00:25He was charged under Section 505B of the Penal Code, which criminalizes statements made with the intent to cause fear

00:34The offense is punishable by up to two years' imprisonment, a fine, or both.
00:39Separately, activist Arun Durasami claimed trial at the Jawi Magistrate's Court in Penang to a similar charge under the same
00:46section of the Penal Code.
00:47The 56-year-old, whose real name is Arun Mukum Durasami, was accused of making the offending statement in a
00:54video posted on his Instagram account
00:56at about 3.45pm on March 12th last year at Ikea Batukawan, Penang.
01:01Deputy Public Prosecutors Nazran Sham and Irina Shazwin Zainurin asked for bail of RM5,000 with one surety.
