The horse is trying to get away from Krom.
20:53Xander, no.
20:54Oh, look at that flip.
20:56That horse is amazing.
20:57He can get a couple of pirouette kicks in.
21:00Oh, a little slide.
21:04He's got both of them.
21:05Yeah.
21:06Yeah, this is not going to go well for either of them.
21:07He actually got their stun gauges down
21:09and then did a special attack,
21:10which was a really sound strategy.
21:12That you wish he wasn't using.
21:13I wish he wasn't doing it.
21:15Okay, so he doesn't have much left to him.
21:20And that, yeah, that took care of him.
21:21Yeah.
21:22Did he level up on Krom?
21:24No, no.
21:24I think that was Rowan.
21:26Because that would have been rude.
21:27Yeah.
21:28Krom is still here.
21:29Krom will die a dignified death.
21:31Krom's tired.
21:33Krom's going to go nap now.
21:34Don't worry about him.
21:37And there it is.
21:39I mean, the decision is made.
21:41There's the...
21:42You have to live with it.
21:43I don't have to live with anything.
21:47So we're just waiting for the gates to crack open now?
21:49Yep.
21:49And then we're going to have more Fire Emblem heroes
21:52to rip our hearts out.
21:53I mean, to battle.
21:55But really, that's one of the joys of this game
21:57is that we see all of these characters that we love
21:59from previous Fire Emblem games,
22:01and we get to see them interact in new,
22:05wonderfully painful ways.
22:08Now we've got Korn here defending Hoshido Castle.
22:11Yeah, Korn showed up.
22:12For anybody who played Fire Emblem Fates,
22:14Korn is Xander's...
22:16Let's go with sister.
22:17Yeah.
22:18Yeah, let's say sister.
22:19Just to summarize.
22:20Yes.
22:26They're really pretty upbeat,
22:28considering they're fighting to the death.
22:30Fighting to the nap.
22:32Fighting...
22:32Yeah, fighting to the nap.
22:34And I love how even as Xander
22:36is basically trying to wreck house on Korn,
22:38he's still giving pointers
22:40and trying to be the tutor here.
22:42Very big brotherly.
22:44Absolutely.
22:45I noticed that Xander is shielding
22:47or blocking from time to time.
22:50The horse is just shaking it all off.
22:52The horse doesn't care.
22:53I tell you, this horse is a beast.
22:55This horse is going to save everyone.
22:57You've already got Korn down to less than half.
23:00Yeah.
23:00You're making short work of her.
23:02That's what you get for choosing Hoshido.
23:05But she's got a little support.
23:07And now we have Liana showing up.
23:09Don't tell her what happened to Rowan.
23:11She might not be happy about it.
23:18I love these character introduction scenes as well.
23:22Yeah.
23:22All of the character introductions,
23:24their animations,
23:25their special attacks.
23:26They're just...
23:26So much effort and detail was put into them.
23:34Oh.
23:35She actually...
23:36They are.
23:36Wow.
23:37Oh, wait. Okay.
23:40I thought they were pushing Xander back for a bit,
23:42but he's rallied.
23:43It's really rough to be a red shirt here in Hoshido Castle.
23:47Yeah.
23:50They're complaining to wardrobe right now.
23:52Yeah.
23:53I told you I wanted the blue shirt.
23:56Oh, look at this beautiful leaf.
23:58Don't you love nature, Rich?
24:00Ryoma hates leaves.
24:01Ryoma, why would you do that?
24:04That's just awful.
24:05He just hates raking.
24:06He really does.
24:09So now the crown prince of Hoshido,
24:12who hates leaves in nature,
24:13has just showed up.
24:15And Xander's going to make him cry.
24:17Go make him cry, Matthew.
24:18All right.
24:18I'll try my hardest.
24:19I'm not Matthew's boss, but I'm acting like it.
24:21Go kill things.
24:23Kill in my name.
24:24Yes.
24:25Just happens to coincide with what I'm doing already.
24:27Good.
24:33Yeah.
24:33Make sure he feels it.
24:35No quick death.
24:36No honor for him.
24:37I'm sure.
24:39And level up.
24:40Yeah.
24:40This game makes me feel like a bad person,
24:42but in the best of ways.
24:45Power up.
24:47Now we have the legendary blade, Siegfried.
24:52So many legends.
24:53So many legendary blades.
24:54So many blades.
24:55Yes.
24:56Oh.
24:57Sorry, Liana.
24:58That's going to hurt.
25:00It's going to hurt worse in a few minutes.
25:02Yeah.
25:07We only have a few minutes,
25:08and we must make Ryoma suffer.
25:10So make him suffer, please.
25:14Yeah, the question is,
25:15can we cause enough suffering to Ryoma?
25:17By we, I mean Matt.
25:18Yes.
25:19Before we have to move on.
25:21I think it's a team effort.
25:22I feel like we're channeling our positive vibes his way.
25:25We're all doing it.
25:26Yes.
25:26We're all winning today.
25:33I'm ready.
25:34I'm prepared.
25:37I love how the enemies drop money too.
25:39Like they don't need that anymore.
25:42Take that off your hands.
25:46That'll do it.
25:47Nice.
25:48Excellent work.
25:49Perfectly timed.
25:51We didn't get to see him fall,
25:53but I'm sure it was glorious.
25:55There's nothing more shameful than an off-screen death.
25:59Perfect.
26:04And scene.
26:06Oh, God.
26:07Yeah.
26:08The hero of everything.
26:12Husband victorious.
26:13Yay.
26:15Score one for husband-o.
26:19All right.
26:20Now that's all of the gameplay that we have to show off today,
26:22but we have a little something special
26:24that I can't quite reach.
26:26All right.
26:27I'll give you a hand here.
26:28to them.
26:28Cover it up.
26:30Secrets.
26:30Secrets are happening.
26:31All right.
26:32Behind this hand here,
26:33we have a couple of secrets happening,
26:35and that is two new Fire Emblem amiibo,

26:47and just like all Fire Emblem amiibo,
26:48they will actually be compatible with Fire Emblem Warriors.
26:52We're not going to talk about what they can do,
26:53but all you need to know is that look how cool they are,
26:57and they're compatible.
26:58I love the cape.
26:59Yes.
26:59That cape is pretty special, actually.
