00:08In 2021, when he was five, because of different circumstances,
00:12he was dropped off at the hospital for his scheduled heart surgery.
00:17He was alone, and during the seven-hour procedure,
00:20the anesthesiologist, Dr. Amy, kept staring at him
00:23and thinking about what an awful situation he was in.
00:26Even though she already has six kids,
00:28she called her husband and told him that they had to have a talk when she gets home
00:33and that he needed to have an open mind.
00:35Well, that talk ended with them adopting True.
00:38She then learned that he had five siblings and helped them to find homes as well.
00:44A sister was adopted by her sister-in-law.
00:47Two other siblings were adopted by a co-worker.
00:49And when they couldn't find a home for True's sister, Lainey,
00:52Dr. Amy and her husband adopted her as well.
00:55And recently, True celebrated his 10th birthday surrounded by family and friends.
