00:01Prime Minister Kamala Pesad Bisasa used the avenue of a parliamentary statement to apprise the nation of her recent trip
00:08to the U.S. primarily to attend the Shield of America summit and the invitation of U.S. President Donald
00:15Trump.
00:15China Tobago stands very proud to be part of a new partnership, the America's Counter Cartel Coalition, which is a
00:25very strategic alliance designed to confront cartel violence through coordinated security, through coordinated intelligence, sharing and joint operations across the
00:37Americas.
00:39The Prime Minister first sought to set the stage of the country's burgeoning crime situation, saying for one decade, while
00:47the PNM was in government, blood flowed through TNT's streets.
00:51That was driven by violent gangs fighting for turf to sell illegal arms and narcotics, trafficked into our country by
01:01the drug cartels.
01:06Whilst that was happening, many in the PNM hierarchy fattened their pockets from their local drug mafia finances, while the
01:15people of this country, our country, suffered.
01:18She took aim at the people's national movement.
01:22The new blood red Balajay House stands as a gravestone to drug money, pedophilia and theft.
01:31And while Standing Order 48-4 was raised on two occasions, she was allowed to continue as she did not
01:38name any member but instead referred to the entity.
01:41The PM reminded members of the lower house of the over 124,000 crimes committed between 2015 to 2025, the
01:51over 5,000 murders and over 9,000 violent rapes and sexual assaults, saying the PNM did nothing.
01:59That they seem to take perverse pride in the fact that PNM strongholds have amongst the highest crime rates, the
02:08highest unemployment, the lowest educational attainment, the lowest opportunities and the worst infrastructure in the country under their watch.
02:20And you know, Mr. Speaker, that is why you hear some of them on the other side every day crying,
02:28like crybabies, crying, crying, crying every day about radars, about U.S. troops, about U.S. lists.
02:37I don't know if they're worried on a regime if maybe some of their names are on that list. I
02:41don't know. I haven't seen the list.
02:42She said the coalition can only ogre well for the people of TNT as some crises cannot be solved in
02:49isolation.
02:50These networks, they move cocaine, they move heroin, they move synthetic drugs, what is called fentanyl, I think.
02:58They move them through all waters and ports.
03:01And what happens in return?
03:18The consequences of allowing such criminal networks to continue unabated is increasingly severe, she said.
03:26Our hemisphere is ready to deal and use hard power to defeat threats to our security and our civilization.
03:35These dangers will be addressed using every necessary resource and every legally available authority.
03:43Besant Besasa called the benefits of the proclamation very substantial for TNT, saying this will happen through stronger intelligence sharing.
03:51Through this coalition that we have formed, law enforcement agencies will share real-time intelligence on trafficking,
04:01on trafficking routes, on gang leaders, on financial networks and weapons shipments.
04:08It will also include Besant Besasa said training and technology sharing and capacity building,
04:15saying it is a new powerful instrument in TNT's national security arsenal.
04:19Our police and defense forces will benefit from joint training, advanced technology and international cooperation.
04:30This certainly will strengthen our ability to dismantle gangs, investigate financial crimes and prosecute organized criminal networks.
04:40In closing, the PM said the trip wasn't a simple diplomatic visit.
04:45It was a strategic victory for Trinidad.
04:54It was a win for security and safety.
04:58It was a win for our economy, our economy here, because of the partnerships.
05:04It was a win for the future of our nation.
05:08I'm here to shout now again.
05:09Do you see anything?
05:10For Jerusalem that announced it will be no longer Berlin because of the pastor's mountian events.
05:11You can pierce them both hand side, but there is another plan for it.
