01:06How can we, in your opinion, not be angry and afraid because there are many people that want us to

01:14I agree.
01:15I think, I just think so much has to do with the internet.
01:20I think people are just sort of behind an Instagram account or YouTube account.
01:26Like we're not actually thinking about the human lives going on.
01:30And I think this movie is so heartfelt and it's really a movie about grace and that there's so much
01:40of Ryan in this film.
01:42And he's taking a big swing and he's exploring big topics and ideas while also being an entertaining murder mystery.
01:51So I think actually this movie is a good sort of antidote to all that.
01:56Yeah.
01:57And Benoit Blanc says that everything is storytelling, even religion.
02:01Since you are storytellers, because you are actors, do you have privileged access to the world?
02:11Can you read the world better than us?
02:14Do you believe that everything is storytelling nowadays?
02:17Wow.
02:17These are such good questions.
02:19We need the world better than us.
02:22Oh, I would say as actors, you kind of only really are given a specific perspective in a storytelling.
02:31You know, there's so much obviously to tell stories about, but like as an actor, I feel we just hone
02:38in on one particular project, one particular story.
02:43And I think in some sense, the yeah, our job is to really just draw out, draw out different things
02:52from those stories and make them accessible on a screen through a performance.
02:57I don't think we have things more figured out.
02:59I don't think we have things more figured out than other people.
03:00Yeah, definitely not.
03:01I think we just.

03:03But, you know, I think part of our jobs is to try and pull out the humanity in these characters
03:08and these stories.
03:09And I think hopefully that's why people come to see them and the brilliant filmmakers that make them.

03:16And we see in this movie that having the cult of personality could be really dangerous.
03:23Do you believe that we should be afraid of people like that?
03:26Yeah, I think we should be wary of all those kind of big personalities.
03:30It's like what you said, like, do we see the world differently?
03:32I think any time we're putting anyone on a pedestal or, you know, thinking some person has some sort of
03:40power in sight that other people.
03:42I think I think we just all need to sort of understand that we're human beings and we all make
03:49mistakes.
03:49Yeah, I think what's so great about this film as well is that Ryan beyond all of, you know, the
03:55world has so many different kind of systems in place and we all have our own belief systems and we
04:00all follow, you know, what we would call our own true north.
04:04But like Ryan shows that ultimately we all are in need of grace and forgiveness at times and love and
04:11and he's placed like that as the heartbeat of this film.
04:14And and he shows that like one of my favorite scenes in the film is that Glenn Close's character towards
04:22the end is struggling to forgive a character from her childhood.
04:29And so she's held on to this unforgiveness within her heart into the, you know, later part of her life.
04:36And and just seeing that moment in the film where she finally allows herself to forgive someone from her past.
04:45And and that for me is that one of the most emotional bits of the film.
04:49So, yeah, he's done a good job of like beyond all of this.
04:53We all need we all need that forgiveness and grace.
