00:10Melissa has been talking about this damn wicked movie for, well, since.

00:15Since last Thanksgiving.

00:16Yeah, since part one ended.

00:18She watched part one way too many times.

00:24Cried every time at every stupid song.

00:28I didn't enjoy it as much as you, but I think I ended up enjoying it.

01:32I saw the musical last year for the first time, and I still didn't remember a good chunk

01:38A lot of people are comparing it to the first movie and trying to say which one's better

01:42and all this.

01:44You can't compare this movie to the first movie.

01:46You just can't.

01:46They are two completely different vibes.

01:50They were all filmed at the same time.

01:52They just basically cut it in half.

01:54The first movie is all fluff, fun, positivity, laughter, dancing.

02:02I listen to that soundtrack in my car all the time.

02:06The second movie is not like that.

02:09It's more, it tells the story more, which I like, and it is darker and deeper.

02:20Again, it's a lot darker, and then it's kind of wrapping the story up.

02:24As Jamie said, in a nice big bow, and there was a major development at the end that I

02:30completely forgot about, and I was like, oh, okay.

02:33So it was very, I enjoyed it completely different.

02:40It's just, and anyone who goes and is a fan, you'll understand exactly what I mean when you

03:08I think that both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande have a better chance at winning an Oscar this

03:13year, because I think this movie kind of dove deeper into the characters.

03:17It had a little bit more development, and I think there's a little less competition this

03:23So I think the two of them have a better shot.

03:25I'm not saying they're going to win it, but I think they have a better shot.

03:48I love her music, but the whole thing with Ethan Slater, how she took him away from his

03:51wife and all that stuff, I wasn't a fan of hers going into the first movie, but I fell

03:56in love with her after the movie and this movie, because I just feel like her acting is

04:01so good.

04:02It's so believable.

04:03You know what I mean?

04:03And it makes you really enjoy her character.

04:07I didn't see the first one.

04:08I'm not going to see the second one, but their appearance in public, to me, seems a little

04:14bit weird.

04:16They're full of themselves.

04:18Well, I was wondering, is that them playing on the characters that they are in the movie?

04:22I think it's a little bit.

04:24I think they are really close in real life, but I do feel like when they do their press tours

04:29and stuff in public, they are playing into the characters a little bit, for sure.

05:43do have a reaction to when I'm sitting in the theater, like when the credits are going

05:47up.

05:49Well, the people next to me, I could tell were fans, and they were looking at me funny,

05:55and they stood up, and they were just like, okay, and they walked out, and then I turn

06:00around, and there were some fans there that were doing the instant reaction with their

06:04phones, too.

06:04But it was mostly, like, critics and writers.

06:08What was the music like, though?

06:09Was it better than part one?

06:10The music wasn't as good.

06:12Like I said, with the first movie, I can have the soundtrack on repeat in my car.

06:19This one, there's not as many bangers like that.

06:56They can do another one leading into The Wizard of Oz or just like an offshoot.
