00:00:52Get ready, there's a long journey ahead.
00:00:56We are going to the Golden Age, to the Arabian Peninsula.
00:01:01Say "Bismillah" before entering Badr.
00:01:04Angels in heaven, you wait silently on earth.
00:01:10Take good care of them when they arrive.
00:01:13They were the bravest heroes of their time, and of all time.
00:01:20They are stars in the sky and lions on the ground.
00:01:24One hundred and twenty-five thousand bodies, but one soul.
00:01:28They are the spirit of Muhammad.
00:01:38Lions have come out of Medina.
00:01:41The lions of Bedr are now on their way.
00:01:45Look at this, Hazrat Umayr, like a lion cub.
00:01:51The Prophet will turn him away because he is too young.
00:01:54But Umayr was crying so much that the Prophet gave him permission.
00:01:59O Prophet Waqqas, bind the sword of your brother Umayr.
00:02:06He's too short to tie it.
00:02:08Hazrat Hamza has two swords at his waist.
00:02:13Every step he takes stops a heart.
00:02:17It is true, Hamza, that you fear nothing you see.
00:02:22But keep your grandeur hidden.
00:02:25The death of the march is frightening.
00:02:30Listen to the Sultan of all creation.
00:02:34Even the wind falls silent when he speaks.
00:02:38Are you ready, my companions?
00:02:42Sa'd ibn Mu'adh is standing.
00:02:44He says, "O Messenger of Allah."
00:02:46By Allah, who sent you with the true religion!
00:02:49If you show us the sea and dive in
00:02:53We'll dive with you too.
00:02:56Guide us with the blessings of God.
00:03:00The Beloved Prophet smiles.
00:03:03When she smiles, roses bloom in our hearts.
00:03:07The Prophet is smiling, and they are walking.
00:03:11The suffering in Mecca has ended.
00:03:14They walk as if the stars have come down to earth.
00:03:19Before them lay the sun of the universe.
00:03:23Here are Hazrat Omar and Hazrat Ali.
00:03:26One is Hattaboğlu, the other is Hayder-i Kerrar
00:03:31And arm in arm, they walk into the mouth of death.
00:03:51Father and son at Badr,
00:03:54At Badr, brother against brother,
00:03:57The polytheists of Mecca first demand three brave men.
00:04:00Show us three brave men among you.
00:04:05The angels are gazing upon the sovereign of the universes.
00:04:09Whom will the Sultan of Messengers point to?
00:04:13Because when he points
00:04:15The moon is splitting in two.
00:04:18To whom will his blessed hands reach out?
00:04:24Get up, Ubeyde!
00:04:26Get up, Hamza!
00:04:29Get up, Ali!
00:04:32Did you see the brave men?
00:04:35Have you seen Hamza?
00:04:37Look how gracefully it struts along.
00:04:40It's as if Ali is descending from the sky.
00:04:44The father of the Seyids.
00:04:46Ubeyde gets injured in the leg.
00:04:48He's going straight to his master.
00:04:51O Messenger of Allah!
00:04:52"Am I a martyr?" he asks.
00:04:55Yes, you are a martyr.
00:04:58And the Lord of Lords is praying.
00:05:01He extends his hands to his Merciful Lord.
00:05:04O God, fulfill your promise to me.
00:05:08Oh God, if you destroy this handful of people
00:05:12There will be no one left on earth to worship you.
00:05:16A storm is brewing in Badr.
00:05:18A thousand angels under the command of Archangel Michael
00:05:22To the right of the Messenger of Allah.
00:05:24A storm is brewing in Badr.
00:05:27Under the command of Hazrat Israfil
00:05:29A thousand angels are on the left of the Messenger of Allah.
00:05:33And another storm.
00:05:35The Archangel Gabriel and a thousand other angels were also in front of the Prophet.
00:05:40Three thousand angels
00:05:42With dappled horses.
00:06:08They are returning from Badr.
00:06:10Among the captives was the Prophet's uncle.
00:06:13Hazrat Abbas.
00:06:15It's nighttime.
00:06:17The prisoners' hands are tied.
00:06:19Hazrat Abbas is firmly devoted.
00:06:22A moan spreads through the night.
00:06:25The Prophet of Mercy cannot sleep.
00:06:27The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, why don't you sleep?"
00:06:32My uncle's groans keep me awake.
00:06:36They immediately untie the Prophet's uncle's hands.
00:06:40Upon learning of the situation, the Prophet Muhammad gave the order.
00:06:44Untie the hands of all the prisoners.
00:06:50They are returning from Badr.
00:06:52Among the captives is the Prophet's son-in-law.
00:06:56He will be released in exchange for a ransom.
00:06:59A necklace is offered to the Messenger of Allah.
00:07:02Zeynep sent her daughter.
00:07:05As ransom for his wife.
00:07:08The Prophet of Mercy's eyes fill with tears.
00:07:11Because this necklace is the same necklace that Khadija wore on Zeynep at her wedding.
00:07:21The Prophet speaks with teary eyes.
00:07:24Would you mind releasing him and sending the necklace to Zeynep?
00:07:31Oh, Messenger of Allah, don't be sad.
00:07:37You are dearer to us than our own lives.
00:07:41Here you go, we'd give our lives for you.
00:07:45Just don't be sad.
00:07:47They are returning from Badr.
00:07:50Their loved ones are praying.
00:07:53They are returning with the Prophet's prayer.
00:07:57One who helps his servant.
00:08:00Praise be to Allah, who has made His religion supreme.
00:08:06Praise be to the Lord of all worlds.
00:08:10Praise be to the Lord of all creation.
00:08:14Praise be to the Lord of all worlds.
00:08:18Praise be to the Lord of all creation.
00:08:28Dear friends, we have reached the sixth night of Ramadan.
00:08:35The night is a little quieter, hearts a little more sensitive.
00:08:40The time of Sahur is when time thins out, the heart softens, and one is most sincere with oneself.
00:08:53Mercy.
00:08:54We always begin the recitation of the Quran in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:09:01So, this path begins with compassion.
00:09:05This religion breathes compassion.
00:09:14In Ramadan, compassion is not a deficiency but a strength, not a weakness or arrogance but a refinement.
00:09:25And fasting disciplines not only our stomachs, but also our hearts.
00:09:37Hunger reminds one of others.
00:09:41The poor, the orphan, the fatherless.
00:09:45Perhaps Ramadan comes to soften the hardness of our hearts.
00:09:51The time of sahur (pre-dawn meal) becomes a time when compassion blossoms anew.
00:10:00Sir, today, tonight, we will be discussing the reflections of compassion in our lives.
00:10:10The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was merciful, compassionate, and
00:10:21We will talk about how compassion elevates a person.
00:10:26Because without compassion, the heart withers.
00:10:30Where there is compassion, humanity is revived.
00:10:35May our night be blessed, and our pre-dawn meal be auspicious.
00:10:44Sir, on our sixth night, I have a very precious guest who will be our travel companion until dawn.
00:10:57Advisor to the President of Religious Affairs,
00:10:59Associate Professor Burhan İşleyen, esteemed professor, welcome.
00:11:05Thank you very much. I wish you a safe journey.
00:11:08God Almighty, the Exalted History, the Holy Month of Ramadan
00:11:11He granted me the opportunity to spend five days fasting and worshipping.
00:11:17May our Lord grant us to spend the remaining days with an ever-increasing fervor and enthusiasm for worship.
00:11:24to be able to spend it in worship, fasting, charity, good deeds, increasing our compassion and being worthy of compassion.
00:11:31And to reach the morning of the holiday unforgiven, without a single sin remaining.
00:11:38May God grant this to each and every one of us, along with all our valued viewers.
00:11:43You know, it's the time for sahur, the time of dawn.
00:11:47When God Almighty describes the time of dawn in the Holy Quran,
00:11:50Those who have hope sleep little at night and seek forgiveness in the mornings, he says.
00:11:56We too seek forgiveness from our Lord.
00:12:00O Lord, grant us these blessed hours and blessed days.
00:12:05In the words of our Prophet (peace be upon him),
00:12:07Make us among those servants who behave and live in a way that will make them worthy of Your mercy during Your days of mercy.
00:12:15Amine.
00:12:15Dear professor, during the 11 months outside of Ramadan...
00:12:20So darkness infects both day and night.
00:12:25So, mercy and darkness follow each other in life.
00:12:29But for the sake of the month of Ramadan, or perhaps for the sake of the Glorious Quran,
00:12:36May Allah Almighty keep our nights and days free from darkness.
00:12:41It transforms them into times filled with light.
00:12:43All praise is due to Him.
00:12:45Hallelujah.
00:12:46Dear professor, there was a text we were trying to present at the opening, but I sometimes hesitated.
00:12:55On compassion.
00:12:57The chapters of the Quran are all...
00:13:02It begins with "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim".
00:13:04It reminds us that Allah Almighty is the Most Gracious and Most Merciful.
00:13:11What is the central role of compassion in our religion?
00:13:17Yes.
00:13:18All praise and thanks be to our Lord.
00:13:22He describes himself as the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.
00:13:26Erhamurrahimin is described as the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.
00:13:31And in another verse of the Holy Quran,
00:13:34كَتَبَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةِ
00:13:36He describes himself as someone who has made mercy his guiding principle.
00:13:41We have a Lord whose mercy surpasses His wrath.
00:13:45Hallelujah.
00:13:46He acted with mercy, and created the universe.
00:13:50He treated people with compassion.
00:13:52A single drop of water contains thousands, even hundreds of thousands, of tiny particles.
00:13:58Human beings, the raw material of which is man, walked, talked, became wealthy, gained opportunities, rejoiced, grieved, came into the world, and tried to live a meaningful life in it.
00:14:12By His mercy, a weak, thin, scrawny blade of grass or a weed or a rose bush emerges from the earth.
00:14:26sometimes by cracking rocks,
00:14:28Saying "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim" (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful), he ascended as if towards the heavens.
00:14:33God is merciful.
00:14:37If one is worthy of His mercy, if one is aware of His mercy, then that's how one can look at it.
00:14:45He can see the effects of his mercy everywhere he looks.
00:14:49Without God's mercy, we wouldn't be where we are today.
00:14:55If God did not treat us with mercy, the magnificent balance in this universe would not continue to function so flawlessly.
00:15:04"Look at the sky," he says, "hel teramin futur, do you see any opening, any lack, any crack, any deficiency?"
00:15:12Look again; your eyes will return tired from not being able to see.
00:15:19You'll look closely, but you won't see any scene that would allow you to attribute any deficiency.
00:15:26Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, begins each surah of the Holy Quran by mentioning His names, Rahman (the Most Gracious) and Rahim (the Most Merciful).
00:15:34He wants us to begin all our work with the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:15:45In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:15:46Beginning in the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, we, as servants of a Lord who has made mercy a principle in His very being, pledge to act with mercy.
00:15:59We are giving, in a sense.
00:16:01Because Allah's name Rahman (the Most Merciful) applies to everyone in this world, whether they deserve mercy or not, whether they acknowledge His power, authority, and existence or not, and whether they worship Him.
00:16:15"Let it not be" is a name that applies to everyone.
00:16:19God treats the world with mercy.
00:16:22Allah Almighty will reserve this mercy for those who know Him, believe in Him, and strive to worship Him in the hereafter, in the eternal life.
00:16:35That too will be reflected as a manifestation of the name Rahim (the Merciful).
00:16:40To existence, to the universe, and to humanity.
00:16:43Therefore, Allah is the Most Gracious and the Most Merciful.
00:16:46He is the One who is full of mercy.
00:16:48All of God's attributes and names are used for beings other than Him, but Allah is not mentioned in any other way than the word "Allah" (lafz-i celal).
00:16:58Besides the Most Merciful, there is no one else with Him.
00:17:00The uterus can be used, for example.
00:17:02God Almighty uses the term "Rahim" (Merciful) for our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
00:17:07However, the name Rahman, meaning the One who is most merciful and treats everything with compassion, is used only for God Almighty.
00:17:18We can probably talk about this later, but I'm mentioning it so I don't forget.
00:17:22The important thing is to live a life worthy of that mercy.
00:17:28Yes.
00:17:28The solution to this is shown by our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
00:17:32He is setting a rule, or rather, giving a principle.
00:17:39Treat those on earth with mercy, so that He who is in heaven—the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the heavens, the earth, and the entire universe—may He be merciful to them.
00:17:51May Allah Almighty treat you with mercy.
00:17:55What matters is living a life that will attract God's mercy.
00:18:00Yes.
00:18:01Dear teacher, show mercy to those on earth, so that those in heaven may show mercy to you.
00:18:09Now, I'm not saying this to broaden the meaning of compassion too much, but...
00:18:17What is gratitude, was Cüneydi Bağdadi asked at a young age?
00:18:22He adds a very broad meaning to his question, saying that gratitude means not rebelling against God with the blessings He has given.
00:18:34Now, is this compassion merely a feeling of pity?
00:18:38So, when we speak of mercy towards those on earth, does that mean not committing injustice?
00:18:45Yes.
00:18:47Compassion is essentially treating everyone as they deserve.
00:18:51Yes.
00:18:52Compassion is, in essence, being fair.
00:18:55Sometimes, actions that appear compassionate can manifest as cruelty or injustice.
00:19:03Let me try to explain it with a simple example.
00:19:07When someone has a terrible toothache, and the tooth needs to be extracted—a decayed one, for example—the dentist performs a merciless procedure before pulling it out.
00:19:17First it hurts, it pricks you with a needle.
00:19:21It's numbing.
00:19:21It's numbing.
00:19:22In reality, that seemingly merciless act of inflicting pain with an injection is an act of compassion on the part of the physician towards the patient, as it is preparation for what is to come.
00:19:35Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that the application of a punishment...
00:19:41Had refers to the punishments prescribed by God Almighty in the Quran and Sunnah for the crimes committed.
00:19:50It's a name, you know.
00:19:50The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The implementation of a punishment in a town is better than forty days of rain in that town."
00:19:58By enforcing a limit, you are essentially imposing a punishment.
00:20:02Yes.
00:20:02So, basically, let's say someone has committed a crime, and you're punishing them.
00:20:08You inflict punishment, yet the Quran describes rain as a blessing.
00:20:12Yes.
00:20:12Our Prophet is also a mercy.
00:20:14The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) presented this as an act of mercy towards that community and that individual.
00:20:21There is life in retaliation, just like the meaning in the verse.
00:20:25In other words, a person must take the necessary precautions when necessary, and act justly.
00:20:32Although it may sometimes appear as heartlessness, it is actually compassion.
00:20:39Sometimes, behaviors that appear to be compassionate,
00:20:41So, let's say in the morning, at the time of the morning prayer,
00:20:46I was chosen as an example from within my own field.
00:20:48Yes, sir.
00:20:48He's sleeping at the time of the morning prayer.
00:20:50Your teenage daughter, with bloody skin at home,
00:20:55Saying "let him just fall asleep" is not compassionate towards a child.
00:20:59Our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was very meticulous about this.
00:21:04After marrying his daughter Fatima to Ali (may Allah be pleased with him),
00:21:08He would go to his door every day at the time of the morning prayer.
00:21:12Our books say he went there for six or nine months.
00:21:17Fatima, Ali, get up, it's time for the morning prayer; this isn't cruelty.
00:21:23This is a reflection of compassion.
00:21:25One day, either Hasan or Hüseyin, our masters, were working late when one of them fell ill.
00:21:32Our mother Fatima couldn't sleep.
00:21:34May Allah increase the reward of all mothers for being so preoccupied with their children.
00:21:39Motherhood is tough, but it's as great as Ecrin.
00:21:42Giving even a single drop of milk is like winning paradise.
00:21:47We need to be aware of the reward for this as well.
00:21:50So mothers should feel at ease in this sense.
00:21:53The Prophet Muhammad is coming out of the mosque.
00:21:56Our mother Fatima was busy with Hussein until morning.
00:22:00He couldn't sleep, sir.
00:22:02He woke up in the morning and thought, "It's time for prayer."
00:22:04He performed his prayers and then went to bed.
00:22:07When the Prophet arrived and saw that Fatima was asleep at the time of the morning prayer, he became worried.
00:22:15Shaking her like that, I said, "Fatma, my daughter Fatma, get up!"
00:22:18He managed to open his eyes with great difficulty.
00:22:20Here you go, Dad.
00:22:21My dear, time is passing.
00:22:23The time for prayer is passing.
00:22:24He recounted what had happened to him.
00:22:27It happened somehow.
00:22:28He did not sleep, neither Hasan nor Husayn, may Allah be pleased with them.
00:22:30I also prayed and went to bed after putting him to sleep," he said.
00:22:34A look of sadness appeared on our Prophet's face.
00:22:37Really, my dear?
00:22:38So you've been through hardship.
00:22:40Don't worry, you won't have such problems in heaven.
00:22:43They ordered it.
00:22:44The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
00:22:46What now seems like cruelty, is actually compassion.
00:22:51What appears to be compassion may actually be the result of heartlessness.
00:22:55This balance must be established fairly.
00:22:57Thank you.
00:22:58Professor Kıymet, we are talking about two names: Rahman (the Most Gracious) and Rahim (the Most Merciful).
00:23:06The Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
00:23:08What is the difference between these two names?
00:23:13Yes, I tried to convey that a moment ago, within the context of the sentence.
00:23:18The manifestation of the name Rahman (the Most Merciful) in this world, regardless of whether one deserves it or not.
00:23:24It means that God treats everyone with mercy.
00:23:28Whether they believe or not.
00:23:31If God were to act justly, He would not punish those who do not believe in Him.
00:23:36One should not give even a drop of water to a person who does not acknowledge their own existence and authority.
00:23:43But this is God's law in this world; He has set the rule.
00:23:48He will treat all creatures in the world with mercy.
00:23:54However, this mercy will not manifest itself in this way to disbelievers in the hereafter.
00:24:02The mercy of Almighty God is bestowed only upon those who believe and acknowledge His existence.
00:24:09He will grant it to His believing and pious servants who strive to worship Him.
00:24:14This is also a manifestation of the name "Rahim" (the Merciful).
00:24:17Both in the afterlife and in paradise.
00:24:19It is also a manifestation of the divine name "Rahim" (the Merciful) on the Day of Judgment.
00:24:23Now, in our history, we have such beautiful examples of mercy.
00:24:27Dear professor, I'm worried I might forget.
00:24:31Such is the mercy of this.
00:24:31Please, sir.
00:24:32There are such beautiful examples of mercy,
00:24:34He adopted these names of God, Rahman (the Most Gracious) and Rahim (the Most Merciful), as a principle for showing mercy to himself and to his very being.
00:24:42We have elders who correctly understand the names and verses of Allah, the Most Merciful.
00:24:49We have masters who trample on ants.
00:24:52Isn't that interesting?
00:24:53So, she puts an anklet on her foot, she puts a bell on her foot.
00:24:57So that ants don't get crushed and killed under his feet without realizing it.
00:25:04Now, this is something we know from the textbooks.
00:25:07God Almighty recounts the story of how Solomon (peace be upon him) and his army spoke to an ant during their journey.
00:25:15"La yehdimennekum lest Solomon and his army trample you."
00:25:22They might not do it intentionally, but they can crush or trample on you without realizing it.
00:25:28"May Solomon and his army not crush you, my lord," he says.
00:25:32There is a great need now for these examples to be taken from our history, from our books, and brought into our lives, our streets, our homes, our writings, our world.
00:25:47I am moved every time I read or talk about it.
00:25:49A gentleman, a man with a large clock, goes somewhere, eats a meal, and opens his bundle.
00:25:57There, after eating whatever God has provided, he closes his bag and continues on his way.
00:26:04He walks for three or four hours, then takes another rest, and again sets up his meal, his table, by a fountain.
00:26:11He looks inside the thing, inside the bundle, and sees a few ants.
00:26:15He looks around, but there are no ant nests.
00:26:18Good heavens, where could these ants have come from?
00:26:22He says that at the place where I took a break earlier, three or four hours ago, there was an ant nest.
00:26:29I guess they came from somewhere else; they ended up in my bundle without me realizing it.
00:26:33He walks back, three or four hours, to where he came from, leaving the ants back in their nest, and then leaves again.
00:26:42Now, this sensitivity, this delicate nature, is the sensitivity of the book.
00:26:47That is the sensitivity of the Quran.
00:26:49This is the sensitivity of Muhammad Mustafa (peace and blessings be upon him), who was sent as a mercy to all creation.
00:26:55And this sensitivity is precisely what the world needs most today.
00:27:01Because when a person is devoid of compassion, when they are stripped of compassion, they transform into a different being.
00:27:08Look how many years now, the world has been witnessing deaths.
00:27:13We witness acts of oppression all the time.
00:27:16So, we've been talking about Gaza for the past few years, but the oppression wasn't just in Gaza.
00:27:22In many parts of the world, when a person gets the opportunity, temporary opportunities, they become devoid of compassion.
00:27:31Look at the Epstein case, I don't know how to pronounce it.
00:27:35Now, people who claim to be marketing peace, love, democracy, and freedom to the world,
00:27:45They were the cruelest people in the world.
00:27:47They were the worst people in the world.
00:27:49Could such brutality be possible?
00:27:51Now, let's look at the point we've reached, considering the person who used to wear an anklet to avoid harming even an ant.
00:28:04Yes, those who try to rejuvenate themselves by sucking the goodness out of children, or those who are evil, savage, I'm very sorry,
00:28:14A savage mindset that attempts to fulfill its vile, lustful desires on naked bodies during the blessed pre-dawn meal.
00:28:23Here, during the time when our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came,
00:28:30Perhaps humanity hadn't sunk this low, but similar things existed, horrors were happening.
00:28:35وَاِذَا بُشِّرَحَدْهُمْ بِالْعُنْفَةِ
00:28:38When one of those polytheists was informed that he had a baby girl,
00:28:44وَالَّوَاَشْهُ مُسْفَتًا
00:28:45His face was turning completely black.
00:28:47Because of the bad news he received.
00:28:49They had a baby girl.
00:28:51Yes.
00:28:51What will he do now?
00:28:52اَيُمْسِكُهُ عَلَىٰهُونِ اَمْ يَدُسُّهُ فِتْتُرَابِ
00:28:55Is he going to keep this child with him?
00:28:57Will she keep it with her, regardless of the ridicule and mockery from those around her?
00:29:03Or will he take it and bury it in the ground?
00:29:05He was trying to make that decision.
00:29:08God Almighty is presenting us with only a snapshot, a scene, from the Age of Ignorance.
00:29:14It came at such a time, and these people are not many,
00:29:18My mentor Dursun and I, over the past 20 years or so, have built the true edifice of happiness.
00:29:24So it's possible then.
00:29:25And he took his granddaughter, his granddaughter, on his shoulder,
00:29:31The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the mosque.
00:29:35He stepped in front of his companions, stood for prayer in the mihrab, with his granddaughter on his shoulder.
00:29:41And he showed them by living it.
00:29:46He demonstrated it through his actions.
00:29:47Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in such a society,
00:29:50God Almighty is already emphasizing this.
00:29:52So, the source of mercy is Allah, Glorified and Exalted be His Name.
00:29:55So, our Prophet (peace be upon him),
00:29:57He is not acting with mercy that God has not bestowed upon him.
00:30:01Mercy comes from God.
00:30:02Sometimes you make a mistake in your explanation.
00:30:07It's as if God wants to punish us.
00:30:09It seems the Prophet (peace be upon him) is also trying to save them from it.
00:30:12No, that's not the case.
00:30:14Mercy, for it is mercy from Allah.
00:30:17May Allah grant them His mercy.
00:30:19You were kind to those around you.
00:30:23If you were a rude man, if you were a hard-hearted person,
00:30:26They would disperse and leave from around him.
00:30:31The wisdom behind our Prophet Muhammad's (peace and blessings be upon him) rapid transformation of this ignorant society is as follows:
00:30:39The reason given is that God Almighty shows His mercy, His merciful nature.
00:30:45Now, from here, during these blessed days,
00:30:50We are in the midst of the blessed days of Ramadan.
00:30:55So, we're essentially starting the second phase.
00:30:58The days that our Prophet described as days of mercy.
00:31:01We need to gather and carry divine mercy for ourselves.
00:31:07Our relationships with our spouses, our relationships with our children,
00:31:10with colleagues, superiors and subordinates, whatever our position is,
00:31:16through our relationships, our relationships with others, our relationships with animals,
00:31:21Sir, we need to bring compassion into our lives in our relationship with plants.
00:31:27Dear professor, you said that Rahman, Er-Rahman, encompasses the entire universe.
00:31:33In other words, without making a distinction between believers and unbelievers,
00:31:37Then we too can have a sense of compassion towards believers, in a way.
00:31:44But his compassion extends to the whole world, to all existence,
00:31:51I even heard something like this:
00:31:53The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) never threw away the stone he was holding.
00:31:57He put it down on the ground, he just left it there.
00:32:00Not even a stone has ever thrown something that, in our view, seems inanimate.
00:32:04I don't know who this stanza belongs to, but I'm sure you know who it is.
00:32:09It's difficult to read poetry in your presence, of course.
00:32:12You are such a merciful being, more generous than the clouds.
00:32:15"The clouds cry when you give rain, but you smile," he says.
00:32:19Gee.
00:32:20Now, our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
00:32:22Truly a magnificent example of compassion, compassion in every aspect.
00:32:27Dear professor, we will begin by discussing the mercy of our beloved Prophet.
00:32:33But if you'll allow me,
00:32:34Let us recite an excessive verse from the Glorious Quran, but...
00:32:38Regarding the issue of burying female infants alive,
00:32:42A verse from the Quran came to my mind.
00:32:44Before that, God Almighty tells us about momentous things.
00:32:47It describes events across the universe.
00:32:50But then,
00:32:52When the little girl, who was buried alive, was asked what her crime was...
00:32:57Yes.
00:32:58So, how important is that in the eyes of God Almighty?
00:33:00We may not care, but...
00:33:03And here we have an extremely sacred recitation of verses from the Glorious Quran that we heard.
00:33:08Dear viewers, the blessings of suhoor are illuminated by the light of revelation.
00:39:07M.K.
00:39:54M.K.
00:40:28M.K.
00:40:29M.K.
00:40:57M.K.
00:41:25The image of spouses violently attacking each other on street corners, in the streets, and in market places, displaying merciless examples.
00:41:36Or can news reports showing fights that end in murder befit a Muslim society?
00:41:44Then we need to look for something else, we need to find something else.
00:41:50The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) described the relationship between spouses in this way.
00:41:55Regarding the treatment of children, for example, in front of the mosque, which you partially referred to in the first section...
00:42:04He lifted Hasan and Hüseyin onto his back, while he placed his hands on the ground.
00:42:11This is the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
00:42:13He carries them on his back.
00:42:16So, he's carrying them with his hands and knees on the ground.
00:42:20Hazrat Omar is approaching from the opposite direction.
00:42:22Hazrat Omar was known for being a bit more courageous and strict.
00:42:28He's teasing and joking with the children.
00:42:32"What beautiful horses you have, children!"
00:42:36Our Prophet (peace be upon him) responded to this compliment, this joking, this teasing by raising his blessed head.
00:42:45He replies, "What wonderful soothsayers I have, what wonderful horsemen I have!"
00:42:52This is an example of love, an example of compassion for children.
00:42:55But just a moment ago, I showed حضرت Fatima her sensitivity regarding the morning prayer.
00:43:01This compassion is not reflected as indiscipline, indifference, or laxity in our duties and responsibilities towards our Lord.
00:43:11Unintentionally, he had left a date as charity in the corner of the house.
00:43:15When one of our masters, Hasan or Hüseyin, takes it and puts it in his mouth
00:43:18He leaps up like an arrow, sticks his finger down his throat, and pulls out the date he was about to swallow.
00:43:26"Oh my child, giving dates as charity is forbidden for our family, take them out!"
00:43:31This refers to treating the children, grandchildren, and those around our Prophet (peace be upon him) with mercy.
00:43:39So, sir, it shouldn't be interpreted in a very broad sense as indiscipline or indifference to God's commands and prohibitions.
00:43:53Definitely.
00:43:53Now...
00:43:55So a balance needs to be maintained.
00:43:58Of course.
00:43:59Justice, as we mentioned in the first chapter.
00:44:01Teacher, Allah Almighty, whose mercy is so great, forbids us from losing hope in His mercy.
00:44:12Do not lose hope in God's mercy.
00:44:15Now, that's one side of the story.
00:44:17On the other hand, do not let Satan deceive you with God's mercy.
00:44:21So he needs to find a balance, a way forward, between the two.
00:44:26Absolutely.
00:44:27So, the verse you mentioned, Surah Zumer 51, that verse in between...
00:44:33O My servants who have transgressed against yourselves!
00:44:38La taknatu min rahmetillah.
00:44:40Do not despair of God's mercy.
00:44:44From where?
00:44:45Because God forgives all sins.
00:44:47Only God can forgive.
00:44:50God is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
00:44:54Therefore, one should never lose hope in God's mercy.
00:45:00We should do things that will attract His mercy.
00:45:04What was the second verse you mentioned?
00:45:06And let not Satan deceive you with God's mercy.
00:45:10Yes.
00:45:11Satan says to you, "La yagharurannakum billahil garur."
00:45:14By relying on God's mercy, the verse doesn't explicitly mention mercy, but that's how we understand it.
00:45:19God Almighty says, "Let not Him deceive, mislead, or mislead you by making you rely on His mercy."
00:45:26The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) has a wise explanation, and he also has a humble explanation, almost as if interpreting this verse.
00:45:34There is.
00:45:34He says that a wise person is one who holds themselves accountable and prepares for the afterlife.
00:45:41It was just recited in the verses of the Quran.
00:45:43He says that verses 124-125 of Surah Taha were recited.
00:45:48Whoever turns away from remembering Me, from mentioning Me, from worshipping Me, from My revelation, and from My Book, will have a constricted livelihood.
00:45:58A meager income does not necessarily mean financial hardship.
00:46:02It does not mean financial or economic hardship.
00:46:05It means an insatiable state of mind.
00:46:08Even if the whole world were given to him, he would still strive to have another world.
00:46:16He's constantly restless.
00:46:17Constantly restless, constantly wanting more.
00:46:19He can't even enjoy what he earns.
00:46:22Sir, he can hardly even enjoy it.
00:46:24I don't know if such a thing exists.
00:46:26He can't even enjoy it.
00:46:28But I constantly want to increase it, multiply it, where did I get it from, where did I give it to, who, what is it, and so on.
00:46:33Night and day, these kinds of things are swirling around in his head; to put it mildly, calculations are flying around.
00:46:39What is this?
00:46:40It is to turn away from something.
00:46:42It is turning away from remembrance of God.
00:46:43God Almighty says, "We will resurrect him blind on the Day of Judgment."
00:46:47We will resurrect the blind.
00:46:48He will say, "O Lord, why did you resurrect me blind?"
00:46:51I was a man who could see.
00:46:53I saw it while I was alive.
00:46:55God Almighty says, "My verses have come to you."
00:46:58You forgot about them.
00:47:00You were forgotten again today.
00:47:03My verses have come to you.
00:47:04You ignored them.
00:47:07Today, right now, I was reciting our Prophet's description of a wise yet humble person.
00:47:11Now a wise person will hold himself accountable.
00:47:14What am I doing?
00:47:15So, where do I stand in relation to remembrance of God, in terms of my duties and responsibilities towards my Lord?
00:47:20How can I benefit from His mercy?
00:47:23He prepares for what happens after death.
00:47:25If the time allotted to me runs out today,
00:47:28What am I carrying in my hands, pockets, satchel, and bag when I go to stand before my Lord?
00:47:34We need to look into this.
00:47:35Yes.
00:47:36O helpless one, this is precisely the interpretation of the verse you mentioned.
00:47:40A weak, wretched person follows their own desires.
00:47:44He lives as he pleases.
00:47:46He lives according to his desires and wishes.
00:47:49He has followed his lust.
00:47:51It is not only wine that causes intoxication, Dursun Aleyhisselam.
00:47:55It is not alcohol.
00:47:56Lust can also intoxicate.
00:47:58Wealth can also intoxicate.
00:47:59Power can also intoxicate.
00:48:01Fame can also be intoxicating.
00:48:03A person becomes unaware of what they are doing.
00:48:05It really catches my attention.
00:48:06In Surah Al-Hijr,
00:48:08The angels first come to the house of Prophet Lot (peace be upon him) in the form of young, handsome men.
00:48:14Prophet Lot (peace be upon him) didn't recognize them, he really didn't know them as human beings, so he became uneasy and so on.
00:48:21The more aggressive ones are also surrounding the house.
00:48:24They're saying things like, "Give these to us," and so on.
00:48:27When describing this place, God uses a very interesting expression.
00:48:30He says,
00:48:31لَعَمْرُكَ اِنَّهُمْ لَف۪ي سَكْرَاتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
00:48:35O Prophet, I swear by you,
00:48:39I swear on my life that...
00:48:40Those savages, in their drunkenness and lustful frenzy, were staggering and rambling on.
00:48:48He's becoming unaware of what he's doing.
00:48:51Now, this is what helplessness is.
00:48:54So, God is the one who does it, anyway.
00:48:56He neither fulfills his duty
00:49:00And I pray to God for your protection.
00:49:01Then he begins to harbor certain delusions about God.
00:49:04God will forgive them anyway.
00:49:06God has mercy.
00:49:09Sir, so many sinners would fill hell; there wouldn't be any room left for me.
00:49:13Oh dear professor, it will burn for a few days, then we'll leave.
00:49:15Yes, that's true too, isn't it, sir?
00:49:16It's as if this is heading towards a kind of renaissance,
00:49:17right by the sea.
00:49:18That's what it says in the Quran.
00:49:20Yes, of course.
00:49:20I don't think so.
00:49:21But even if I did, I'd only go in for a day or two and then leave.
00:49:24That's my conclusion, of course.
00:49:26He says this as the attitude of the Israelites,
00:49:28They say the fire will only touch us for a few days.
00:49:32It will be touched in the coming days.
00:49:34Other than that, the fire will not touch us.
00:49:36That's how they say it.
00:49:38This is unnecessary compassion.
00:49:41In other words, it's a misunderstanding of compassion.
00:49:44Yes.
00:49:44It is an abuse of compassion.
00:49:46Here's what we have today:
00:49:48well,
00:49:50One side of the world is collapsing,
00:49:52Bombs are constantly raining down on the children.
00:49:55You look,
00:49:57They don't even make the news.
00:49:59A penguin turns around,
00:50:02Isn't he part of the herd, sir?
00:50:04A penguin or,
00:50:05rejected by his mother,
00:50:08a monkey news story,
00:50:10He's the one we're encountering these days,
00:50:13for days,
00:50:14You see the monkey that its mother rejected,
00:50:17cruel Zionist,
00:50:18bombed by the savage Zionist,
00:50:20killed
00:50:21because they murdered their mothers,
00:50:23deprived children,
00:50:25because they dropped bombs on them,
00:50:27babies whose hands and feet were severed,
00:50:29Why can't you see?
00:50:30Is such compassion possible?
00:50:33This is an abuse of compassion.
00:50:35Well,
00:50:36There was a cormorant for a while, you see,
00:50:39there was,
00:50:40There was a whale at one point,
00:50:41Every year it seems so humane,
00:50:43Very much, sir.
00:50:45thing,
00:50:45creatures,
00:50:47created beings,
00:50:47as if he/she loves him/her very much,
00:50:49cruelty inflicted on people,
00:50:51blind,
00:50:52a person's claim of compassion,
00:50:55That's a nonsensical claim.
00:50:56He only exploits compassion.
00:50:59What happened to the child,
00:51:01Sir,
00:51:02ignoring it,
00:51:04what happened to the cat and the dog,
00:51:06Sir,
00:51:07a form of giving more importance to something than the child,
00:51:09an understanding of compassion,
00:51:11mercilessness,
00:51:12reflection,
00:51:13or mercy,
00:51:14It's a misunderstanding.
00:51:16Therefore,
00:51:17ours,
00:51:18What does God Almighty want?
00:51:19however much value he/she gives,
00:51:21by valuing her so much,
00:51:23It is not valued.
00:51:24We need to try to live.
00:51:26Mercy is instilled by God.
00:51:28It is God who determines the measure of mercy.
00:51:31The Quran says,
00:51:32Before Allah and His Messenger,
00:51:34Don't pass by.
00:51:35لا تُقَدِّمُوا بَيْنَا اِدَيْلَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ
00:51:37Allah and His Messenger,
00:51:38in any matter,
00:51:39How,
00:51:40however much pity we need to show,
00:51:42We will feel so much pain.
00:51:44None of us is more merciful than God.
00:51:47Well,
00:51:48Erhamur Rahim's,
00:51:49those who show mercy,
00:51:50the most merciful,
00:51:51The mercy that God has not shown,
00:51:54we can show,
00:51:56If we claim that we can demonstrate this
00:51:58First of all, that would be disrespectful to the creator.
00:52:01And that compassion,
00:52:02when it gets in the way of justice,
00:52:04Actually, it's getting a new name.
00:52:06That's also oppression.
00:52:08Yes.
00:52:08Well,
00:52:09weekly,
00:52:10Our esteemed teachers told us,
00:52:11It reminds me of a verse from the Quran.
00:52:13Allah,
00:52:14because it commands justice,
00:52:16first one to arrive,
00:52:18It is an order for us,
00:52:20From God,
00:52:21we must be fair,
00:52:23It is the order in that direction.
00:52:24Yes.
00:52:25Well,
00:52:25this compassion,
00:52:27To keep it balanced,
00:52:29well,
00:52:29for example,
00:52:30you,
00:52:32your child,
00:52:33waking up for morning prayer
00:52:35regarding,
00:52:35at work,
00:52:37a mother who is not sensitive,
00:52:38or your father,
00:52:40You gave the example of compassion.
00:52:41Now,
00:52:42This,
00:52:43eternal life,
00:52:45yes,
00:52:45will transform it into a happy form,
00:52:48or,
00:52:48May God Almighty protect us.
00:52:50It will lead to eternal torment.
00:52:53Now,
00:52:53to show only compassion for this world,
00:52:56There is no real compassion.
00:52:59Of course.
00:52:59While she's raising her child.
00:53:00Of course,
00:53:01Now he,
00:53:01you know,
00:53:02Please don't forget your promise.
00:53:04He is famous,
00:53:05with that justice,
00:53:05relevant,
00:53:06you know,
00:53:06Mahzumoglu's,
00:53:07Yes,
00:53:08a woman belonging to,
00:53:09Her name is Fatma.
00:53:10He is also committing theft.
00:53:12a famous one,
00:53:12a prominent family,
00:53:15lineage,
00:53:16Sir,
00:53:16known,
00:53:17a famous one,
00:53:18Let's say a tribe,
00:53:20To our Prophet (peace be upon him),
00:53:21What if we could find someone?
00:53:23Even if we pull some strings for you,
00:53:24mediation,
00:53:25we this punishment,
00:53:26If we don't implement this thing,
00:53:27well,
00:53:27This won't work either.
00:53:29Well,
00:53:29He is rich.
00:53:30He is noble.
00:53:31Now,
00:53:31From his point of view,
00:53:32this woman,
00:53:33out of mercy,
00:53:34They say let's save them.
00:53:35Let's also look at it from the perspective of the Prophet Muhammad.
00:53:37Also,
00:53:38Our Prophet loved it very much.
00:53:39He loved her like his grandchildren
00:53:41loved like his own child
00:53:42They're doing something to Osama too.
00:53:44Osama bin Zayd,
00:53:45They are having the vehicle repaired.
00:53:46They say he won't break it.
00:53:47Osama's thing,
00:53:49title,
00:53:49Hebbul Habib,
00:53:50your friend,
00:53:51lover,
00:53:52like the lover of a lover,
00:53:53Such a meaning.
00:53:55Well,
00:53:55He loved his father very much too.
00:53:56as you know,
00:53:56Zayd too,
00:53:57Our Prophet (peace be upon him).
00:53:59Osama,
00:54:01coming,
00:54:02Of course, young man,
00:54:03He cannot appreciate it.
00:54:04The Prophet Muhammad,
00:54:05So,
00:54:06this much,
00:54:07instead of getting angry about this,
00:54:08so to speak,
00:54:10when he gets angry,
00:54:11Her cheeks would flush.
00:54:12Our Prophet, peace be upon him.
00:54:14Osama,
00:54:15this proposal,
00:54:16those tribal members,
00:54:17this proposal,
00:54:18When you conveyed it to him,
00:54:19Osama,
00:54:20God's,
00:54:21beyond their limits,
00:54:22a limit,
00:54:23to my application,
00:54:24Regarding,
00:54:25You are acting as an intermediary for me.
00:54:26he says.
00:54:27Honestly, no.
00:54:28sons of Mahzum,
00:54:29her daughter Fatma,
00:54:30your own daughter,
00:54:31Even if it's Fatma,
00:54:32I would cut off his hand.
00:54:33he says.
00:54:33He committed theft.
00:54:35The punishment in the Quran,
00:54:36I would apply it to him,
00:54:37he says.
00:54:38This,
00:54:38Is it heartlessness?
00:54:40No.
00:54:40This is compassion.
00:54:42Because we,
00:54:43Dursan Erdogan,
00:54:44To those who believe in eternal life.
00:54:46God Almighty says:
00:54:48كَاَلْنَهُمْ يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَهَا لَمْ يَلْبَثُوا اِلَّا عَشِيَتِنَا دُّهَا
00:54:51People are the apocalypse,
00:54:53When you see the afterlife,
00:54:54the time they spend in the world,
00:54:56one evening,
00:54:57Or it comes to them around midday.
00:55:00What we are experiencing right now,
00:55:01something we exaggerate a lot
00:55:03we have exaggerated it so much,
00:55:04what we thought would never end,
00:55:07This life,
00:55:08When we compare it to the afterlife,
00:55:10one evening,
00:55:11It is about the time of morning.
00:55:13During the period until evening,
00:55:16which will endanger our eternal life,
00:55:19We need to avoid mistakes.
00:55:22A day before God,
00:55:24What you've counted is like a thousand years,
00:55:26"That's what Almighty God says, O God, O God."
00:55:28Therefore, this is due to the relativity of time,
00:55:30He refers to and,
00:55:32every action we take is eternal,
00:55:36It certainly has an impact on the afterlife.
00:55:38Our perspective on the world,
00:55:41our conversation,
00:55:42of what we tasted,
00:55:42what we eat and drink,
00:55:44It certainly has repercussions in the afterlife.
00:55:46Because,
00:55:47each,
00:55:48is taken into consideration,
00:55:49It is being recorded.
00:55:52مَا يَرْفِذُ مِنْ قَوْلٍ
00:55:53اِلَّا لَيْدِهِ رَقِّبُنْ اَحْدِدِ
00:55:55If only one word comes out of a person's mouth,
00:55:57a guard who recorded that statement,
00:55:59There is definitely a lookout.
00:56:00"That's what Almighty God says, O God, O God."
00:56:02What we said,
00:56:03Sir,
00:56:04what we will face in the afterlife,
00:56:05that's what we eat,
00:56:07That's how we won.
00:56:08While living in this world,
00:56:11reflections in the afterlife
00:56:13our behaviors,
00:56:14their return to us there,
00:56:16We should try to live our lives without forgetting this.
00:56:19And we will be merciful on earth,
00:56:22May those in heaven have mercy on us.
00:56:25May He have mercy.
00:56:25Dear Professor,
00:56:26When the moment of judgment is described,
00:56:28when man falls silent and,
00:56:32While it was being described that his limbs had begun to speak,
00:56:36mankind,
00:56:37those limbs that speak against him,
00:56:40He says,
00:56:40I'm trying to save you,
00:56:43Why are you doing this?
00:56:45Now that day,
00:56:46Rather than telling our limbs this there,
00:56:48Today,
00:56:49while we have the opportunity,
00:56:51these limbs,
00:56:52out of compassion,
00:56:53by showing them mercy,
00:56:55To please God,
00:56:58We should use it.
00:56:59This is also an act of compassion.
00:57:01Dear Professor,
00:57:01Our beloved Prophet,
00:57:03peace and blessings be upon him,
00:57:04God Almighty,
00:57:06As a mercy to all creation,
00:57:09In other words, He states that He has bestowed mercy upon all creation.
00:57:12Now,
00:57:13Prophet Moses (peace be upon him),
00:57:16When speaking about God Almighty,
00:57:18To Pharaoh,
00:57:20When you say Lord of the worlds,
00:57:22Pharaoh says,
00:57:24What does "Lord of the worlds" mean?
00:57:26So one,
00:57:28for a person,
00:57:29that is, the Lord of mankind,
00:57:30Or the Lord of living beings,
00:57:32even if it had been said,
00:57:33That would have been enough for us.
00:57:34But Allah Almighty,
00:57:37of the worlds,
00:57:38He is talking about universes,
00:57:39As the Lord of the worlds,
00:57:41He is showcasing his power,
00:57:43He also presents our Prophet as a mercy to those worlds.
00:57:47So we,
00:57:48God Almighty,
00:57:49His being the Lord of the worlds,
00:57:51We're not at a point where we can comprehend it.
00:57:53How can we truly comprehend the fact that our Prophet is a mercy to all creation?
00:57:59Is it the beloved Prophet Muhammad who introduced us to the Quran?
00:58:03Yes,
00:58:04As you know, in the Holy Quran,
00:58:06There are three things that God calls mercy.
00:58:10One of them,
00:58:12It is the Holy Quran.
00:58:14وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْعَانِ مَا هُوَ شِفَا وَرَحْمَةِ
00:58:17We send down from the Qur'an that which is healing and mercy.
00:58:22The Quran is mercy.
00:58:23It is mercy.
00:58:24Because of its principles,
00:58:27to its principles,
00:58:28clinging to its rules,
00:58:31also the world of man,
00:58:33It also means saving the afterlife.
00:58:36That's what God says,
00:58:37When they call you to things that will give you life,
00:58:40He says, "Respond to Allah and His Messenger."
00:58:44Secondly,
00:58:45The Holy Quran,
00:58:46He also calls rain a blessing.
00:58:48In the stanza we just read,
00:58:50You are such a blessing,
00:58:52You are more generous than the clouds,
00:58:53The trees give off clouds,
00:58:55As the poet says, you smile,
00:58:57To our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
00:58:59When God Almighty was describing rain,
00:59:02rains, winds,
00:59:04kuşra, beyne yede-i rahmeti,
00:59:06the pioneer of His mercy,
00:59:08He sends him as a messenger, it says.
00:59:10The mercy he refers to is rain.
00:59:11Why?
00:59:12Because it rains,
00:59:14mercy be upon the precious land
00:59:15The earth comes alive.
00:59:17Just as,
00:59:18With verses from the Quran,
00:59:20as it came to life,
00:59:21darkness of ignorance,
00:59:22the darkness ends,
00:59:24as it turned into light.
00:59:26Us too,
00:59:27I will come to our Prophet,
00:59:29us too,
00:59:30the one that will bring it to life,
00:59:31on these blessed nights,
00:59:33in this blessed month,
00:59:34These are verses from the Quran.
00:59:36This,
00:59:37Wait, Professor Sener,
00:59:40We can't leave this unsaid,
00:59:41That seems appropriate.
00:59:43The Hadith Surah,
00:59:43It has 16 verses.
00:59:46He asks a question there.
00:59:47It's very striking.
00:59:49Abdullah ibn Masud said,
00:59:50our being Muslim,
00:59:52a few years ago,
00:59:53after,
00:59:54This verse says we were shaken.
00:59:56Now, like us,
00:59:58with secularization,
01:00:00with the world's preoccupations,
01:00:01their hearts are darkened,
01:00:02If it were to descend upon humans for the first time,
01:00:03we used to say,
01:00:04God is warning us.
01:00:05But the companions of the Prophet,
01:00:07more hypocrites in society,
01:00:09not very loud,
01:00:11This verse was revealed at a time when it was not visible.
01:00:12The verse I will read.
01:00:14The verse says,
01:00:15those who believe,
01:00:17their hearts devoted to the remembrance of Allah,
01:00:20and that which came down from God,
01:00:22Isn't it time for the revelation to soften?
01:00:27Before them,
01:00:28Let them not be like those who were given books.
01:00:30فَدَالَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْأَمَدُ فَقَسَتْ قُلُوبُهُمْ
01:00:33A long time has passed since those who were given the Book before them.
01:00:37They remained distant from revelation.
01:00:39far from the book,
01:00:40They stayed away from remembrance of God.
01:00:42Their hearts hardened.
01:00:45The reason for the lack of compassion is...
01:00:47It's a hard heart.
01:00:49A hard heart is the obstacle to compassion.
01:00:51And the verse,
01:00:53It begins with "those who believe," doesn't it, sir?
01:00:56Of course, that's a very good place.
01:00:56So, that means...
01:00:58We may have believed but our hearts haven't softened.
01:01:02Subject to,
01:01:02God forbid.
01:01:04So, when we talk about the Israelites again,
01:01:06فُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ
01:01:08فَيَّكَ الْحِجَارَةِ
01:01:09Your hearts have hardened,
01:01:11After saying it became like a rock,
01:01:13اَوْ اَشَتْتُ قَسْفَتْ
01:01:14he says.
01:01:14No, no,
01:01:15He says it's become even harder than stone.
01:01:17Because there are some kinds of stones that...
01:01:19scissile,
01:01:20It seeps into the eye from inside,
01:01:21This.
01:01:22There are some that,
01:01:23Rivers flow between them,
01:01:25There are some that,
01:01:26He says that out of fear of God, he tumbles down from above.
01:01:28God Almighty, the hardened heart,
01:01:31from revelation,
01:01:32that is, a heart that has distanced itself from the book and from remembrance of God,
01:01:35Sir,
01:01:37He describes it as worse than stone.
01:01:40And today, here...
01:01:42what has been done,
01:01:43well,
01:01:43alienating people,
01:01:46a person who does not see
01:01:47devaluing a person,
01:01:48dropping bombs on people,
01:01:50that which distances people from the truth
01:01:53That is to drop more psychological bombs.
01:01:55Those who become victims and prisoners of blind ideologies,
01:01:59by keeping the person occupied and occupied,
01:02:01That which distances one from God,
01:02:02all hearts,
01:02:05probably because it has solidified,
01:02:08They behave in this way.
01:02:10Dear Professor,
01:02:12Rain is mentioned as a blessing in the verse.
01:02:15Now,
01:02:16when it rains,
01:02:18such a pit,
01:02:20Water collects in places we call streams.
01:02:22May God grant mercy to the heart.
01:02:24When it rains again,
01:02:27Is it humility?
01:02:30He who keeps honor in his heart
01:02:33Is it about being humble?
01:02:35Or what are some things that can soften the heart?
01:02:39For example, our beloved Prophet,
01:02:42there is someone with you,
01:02:44Our Prophet loves his grandchildren.
01:02:46He says,
01:02:47O Messenger of Allah, do you love like this?
01:02:49I have 10,
01:02:51Or there are 8 or 9 of them,
01:02:52When I say I don't like any of them,
01:02:54If God has taken mercy out of your heart,
01:02:57He asks, "What can I do for you?"
01:02:59Yeah.
01:02:59We forgot to mention this,
01:03:01You reminded me well,
01:03:02May God bless you.
01:03:03O Messenger of Allah,
01:03:04"My heart has become very hardened," says one person.
01:03:07I feel my heart hardening.
01:03:10Then he says, "Stroke the orphan's head."
01:03:13He says, "Feed the fattir."
01:03:15Now,
01:03:16Have mercy!
01:03:18May you find mercy.
01:03:19From here,
01:03:20a little,
01:03:21We have little time left.
01:03:21There is an 8-minute gap.
01:03:238-9 minutes.
01:03:23From here,
01:03:24a little,
01:03:25If only we could learn lessons from this,
01:03:27If only.
01:03:28Well,
01:03:28exactly the things you mentioned,
01:03:30We're on time.
01:03:31We're on time.
01:03:32For example, this:
01:03:33The end of Ramadan,
01:03:34If we talk 3-4 days beforehand,
01:03:35It will be meaningless.
01:03:36Exactly.
01:03:37We have an opportunity before us,
01:03:38And this blessed month of Ramadan,
01:03:39He can offer this to us.
01:03:41Now,
01:03:41such mercy,
01:03:43There are examples that,
01:03:44Hallelujah,
01:03:46He is leaving,
01:03:46Here's every day,
01:03:47It is reflected.
01:03:47By getting these things reported as news,
01:03:49Introducing themselves,
01:03:50That's better.
01:03:51These friends of ours,
01:03:52reward,
01:03:52so that they may receive their reward from God.
01:03:54Nobody,
01:03:55He doesn't need to know.
01:03:56The one who closes the debt ledger,
01:03:58I only came across it yesterday.
01:03:59Yes.
01:03:59Like this,
01:04:00He spoke on the phone,
01:04:01lady,
01:04:02in tears,
01:04:03He expressed his gratitude.
01:04:05Into the envelope,
01:04:06a significant amount,
01:04:07by putting in money,
01:04:08previously identified
01:04:10Sir,
01:04:10leaving them in front of the doors,
01:04:12pressing the bell,
01:04:12without revealing itself,
01:04:14moving away from there,
01:04:16There are compassionate people.
01:04:18There are courageous people.
01:04:19Loving,
01:04:20compassion and,
01:04:21There are compassionate people.
01:04:22Ours,
01:04:23from here,
01:04:24Our Prophet (peace be upon him),
01:04:26Show mercy,
01:04:27May you have mercy on me.
01:04:30his recommendation,
01:04:30in order to fill it,
01:04:32Let's take a look around us.
01:04:34We may be going through difficult times.
01:04:35In the world,
01:04:36There are problems in many places.
01:04:38Sir,
01:04:40unable to pay the bill
01:04:41gas cut off,
01:04:43at his table,
01:04:44those who have difficulty finding a bowl of soup,
01:04:46bread weight is difficult,
01:04:49struggling to pay rent
01:04:50Even if we find a few people,
01:04:52Everyone is obligated to their surroundings.
01:04:54In a town,
01:04:55in a region
01:04:57wealthy,
01:04:58While there are people who have the means,
01:05:00If there are people who go hungry in the morning,
01:05:01God will remove the burden of responsibility from there.
01:05:03God will remove His protection from there.
01:05:06Pay attention to this warning.
01:05:08each of us to the apartment building where we live,
01:05:10to the neighborhood,
01:05:11to the street,
01:05:11looking at the street,
01:05:12if any,
01:05:14like that,
01:05:14To help them
01:05:17We need a campaign of compassion.
01:05:20Our Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him,
01:05:22He has fasted for 9 Ramadans.
01:05:24After fasting became obligatory,
01:05:26All nine of them,
01:05:28Sir,
01:05:29During his stay in Medina,
01:05:31He has spent the last 10 days there.
01:05:32As you know,
01:05:33in seclusion (itikaf).
01:05:34I'tikaf,
01:05:35By locking oneself in a mosque where five daily prayers are performed,
01:05:38until the evening of the holiday,
01:05:40through worship, through remembrance of God,
01:05:41through contemplation,
01:05:41With the Quran,
01:05:42to be engaged in prayer,
01:05:44It means cutting off contact with the outside world.
01:05:45One should not go outside except for ablution.
01:05:48The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him),
01:05:49changed the world,
01:05:52Abdullah bin Abbas,
01:05:53his uncle's son,
01:05:55to his prayer,
01:05:56special interest,
01:05:57the person being addressed,
01:05:58a young person
01:06:00Our Lord,
01:06:01after passing away to the eternal realm,
01:06:02in the mosque,
01:06:03He is observing i'tikaf (spiritual retreat) in the Prophet's Mosque.
01:06:05While in seclusion (itikaf),
01:06:06A person is coming to the place.
01:06:07A friend is coming,
01:06:09To the mosque for the prescribed prayers.
01:06:11The Prophet,
01:06:13Abdulahir ibn Abbas,
01:06:14Excuse me,
01:06:15When I saw him,
01:06:17He sees that,
01:06:18frowning,
01:06:19He seems upset.
01:06:20What's wrong with you, he asks?
01:06:21He says,
01:06:22I have debts,
01:06:24The time to pay my debt is also approaching.
01:06:26But I can't afford it.
01:06:28I paid my debt on time,
01:06:30because of inability to pay
01:06:32I'm devastated.
01:06:33He says he's getting sick.
01:06:34To whom do I owe money?
01:06:35I know him,
01:06:37Let me talk to him,
01:06:38He says to give you some time.
01:06:39Give you a little promise,
01:06:41by working and earning,
01:06:42You'll pay when you have the money.
01:06:44Or are you related to the Prophet's uncle?
01:06:46It won't hurt you,
01:06:48"It would be wonderful if you could talk," he says.
01:06:49But he was in seclusion at the time.
01:06:50this detail,
01:06:52Let's not forget him.
01:06:54Those who are in seclusion (itikaf),
01:06:55those whose i'tikaf (spiritual retreat) is not yet finished
01:06:57Abdullah Ibn Abbas,
01:06:58leaving the seclusion
01:06:59He is leaving the mosque.
01:07:01It's leaving,
01:07:03towards the creditor's house,
01:07:05He starts to walk.
01:07:06This debtor,
01:07:07He's shouting from behind.
01:07:08He says,
01:07:08You would leave after your seclusion was over.
01:07:10Your seclusion will be broken.
01:07:11Where are you going?
01:07:13Abdullah Ibn Abbas,
01:07:15He turns his face away.
01:07:18Our Prophet (peace be upon him),
01:07:20He points to his grave,
01:07:21with one hand.
01:07:22And he says,
01:07:24Honestly,
01:07:24I am the owner of this grave,
01:07:26I heard from Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) that...
01:07:30one of my brothers,
01:07:31to get the job done,
01:07:33I won't walk,
01:07:34I have a brother and I need to help him,
01:07:36in this mosque,
01:07:37It is better than spending ten years in seclusion.
01:07:40Gee.
01:07:41Now, like this,
01:07:42Look, show some mercy.
01:07:43Well.
01:07:44Look at the reflection of compassion!
01:07:46Compassion for the patient,
01:07:48Mr. Şefki,
01:07:49compassion for orphans
01:07:49compassion for the poor
01:07:50compassion for the poor
01:07:52The pile is meaningless.
01:07:53Honestly, it has no meaning.
01:07:55What we have accumulated,
01:07:56We'll just have to account for it, that's all.
01:07:57And besides, regarding this matter...
01:07:59to do something,
01:08:00Even just asking will be considered a prayer.

01:08:04I am for him,
01:08:05Dear Professor,
01:08:05Because I am facing you...
