00:05The Royals are the most talked-about family on the planet.
00:09There's not another family that has that kind of notoriety.
00:13They have to mind their P's and Q's wherever they are and be careful of what they say.
00:17But what if we could find out what they're saying when they think nobody is listening?
00:22William glances at Catherine and she says, stop arguing.
00:27To us, the Queen replies, let's stop this now. Of course I don't want you to suffer.
00:32In this programme, we will show the Royals as you've never seen them before.
00:36Andrew's saying all of this is not true. Absolutely not true.
00:42I've followed the Royal Family for many years and I've never had this kind of insight.
00:47Because a crack team of lip readers are scarring through the Royal Archives.
00:52It's like I'm listening through my eyes. My eyes are my ears.
00:56This is what they believe they're saying in their most unguarded moments.
01:00Meghan is very jealous and a scaremonger.
01:03They will be lifting the lid on the pomp and ceremony.
01:07And then Charles, half joking, says, what if you're nude?
01:12It's nice that they're actually laughing on the balcony because it's a very difficult thing to do the balcony appearance.
01:17William continues by saying, everyone seems to be having a jolly time. Celebrate it with us.
01:22Now we've got the words to go along with this. Wow, does it come alive?
01:26These insights are unprecedented. We didn't know any of this before the lip readers told us.
01:31This is the Royals as you've never heard them before.
01:44Fan favourite Prince William is our most popular and dependable Royal.
01:50People love William.
01:52There's a great deal of respect internationally for Prince William.
01:58He consistently ranks as the most popular member of the British Royal Family.
02:04And in a recent YouGov poll, 77% of us Brits hold a favourable view of him.
02:11His wife, Princess Catherine, is much loved too.
02:16Well, without a doubt, they are the most popular members of the Royal Family.
02:19In fact, Catherine, I think, recently topped a poll as being the most popular member of the Royal Family,
02:25which is, you know, quite a burden for her to bear.
02:29They absolutely are adored all over the world.
02:33I think, in a way, Catherine has the kind of adoration that Diana used to evoke.
02:40I haven't met a single person during the time that I was there and since I've left
02:45that has anything negative to say about them.
02:51They are the Royal Family's dependable power couple.
02:55And they will be key to ensuring the relevance of the firm in decades to come.
03:02I think that William, our future king, has been instrumental in securing the future of the Royal Family.
03:11You know, the Royal Family is changing and they are becoming, definitely becoming more emotional
03:17and very much the hearts are on their sleeves, which is not a bad thing.
03:21And that's why I think the Royal Family has a future and will survive.
03:29Their children, 12-year-old Prince George, 10-year-old Princess Charlotte and 7-year-old Prince Louis,
03:37are considered major assets to the British monarchy and everyone loves them.
03:45Yes, there will be ups and downs in terms of its popularity.
03:48That is human nature.
03:50One minute they'll like them, the next minute they won't.
03:52The succession is assured with William in the fullness of time.
03:56He will be succeeded by George in the fullness of time.
04:04William and Catherine understand the importance of the Royal Family and how key they and their children are to the
04:11future.
04:13They're showing us, they're hands-on parents.
04:16They're not leaving it to nannies to go and educate and engage the children.
04:20They're aware it's their job to do and we're seeing a warm, close family unit.
04:24Today you see parents disconnected with their children.
04:27They talk to their children. So many parents don't talk to their children
04:31because kids today are so busy looking down at their telephones.
04:34They're hardly able to speak English properly or let alone write it, which is important to them.
04:40Well, dare I say they look like a normal family.
04:42I know they've got the world's press on them and they're having to wave and do all of that,
04:45but they actually just look as normal as a Royal Family can look.
04:50This is our first in-depth look at conversations they're having in plain sight,
04:55which we knew nothing about until now.
04:58And our lit readers have been analysing the Platinum Jubilee pageant 2022
05:03and reveal what they believe is why everyone loves the Waleses and their brood.
05:14So I've got a really interesting clip here of the Royal Family out there,
05:18Platinum Jubilee pageant in 2022.
05:21There's a series of exchanges happening here between the Royal Family
05:24that eventually lead to Louis sitting on King Charles' lap.
05:30So initial exchange here between Camilla and William where she appears to be saying
05:34Charles seems to be really enjoying himself,
05:36which prompts William to call over to Kate and Louis
05:39to ask if he wants to go and sit with Grandpa.
05:42Kate is just repeating that back to him.
05:45William is saying, yeah, you're okay with that.
05:48Louis starts to walk over.
05:49William has just given Charles a heads up on that.
05:51And everyone seems to be really happy with the outcome.
05:57But that's what makes Louis the most special child in the Royal Family right now.
06:01Every family has to have someone that's a little bit naughty that we kind of enjoy.
06:05We enjoyed that about Harry when he was little and now we're enjoying it with Louis.
06:10The Brits do love a royal event.
06:12I mean, you take the Platinum Jubilee.
06:15There were people from the Palace Railings all the way back to Admiralty Arch,
06:19which is Trafalgar Square, along the Mall, which is about half a mile long,
06:24just jam-packed with people.
06:26We love it day out.
06:27We love to party.
06:28And the Jubilee is all of that, with people able to celebrate him.
06:35He is a very playful character, yet somehow that kind of works in the Royal Family.
06:41You need that energy to keep people entertained.
06:46So in some ways, and I think that the Wales have always done this for Charles,
06:51they've helped broaden his appeal.
06:59So this is adorable, and it shows, I think, what any family out there would appreciate
07:05is sort of what grandparents are there for.
07:09So all the family are gathered together, they're watching the Platinum Jubilee concert,
07:14and Prince Louis got ants in his pants, won't sit still,
07:18and of course his parents, William and Kate, are trying to amuse him.
07:23Then Camilla pipes up, Charles seems to be really enjoying himself.
07:30Almost, maybe, as a hint to say, there's someone over there who might not mind taking the load
07:38when it comes to Louis.
07:40Quick as a flash, Louis is dumped on Charles' lap.
07:45Literally, there you go, you can deal with him, and that's what he does.
07:56But it really worked for the cameras, it worked for the tabloid moment,
07:59and it served rather wonderfully Charles.
08:03It cast him in a softer light, and I think that's what Charles is always longing to be cast in,
08:08this more lovable light.
08:09There is a side of Charles that is affectionate and does care,
08:13and we see that in that moment.
08:18Louis has garnered a reputation as a cheeky and charming young royal,
08:22and the lovable rogue's public antics have made him a crowd favourite with us Brits and the world alike.
08:34Eager to catch a glimpse of their favourite royals,
08:36the Christmas Day church service is a popular event for loyal royalists.
08:44It's December 2023, and Louis is centre stage again.
08:50So it's Christmas 2023, and the royal family are about to leave Sandringham Church,
08:56and Charles, bleeding the way, he speaks to the priest, and he says,
09:03Oh, I thought it was slightly rude.
09:05To which the priest replied, Oh, absolutely.
09:10And then the king lets out a little laugh,
09:13and says, There's no excuse to have an outburst.
09:17To which the priest replies, It's not acceptable.
09:22However, the timing was wrong.
09:24I pray you all have a happy Christmas, and a good new year.
09:31Oh, I wonder what Louis did.
09:33He's only little.
09:34He's only a little kid, and, you know, he's in a service,
09:38and all kids get irritated during a service,
09:41and he might have done something a bit silly.
09:43And I guess, I guess King Charles is trying to kind of either apologise,
09:47or defuse, or whatever he needs to do.
09:49But that's what grandpas do, and that's what little boys do.
09:55They have staff right, left, and centre.
09:57They have valets.
09:58They have nannies.
10:00They have everything they could possibly need.
10:02But it doesn't stop little Louis playing up.
10:06Now, that boy is incredibly sweet.
10:09Maybe Louis was being Louis.
10:11Louis is a character all by himself,
10:15and it could have been, you know, to take a young one to his service.
10:19By Charles' response, he wasn't angry.
10:23So he was prepared to let it go.
10:27However much we think that the royal family are overly privileged
10:31and have a stress-free life,
10:34we're brought back to Earth with this clip,
10:37as the lit-readers have revealed that they've got the same trials and tribulations
10:40as any family that have small children
10:44who are trying to get through an important and quiet event.
10:51Not many of us, though, have a big crowd and the world's press looking on.
10:56But William and Catherine prove why they are the nation's favourite royals,
11:01as they handle the situation with grace.
11:08As Catherine and William come out of the church with their children,
11:13and they're following Charles to the gate,
11:16William turns to George, answering George's question,
11:20of course I'm annoyed.
11:22He was very destructive.
11:24Later on, when the priest was speaking to William,
11:28William says that he was noisy.
11:30And then he turned to Louis and saying,
11:33were you trying to be naughty?
11:35As if the child's going to say, yeah, yeah, I did it.
11:38He's going to be like, what's the big deal?
11:40So what?
11:41And he would probably listen, and then two minutes later do it again.
11:45Because that's kind of him, that's his personality that's really funny.
11:50He was probably messing about and being a bit noisy,
11:53as most kids are.
11:56But, yeah, I think it's actually a very sweet moment.
12:00And hopefully they'll forgive Louis.
12:03Louis was obviously being Louis.
12:06Louis will always be Louis.
12:08Maybe a little bit of his uncle's temperament, I hope not.
12:11But Louis was being Louis.
12:14And he was living up to his age.
12:20Coming up.
12:22The king reacts to some devastating news.
12:25Charles is quite visibly emotional at this point.
12:28And he said, it's hard knowing that life is going to be different.
12:31And a disgraced Andrew makes a shocking request to the future king.
12:37And Andrew continued,
12:39I've learned from what I've done.
12:41But before I forget, I'd like to ask you if you can forgive.
12:55The royals are tied to our national identity.
13:00When people think of the United Kingdom,
13:02one of the things that I think gives them real joy
13:05is our royal family,
13:07especially the late Queen Elizabeth.
13:12We hang on their every word.
13:15And now our lip readers are going to tell us what they believe is being said
13:19and reveal a whole new side to the royals.
13:24I believe that Keir says to William,
13:28it's not easy for him right now.
13:30We all love Easter.
13:32And that's what we're now going to be doing
13:34with some of the most important people in the world.
13:37That's why these insights are going to be so explosive.
13:45Catherine has been part of the royal fold for over 20 years now.
13:52Kate is the embodiment,
13:54although she wouldn't want anyone to say that
13:57because, you know, she's her own person,
13:59but she is the embodiment of Diana.
14:01People love her as much.
14:03Princess Catherine is known for her dedication to royal duties,
14:08mental health advocacy,
14:09and providing strong support to her family behind the scenes.
14:17Catherine is incredibly supportive
14:18of the institution
14:19as our next look at the royals shows.
14:24Our lip readers have dissected this conversation
14:27she had with Sophie Wessex
14:28at the Garter Day in 2022.
14:39Kate then says,
14:40I couldn't believe it, twice in six months.
14:43Sophie then says,
14:45can we go easy a little bit and advise her?
14:49Kate then says,
14:50no, William.
14:51To which Sophie replies,
14:53no, you need to be more influential.
14:56Sophie then says,
14:57she clearly needs us to be here for her.
15:00Kate then immediately replied with yes.
15:03To which Sophie says,
15:04no pressure.
15:05We are the only girls she sees.
15:07We owe them that.
15:09But this conversation is so interesting.
15:12It's just two women having a bit of a gossip.
15:15She needs that support.
15:16That's actually a very heartfelt, heartfelt moment.
15:19The lip readers have dissected a conversation here
15:22between Princess Catherine and the now Duchess of Edinburgh,
15:27which is really interesting.
15:30Who is it that they're talking about?
15:33They talk about this person needing to be influenced,
15:36needing to be helped.
15:41In February 2024,
15:44it was announced that King Charles had cancer,
15:46and no doubt Catherine and William would have provided much needed support.
15:52Cancer diagnosis of King Charles was an absolute shock to everyone.
15:57And also in the fairy tale of royal life,
16:02where this man had waited to ascend to the throne for decades,
16:08and then to get that job,
16:10and to find out that he's actually fighting cancer,
16:13is just such a cruel twist of fate.
16:16If you know somebody who is suffering from a cancer and receiving treatment,
16:22you would be concerned for them.
16:26But in March 2024,
16:29Princess Catherine announced her own diagnosis,
16:32and it was she who needed support.
16:37And then just when we thought we'd heard everything with the king,
16:41of course, with his diagnosis,
16:42we then discover that Princess Catherine,
16:46the future queen, herself diagnosed.
16:50Two of the most senior members of the royal family,
16:54those whom the future of the royal family is in their hands,
16:58both facing a cancer battle.
17:03Here we had another senior member of the family,
17:06also now having cancer.
17:07There was concern there because William's day will come.
17:12And I think probably what might well have been running through Charles's mind
17:17is we'll be Catherine there to support him.
17:24The king returned to royal duties on 30 April 2024,
17:29and in June he was at the Trooping of the Colour.
17:32But a notable change was that he was in a carriage and not on horseback.
17:39This must have been an incredibly difficult day for King Charles,
17:42where the battle that he's facing against cancer would have really hit home,
17:48because, of course, normally he would be riding himself on a horse,
17:51but this time he was in a state carriage.
17:55And now our lipreaders can reveal
17:57what they believe was being said inside the state carriage
18:01when Charles and Camilla were alone.
18:07Camilla says,
18:08I feel like you.
18:09I might be being brought here,
18:10but perhaps you should ask her.
18:12Charles then replies with,
18:13I don't know,
18:14why am I feeling emotional?
18:16They will have to do it someday.
18:19To which Camilla responds,
18:21you know, Charlie,
18:22it's the best thing.
18:23Come on, Charlie.
18:24We need to be strong for her.
18:25Charles is quite visibly emotional at this point,
18:28and he said it's hard knowing that life is going to be different.
18:31He continues to say,
18:32here we are doing the grand finale,
18:34and she is suffering.
18:36Devastating.
18:38Camilla responds with,
18:40how do we support them is important?
18:42And Charles replied to say,
18:43of course.
18:45We see quite a reflective conversation here.
18:48There's no anger,
18:48there's no grumpiness.
18:50Looks more like pain to me,
18:51and that could be emotional pain rather than physical pain.
18:54There's no tenseness in their body,
18:56and their body language.
18:58But there is quite a seriousness about this conversation.
19:02But very difficult to come to terms with that,
19:04and which is probably why he was emotional on that particular day.
19:08Here he was riding in a carriage to a troop in the colour,
19:12where he was taking the salute.
19:14One day, William will do it.
19:15Charles had Camilla beside him.
19:18Will William have Catherine beside him?
19:20And that was probably what was running through his head.
19:29One person with cancer is hard enough in a family,
19:31but you double that up,
19:32and it shows that there is love there,
19:35there is care there,
19:36there's worry there as parents.
19:39For how different life might be,
19:42you know,
19:42or end up being.
19:43That's actually a really poignant
19:45kind of moment between the two of them,
19:47and talking about the practicalities of what's coming up.
19:50But the fact that he's emotional,
19:52you know,
19:52wipes a tear from under his eye.
19:55That's actually beautiful to see.
19:57This is an incredibly emotional conversation
19:59that is now taking place
20:01between the king and his wife,
20:03Queen Camilla,
20:04where he acknowledges,
20:07essentially that Prince William and his wife,
20:11Princess Catherine,
20:12will have to do this themselves one day.
20:15And then he gets really quite tearful,
20:19it looks like,
20:19which perhaps is bringing home the fact
20:22that Princess Catherine at that point
20:24is incredibly ill,
20:26fighting cancer herself.
20:28He actually looks like he's been crying,
20:31his eyes are red,
20:32it looks really emotional,
20:34and it's really affecting him.
20:35So he's obviously close to Catherine,
20:37they both are,
20:39they both obviously love her,
20:41and they're worried.
20:51Our selfless king continued
20:53to balance official duties
20:55with cancer treatment,
20:57with his daughter-in-law, Catherine,
20:59stepping back from the spotlight
21:01due to ill health.
21:04This meant much of the official duty
21:06fell to the next in line to the throne,
21:08his son, Prince William.
21:13We have a king-in-waiting in William
21:16who is a monarchist,
21:19and he's sincere about the monarchy.
21:21He is sincere about the role
21:24that he plays in the monarchy today,
21:26and he's looking ahead
21:28to the role that he will play
21:30in the institution in the future.
21:32Not only is he the future,
21:34but also I believe he's the backbone
21:37to his father's reign as well,
21:39taking on some of the responsibilities
21:41of his father during his cancer fight.
21:47William remains a calm and steady presence
21:50during a time of great personal stress,
21:53and he shows the monarchy
21:54is safe in his hands.
21:59But his personal burdens
22:01are never far away
22:02from his official duties.
22:04At a VE Day 80th Thanksgiving service,
22:07William and Prime Minister Keir Starmer
22:09are filmed together,
22:10and now our lipreaders can reveal
22:13what they believe was said.
22:21I believe that Keir says to William,
22:24it's not easy for him right now,
22:26and William goes on to say,
22:29quite openly,
22:30he feels it very hard,
22:32especially when he aches.
22:36Keir says he has to ensure
22:39that he continues with his treatment,
22:41to which William replies,
22:43yes, and Keir goes on to say,
22:46with all of the tablets and treatment,
22:49he's going through a lot.
22:52I can't believe it,
22:54and again, this is something we didn't know.
22:56We knew that King Charles
22:58was having this treatment,
22:59but we've never really had a gauge publicly
23:01of how the treatment's going.
23:03Well, it's admiration
23:05from the Prime Minister of Charles
23:09having been diagnosed with cancer
23:11at the beginning of 2024,
23:13still undergoing treatment,
23:15weekly treatment,
23:16and carrying out the engagements
23:18that he was carrying out.
23:21He never lets up.
23:22He was always a bit of a workaholic.
23:28The King continued to receive weekly sessions
23:31as an outpatient,
23:32and it was believed in March 2025
23:34that he was briefly hospitalised for observation
23:37following temporary side effects
23:40from his ongoing treatment.
23:44But he carries out more and more
23:46public engagements throughout the year
23:48as he works towards full health.
23:55And in fact, in 2025,
23:57he did the most engagements
23:59out of all the royal family.
24:00He was always sort of lying second
24:02to his sister, Princess Anne.
24:04But for the first time,
24:05he did the most.
24:07He does his job,
24:08he wants to do his job,
24:09and he wants to do the job
24:10for as long as possible.
24:15Coming up...
24:17The royal family faced the fallout
24:20of a disgraced Andrew's actions.
24:22And Andrew continued,
24:24I've learnt from what I've done.
24:27And then William replies to her and say,
24:30Do you think I deserve that?
24:32Is that what you mean?
24:35And what does the future hold
24:37for Beatrice and Eugenie?
24:39And then Beatrice says,
24:41It's a really anxious time.
24:51The royals are the most followed family
24:54in the world,
24:55and we Brits can't get enough of them.
24:58If you don't like them,
24:59you're in trouble,
24:59don't move to England.
25:00There is a love for them
25:02that is so intense,
25:04you kind of want them to succeed.
25:08Now a team of forensic lipreaders
25:10are going to try to find out
25:12what they believe is being said
25:13when they have public conversations
25:15we couldn't hear.
25:20I believe that Keir says
25:22he has to ensure
25:24that he continues with his treatment,
25:27to which William replies,
25:29Yes.
25:36Prince Andrew is the royal outcast,
25:39and is clearly the most unpopular royal,
25:42trailing well behind Meghan and Harry.
25:44An unsurprising 87% of us
25:47hold a negative view of him.
25:51In August of 2019,
25:53he experienced a rapid fall from grace.
25:56A photo of Prince Andrew,
25:58with his arm wrapped around
25:59a 17-year-old Virginia Dufresne,
26:02first making headlines in 2011,
26:04just didn't go away,
26:06and further revelations in a defamation case
26:09only made matters worse for him.
26:15Andrew handled the public scrutiny
26:18on his issues
26:19in the most arrogant
26:21and cack-handed way
26:24you could possibly imagine.
26:27Unfortunately,
26:28Andrew thought that he was
26:30far more intelligent
26:31than he actually is,
26:32and his arrogance
26:34really, really shone through.
26:37Andrew is not relatable
26:40the way that King Charles is.
26:42Obviously,
26:42when you hear things
26:43about the character of someone,
26:45it just puts you off them.
26:47Everything about Andrew
26:48feels sneaky and wrong,
26:50and that's why
26:51you can't relate
26:51to someone like that.
27:02with the scrutiny intensifying.
27:04Prince Andrew was pictured
27:06with top lawyer
27:06and reputation management expert
27:08Paul Tweed,
27:09whilst on official duties
27:11at a golf tournament.
27:15Although Tweed allegedly met Andrew
27:17as a friend
27:18and not an advisor.
27:23His reputation
27:25was fast declining
27:27at this point.
27:28His reputation
27:29was in shatters,
27:31so something
27:32had to be done,
27:34and I think it really
27:35just goes to show
27:36that he still wanted
27:38to hold on
27:39to that life raft
27:41of being a prince.
27:49No one else knows
27:50what was said
27:50in their meeting
27:51until now.
27:53Our lipreaders
27:54have been analysing
27:55their conversation
27:56and, in a world exclusive,
27:58can reveal
27:59what they believe
28:00was being discussed.
28:02At this point,
28:04I can see that Andrew
28:05is becoming
28:07increasingly emphatic.
28:08He wants answered now.
28:10I believe he then says
28:12there has to be
28:13a way around this.
28:14Andrew goes on to say
28:15how would I get
28:16from here
28:17to my house?
28:19He finishes off
28:20by saying
28:21all of this
28:22is not true,
28:23absolutely not true.
28:25It didn't happen.
28:30Andrew's body language
28:31in this clip,
28:32he looks quite intent
28:33on what he's got to say.
28:34Is it a performance though?
28:36Is he playing
28:37for the cameras?
28:38His body language
28:39looks quite exaggerated
28:41when he does that.
28:42It's a really large movement,
28:45making sure
28:46perhaps whoever is watching
28:47captures that on film.
28:49Clearly they're hatching
28:50a plan
28:51to go somewhere.
28:52That's clearly
28:53some obstacle
28:54when it comes
28:55to the meeting.
28:56How would I get
28:57from there
28:58to my house?
28:59So,
29:00I think that this is
29:01brokering
29:02some sort of
29:03high-level meeting.
29:05He's clearly worried
29:06that whatever plan
29:07they're hatching
29:08cannot be known
29:09by anyone,
29:10which is why
29:10the lip readers
29:11revealing this
29:12is so explosive.
29:16In November 2019,
29:18three months after
29:19his meeting with Tweed,
29:21Andrew took part
29:22in a quite remarkable
29:23Newsnight interview
29:24with Emily Maitlis.
29:36the then Prince Andrew,
29:39now Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor,
29:41him making excuses
29:43for his friendship
29:44with pedophile
29:45and sex trafficker
29:46Jeffrey Epstein,
29:48not appearing
29:49to empathize
29:50with the women
29:51who suffered
29:52as a result
29:53of his antics
29:54and not appearing
29:56to apologize.
30:00Then,
30:01at the beginning
30:01of 2022,
30:02the Queen stripped
30:03her son of a range
30:04of military affiliations
30:06and royal patronages.
30:10A month later,
30:11Prince Andrew
30:12reached a financial
30:13settlement with Dufres,
30:14which was allegedly
30:16paid for partly
30:17by his mother.
30:22The disaster
30:23of the Newsnight interview,
30:25the disaster
30:26of Andrew's strategy
30:28to try and deal
30:29with his friendship
30:30with Jeffrey Epstein
30:32culminated
30:33in the Queen
30:34having to contribute
30:35to Andrew
30:36paying Virginia Gouffray,
30:38it's reported,
30:39around 12 million pounds.
30:42Parents will understand
30:43that.
30:44They might not agree
30:45with it,
30:45but faced with
30:47the same situation.
30:48Most parents
30:49would probably
30:49do the same.
30:52The attention
30:53of the press
30:54was never far away
30:55for Prince Andrew,
30:57as public opinion
30:58of him plummeted.
31:01In September 2025,
31:04the death
31:04of the Duchess of Kent
31:05saw most of the key royals
31:07attend her funeral,
31:09including Prince Andrew.
31:12The shock
31:13at his appearance
31:13sent the world's media
31:15into overdrive,
31:16and there was much speculation
31:17as to what was said.
31:21And now our lip readers
31:22have analysed
31:23their conversations
31:24and can exclusively
31:26reveal their insights.
31:35and Andrew says,
31:37good afternoon,
31:39William and Catherine,
31:40how are you?
31:41And Catherine responds
31:42by saying,
31:43good, thank you.
31:44At this point,
31:46William looks a little bit uneasy
31:47before saying to Andrew,
31:50what can I do for you?
31:51And Andrew's response
31:53to William is,
31:54we're really closing together.
31:57And William gives
31:58a simple response,
32:00yeah.
32:00And Andrew continues,
32:02I've learnt
32:03from what I've done,
32:04but before I forget,
32:06and if I can,
32:07I'd like to ask you
32:08if you can forgive.
32:12So we see Andrew
32:13come over
32:14to chat to William
32:14and Kate.
32:16William looks
32:16extremely uncomfortable.
32:18I think his body language
32:20is screaming,
32:21get away from me.
32:22I do not want
32:23to be photographed,
32:24particularly not engaging
32:25with you.
32:27It's a masterclass,
32:28actually.
32:29It is a masterclass
32:30in subtly telling someone
32:33to get the hell away
32:34from me
32:34without telling them.
32:36William's face
32:37said everything,
32:37you know,
32:38I don't want to converse
32:39and you push off.
32:41And I think Andrew
32:42probably got the message.
32:43He was just
32:44the wrong person
32:46to be there
32:47in a family group
32:48because while he might
32:50be family,
32:51he's not accepted
32:52as in the family group.
32:55With the fact
32:56that he's trying
32:57to not so much
32:58apologize,
32:59but already gauge
33:00forgiveness at this point
33:01for whatever it is
33:02that he's done
33:02is really interesting.
33:04And to do it
33:05so publicly,
33:06the fact that they know
33:06there are cameras on them,
33:08it's really dangerous
33:10what he's doing.
33:10But this might be
33:11the only opportunity
33:12of time he can snatch.
33:14Imagine you're
33:15in Prince Andrew's position
33:17and you think,
33:17right, the strategy is
33:19I'm going to go
33:20to a family funeral
33:21and I'm going
33:22to corner
33:24the future king
33:25and reference
33:26my friendship
33:27with a pedophile
33:28to him
33:29and could he
33:30forgive me, please?
33:32On the steps
33:33of the funeral
33:34in front of
33:35the whole world's media.
33:36It's arrogance.
33:37I've said he's
33:38a very stupid man,
33:39but the arrogance,
33:40the stupidity,
33:40the entitlement,
33:41the audacity
33:44is,
33:45it's absolutely,
33:46it's mind-boggling,
33:48it's mind-blowing,
33:49but also,
33:49I suppose,
33:50not surprising
33:51with what we know
33:51about him.
33:52I remember this
33:53on social media
33:54at the time
33:54that this actually happened
33:55and I remember thinking,
33:56actually, William,
33:57that's really uncomfortable.
33:58To now be able
33:59to know
34:00what was actually being
34:01said by Andrew
34:02in that moment
34:03is gold dust.
34:08With Andrew
34:09now appearing
34:10to get the message
34:11that Prince William
34:11doesn't want to talk,
34:13Catherine steps in
34:14to have a debrief
34:15with her husband
34:16and our lip-readers
34:17can reveal
34:18what they believe
34:19was said.
34:22Andrew
34:23has left the scene
34:24and William
34:25and Catherine
34:26are waiting
34:27for their cars
34:28to arrive.
34:29She says
34:29he seems very sorry
34:31and I think
34:32she's referencing
34:33Andrew
34:34on the past
34:35conversation
34:35that they were
34:37talking about
34:37a few minutes ago
34:39and then William
34:40replies to her
34:41and say
34:42do you think
34:43I deserve that?
34:45Is that what you mean?
34:46And then Catherine
34:47again saying
34:48he seemed very sorry.
34:52William is obviously
34:53stewing over
34:53what's just happened
34:54with Andrew
34:55and leans into Kate
34:57and said
34:57do you think
34:58I deserve that?
34:59He's genuinely
35:00interested in her response.
35:02He leans in,
35:03he leans down
35:03towards her
35:04to make sure
35:04he captures
35:05what she says.
35:06And then Princess Catherine
35:07again
35:07the kind soul
35:09she is
35:09trying to diffuse
35:10the situation
35:11he did seem
35:12sorry.
35:14He might have
35:14seemed sorry
35:16Princess Catherine
35:17but those words
35:18did not leave
35:19his mouth.
35:20He didn't actually
35:21say sorry
35:22did he?
35:23Until such time
35:24he does
35:25admit
35:25and confess
35:27they're not going to
35:27harbour any relationship
35:29with him at all.
35:29There is no such thing
35:30as an honest broker
35:31in that sort of
35:32circumstance.
35:33William did
35:34absolutely right
35:35in ignoring
35:36without appearing
35:37to be rude.
35:38It is absolutely
35:40amazing
35:41that this is being
35:42said so publicly
35:43that we're finding
35:44out this level
35:45of detail
35:46of the family's
35:47animosity
35:48towards Prince Andrew
35:49and how they are
35:50essentially openly
35:51acknowledging to each
35:52other that being
35:53seen with him
35:54is disastrous
35:56for the future
35:56of the monarchy.
35:58Coming up
36:02Andrew's daughters
36:03stage a make
36:04or break
36:04meeting.
36:05He isn't going
36:06to play
36:07by the rules
36:07and we need
36:08to be out
36:09of the way
36:09genie.
36:18The royals
36:19have captivated
36:20the British public
36:21for years.
36:22We hang
36:22on their
36:23every word.
36:25And now
36:26our skilled listeners
36:27are going to tell us
36:28what they believe
36:29is being said
36:29when we can't
36:30hear them
36:31and reveal
36:32a whole new
36:33side to the royals.
36:37I do believe
36:38the lipreaders
36:38are giving us
36:39fresh insight
36:40into the royals.
36:44The disgraced
36:45Prince Andrew
36:46has never been far
36:47from the headlines
36:48in recent years.
36:50The allegations
36:51against him
36:52have been
36:52particularly hard
36:53on his daughters
36:55Beatrice
36:55and Eugenie.
36:59With pressure
37:00mounting on
37:00their father
37:01if they're
37:02to play a part
37:02in the future
37:03of the royals
37:04they are going
37:04to have to
37:05navigate
37:05carrying out
37:06their duty
37:06without their
37:07parents.
37:10There's not
37:10much they can
37:11do about it.
37:12Their parents
37:12have dug a pit
37:13and jumped
37:13into it
37:14and they're
37:14finding it
37:14very difficult
37:15to cope
37:16with everything
37:17that is coming
37:18out.
37:18I think
37:19the question
37:20for them
37:20will be
37:21what will
37:21be the future
37:22relationship
37:22with their
37:24father
37:24and how
37:25public
37:25will that
37:26be?
37:27And it's
37:28about balancing
37:29that with
37:29their royal
37:30role,
37:30their royal
37:31duty.
37:33With scrutiny
37:34at fever pitch
37:35on the 6th
37:37of November
37:372025
37:38King Charles
37:39stripped his
37:40brother of all
37:41his remaining
37:41titles
37:43and he became
37:44known as
37:44Andrew Mountbatten
37:46Windsor.
37:49By the end
37:50of 2025
37:51his daughters
37:52Beatrice
37:53and Eugenie
37:54held moderate
37:55popularity
37:55amongst we
37:56Brits
37:56with 40%
37:57of us
37:58having a
37:58positive
37:59view of
37:59them.
38:01And in a
38:02make or break
38:03meeting on
38:03the streets
38:04of Mayfair
38:04our lip
38:05readers were
38:06able to
38:06dissect
38:07their
38:07conversation
38:07and reveal
38:08what they
38:09believe
38:09was being
38:10said.
38:14Beatrice
38:16starts off
38:17by saying
38:17we will
38:18ride the
38:19storm
38:19and Beatrice
38:20goes on
38:21to say
38:22I'm feeling
38:22angry
38:23but we
38:24must not
38:24add to
38:25it.
38:26You are
38:26going to
38:27need to
38:27be out
38:28of the
38:28country.
38:29He isn't
38:30going to
38:30play by
38:31the rules
38:31and we
38:32need to
38:32be out
38:33of the
38:33way
38:33Jeannie.
38:34And Beatrice
38:35goes on
38:35to say
38:36why do you
38:36think he
38:37isn't
38:37staying at
38:38Sandringham?
38:40Well
38:41Andrew's
38:41never played
38:42by the
38:42rules.
38:43They're
38:43caught up
38:43in this
38:44web
38:44because
38:44they
38:44happen
38:45to be
38:45the
38:45daughters
38:46of
38:47Andrew
38:47and
38:47Fergie
38:48who have
38:49let them
38:49down
38:50big time.
38:52So riding
38:52the storm
38:53is their
38:54way of
38:54saying that
38:55we've got to
38:56step back
38:57and they're
38:58on their
38:59own.
38:59This is
39:00incredible
39:01from the
39:01lip readers
39:02managing to
39:03decipher
39:04these two
39:05people who
39:06are collateral
39:06damage
39:07of what
39:08Prince
39:09Andrew
39:09is accused
39:10of doing
39:11and the
39:11disgrace
39:11that he's
39:12brought on
39:12to the
39:13family.
39:14To find
39:14out that
39:14your father's
39:15been involved
39:16in something
39:17like he's
39:17been involved
39:18in is
39:19heartbreaking
39:19and then
39:20to all
39:21raise its
39:22head again
39:22with emails
39:24and stuff
39:24and you're
39:25reading about
39:25your father.
39:26It just
39:27I can't even
39:28think about
39:28how it
39:29must make
39:29them feel.
39:31The
39:32Andrew
39:32scandal
39:33further
39:33intensified in
39:34February
39:352026
39:35when he
39:36was arrested
39:37for misconduct
39:38in public
39:38office.
39:41The family
39:42has all
39:42but disowned
39:43him and
39:44King Charles
39:44said in a
39:45statement that
39:45the law
39:46needs to
39:46take its
39:47course.
39:56It's now
39:56up to
39:57fan-favorite
39:58Prince
39:58William to
39:58steady the
39:59ship and
40:00restore
40:00public
40:01relations.
40:02William
40:03showed
40:03exactly why
40:04he is our
40:05most popular
40:05and dependable
40:06royal in
40:07the recent
40:08state visit
40:08of Donald
40:09Trump.
40:10Our
40:11lip readers
40:11are able to
40:12uncover what
40:13they believe
40:13was said as
40:14the president
40:15touched down.
40:22Entertaining
40:23world leaders,
40:24whether they
40:25agree with
40:25them,
40:25whether they
40:26disagree with
40:26them,
40:26whether they're
40:27good characters,
40:28bad characters,
40:28whatever they
40:29may be,
40:30the job of the
40:31royals is to
40:32entertain them,
40:33put on a
40:34show, flatter
40:35them, and
40:36then use that
40:37to try and
40:38advance British
40:39interests.
40:43As Trump
40:44greets Kate and
40:45William, there's
40:45some dialogue
40:46happening between
40:47initially Trump and
40:48William at first,
40:49but then he
40:50turned quite sharply
40:51to Kate and
40:52said,
40:53it's so beautiful.
40:54And there's a slight
40:55pause, and he seems
40:56to be in shock,
40:57and says,
40:58so beautiful,
40:58again, with a bit
41:00more emphasis.
41:02So William then
41:04says to Trump,
41:04that's right,
41:05to which Trump
41:06responds,
41:06okay, quite
41:08offhandedly.
41:09As they're
41:10walking,
41:10William says to
41:11Trump, you
41:11know, I've always
41:12wanted to see
41:13inside Air Force
41:14One, to which
41:15Trump responds
41:15really quickly,
41:17off the mark,
41:17you can, let's
41:19arrange it.
41:20Love or loathe
41:21Donald Trump,
41:22this is him
41:23all over.
41:24The first thing
41:25he says when
41:25he meets
41:26Princess Catherine
41:27is,
41:27you are so
41:29beautiful.
41:31She's a bit
41:32uncomfortable.
41:33So beautiful.
41:35And she doesn't
41:37really know what
41:38to do.
41:38I think William
41:39is brilliant at
41:41diffusing situations,
41:42and here's a prime
41:42example.
41:43There's Donald
41:44Trump, who's
41:44complimenting Kate
41:46a couple of
41:47times, and
41:49Prince William
41:50very, very
41:50beautifully
41:51changes the
41:52conversations.
41:52The gallant
41:54Prince William
41:54steps in.
41:56Do you know
41:56what?
41:56I've always
41:57wanted to
41:57look around
41:58Air Force
41:59One, and
42:01the way to
42:02divert
42:02President Trump
42:03from a
42:03beautiful woman
42:04is to talk
42:05about one
42:05of his big
42:05toys.
42:11In a moment
42:12that could
42:12have been
42:12awkward,
42:13William proved
42:14why he is
42:15Catherine's
42:16knight in
42:16shining armour,
42:18and why he is
42:19a huge asset
42:20to Great
42:20Britain and
42:21the monarchy
42:21as a whole.
42:26William.
42:26What the
42:27lip readers
42:27have shown
42:28here is
42:29that William
42:30is a
42:31debt
42:31with
42:31dealing
42:32with
42:32heads
42:32of
42:33state,
42:33and so
42:33he stepped
42:34in,
42:34he distracted
42:35the conversation,
42:36he talked
42:36about Air Force
42:37One,
42:37and then got
42:38on with
42:39the job.
42:39That is the
42:40role of
42:40royalty,
42:41and that's
42:42why I think
42:42he'll be
42:42quite a good
42:43king.
42:48Moments like
42:48this remind
42:49us that,
42:50despite negative
42:51headlines or
42:51wayward family
42:52members,
42:53the royals
42:54are in good
42:55hands.
42:58There is a
42:59love for them
43:00that is so
43:01intense,
43:02you kind of
43:03want them to
43:04succeed,
43:04you know,
43:05without them,
43:06Britain really
43:06wouldn't be on
43:07the map.
43:07I think it's
43:08going to be
43:08a different
43:09time,
43:10but maybe
43:11a better
43:11time with
43:13the new
43:13royals
43:13coming
43:14through,
43:15yeah.
43:15When William
43:16comes in
43:16and Kate
43:17will be
43:18just a
43:19modern royal
43:21family,
43:22rather than
43:22the old
43:23ones.
43:24Probably be
43:24doing the
43:25can-can on
43:25the balcony,
43:26who knows?
43:27That'd be
43:28good to see,
43:28wouldn't it?
43:30We need
43:31to feel tied
43:32to something,
43:34especially when
43:34you consider
43:35turbulent
43:35political times,
43:37turbulent
43:37times in
43:37history,
43:38when you
43:38consider the
43:39ups and
43:39the downs
43:40that Britain
43:41has gone
43:41through and
43:41the British
43:42people have
43:42gone through,
43:43the royals
43:43have always
43:44been a
43:45constant.
43:47We need
43:47to know
43:48that that
43:48constant will
43:49remain.
43:55Next time,
43:57the royal
43:58family are
43:59in mourning.
44:00And I
44:01believe that
44:01Anne
44:02say she
44:02was strong
44:03until the
44:04end.
44:05Well, it
44:05was the
44:06end of an
44:06era.
44:06mother.
44:08But our
44:09new king
44:09must do
44:10his duty.
44:11He then
44:12says,
44:13I must
44:13address
44:14the
44:14nation.
44:15And the
44:15once close
44:16brothers
44:16can't put
44:17their
44:18differences
44:18aside.
44:20William glances
44:22at Catherine
44:23and she
44:23says,
44:24stop arguing.
44:27and
44:54then
44:55we
44:55have
44:55next time.
44:55And the
