00:00Hi, first of all, I love you so much. You look like Sina and Gabriele with Emma in this movie.
00:06You're amazing.
00:09I lead a group of soldiers, fighters like you, with an extremely rare skill set.
00:17What do you mean?
00:20I want to ask you, it's funny how strong women are seen as witches in the movie.
00:27They try to divide that because they are too powerful together.
00:31So in your opinion, something has changed today or not?
00:35Yeah, I mean, listen, the concept is sometimes maybe still like closely related, maybe not so on the nose as
00:41far as, you know, witchcraft.
00:46But there is definitely, I think every woman can speak to this, this idea that we've been allowed to kind
00:55of like be.
00:56But, you know, it's always kind of modulated.
01:00And, you know, this is the saying, like, be successful, but don't be too successful.
01:05Be powerful, but don't be too powerful.
01:07I think, I think, I think women are changing that.
01:12I think, yeah, I mean, I want to believe that that's the case.
01:17But then I also still see a lot of these kind of complicated situations play out, whether it's in politics
01:24or in places of power where, you know, as soon as a woman has a little bit too much power,
01:29people kind of freak out a little bit.
01:31So, you know, I think we still have a long ways to go.
01:33I think that the superpower of these characters is that they can feel each other pain.
01:39And so their superpower is empathy.
01:43Do you believe it's true superpower and empathy is a superpower?
01:47Yeah, I don't know if I wouldn't say all the characters feel it, feel it as much.
01:54I think there's definitely some moments of us, a couple of us making some more selfish decisions.
02:00Even that's something that my character kind of has to go back and forth with about, you know, is she
02:05going to join this new team or, you know, continue to try to be with her family.
02:10But I definitely think, you know, with everything that's going on, I think globally people are being asked to step
02:18out of, you know, your own shoes and your own way of life and really open your eyes that what
02:29you may be experiencing is not the universal experience.
02:34And that's one of the things I think that's interesting about all that's going on is that the, the amount
02:40of ignorance that people are able to hide behind is becoming extremely thin.
02:48I love you too in the fighting scenes because you are so strong, but it sounds like you are dancing.
02:56So how was this crazy combat ballet?
02:59It is, you know, a dance, it is choreography, it is storytelling together.
03:07Thankfully, you know, before we got thrown into it day one of filming, we did get to train together a
03:13little bit, working on the choreography of that, you know, a big fight scene between Andy and Niall.
03:19Just kind of getting a feel for each other.
03:23But I mean, it's, it's nothing like on the day.
03:27I really love the, the boyfriend scene.
03:31Why do you think that sometimes people who can't understand love, laugh at love?
03:38Why?
03:39Well, I think unfortunately, you know, non-binary relationships have always kind of been, and just queer people in general,
03:48and trans people have just always kind of been the butt of the joke.
03:50When you look at history, there's a really incredible documentary on Netflix right now called Disclosure, which is incredibly educational.
03:58And when you look at the history of storytelling, we've always made those relationships the end of a bad joke.
04:04And I think it's because people have just never been, people have never accepted it or been comfortable with the
04:10acknowledgement that it's real.
04:11And so it was very important for us to have that moment be very authentic, because we can't be part
04:19of the problem anymore.
04:20We can't, we can't feed that beast anymore.
04:23So I think it's one of the most beautiful non-binary relationships that I've seen in a while on film.
04:31Yes, so romantic.
04:32What do you think, Kiki?
04:33I mean, what, what I love the most about it is that it's, I mean, it's, it's real.
04:40And for whatever reason, Hollywood loves to, I mean, there's so many things that are a part of our real
04:48world, beautiful, powerful things that Hollywood refuses to acknowledge and represent in an authentic way.
04:57Not a way that's just a joke, not, you know, a way where you're not really honoring the truth of
05:05these things.
05:06And so I'm, I love that about their, the relationship between Joe and Nikki is the, it's just real.
05:15It just is what it is and should be seen more because it is real.
05:25Thank you so much.
05:26I hope to see you in more sequels, many, many sequels.
05:30Thank you.
05:31Thank you.
05:32Thank you so much.
