00:00But where do we stand with A.J. Brown?
00:01I know Giardi and others have said that, you know,
00:04there could still be a really good chance the Patriots get A.J. Brown.
00:07What do you think of that possibility?
00:08I think they've left the light on for him.
00:11Nice.
00:12That was my – that's what I inferred?
00:16Do you infer from someone else?
00:18Yes.
00:18That's what I took away from the comments made by Elliott Wolfe,
00:24who really needs to, in these instances,
00:26his toe of the line between tampering and speaking about a specific player
00:30on another team.
00:32So I understand that.
00:33But he did make a comment when asked about when will you close up shop?
00:37When is it too late to trade for a player?
00:39Chris Gasper asked him that question.
00:41And he said there's really no time.
00:42It's just when you run out of cap space to fit a player in that you might be
00:48desirous of.
00:49And unless all of the cap is wrong,
00:51they still have about $50 million in cap space,
00:53and that's not going to evaporate.
00:55But free agents are pretty picked over right now.
00:58And I also asked, you know,
00:59what's your priority here with renegotiations versus free agents,
01:05which really didn't elicit a direct response.
01:07But if you have $50 million in cap space and you're not ruling out trades
01:14until your cap space is gone,
01:16it kind of feels like they're leaving the light on for them.
01:20Boy, wouldn't that be something?
01:21Oh, my – oh, goodness.
01:23That would be something.
01:25Tom, I'm just curious.
01:26Teddy, it's such a – it's such a – not a juggle.
01:30I mean, you can get it done.
01:31But to release him before June 1st would cost him $27 million more,
01:38the Eagles in dead cap, than releasing him after.
01:44So it makes zero sense for them to do that.
