Video intervista a Mark Wahlberg su Broken City, in occasione della sua visita a Roma per presentare il film.
Trascrizione
00:05I play Billy Taggart, who is a former NYPD detective.
00:08When you meet him, actually, he's just taken the law into his own hands
00:11after a huge miscarriage of justice, so he's either forced to resign or face charges
00:16and he ends up resigning and becoming a private investigator.
00:24He's recruited by the mayor to investigate his wife, who he thinks is having an affair
00:29as the mayor is running for re-election.
00:31He also starts to unravel this whole thing of corruption with the mayor
00:36and he decides, you know, I'm going to actually go after the mayor
00:40and take him down in order to redeem himself.
00:43The mayor is one of those great, kind of larger-than-life politicians
00:49who's very charismatic, so...
00:50and his wife seems to be this kind of cold, confrontational woman.
00:57The great thing about the movie is nobody is who they appear to be.
01:00When you start to unravel everything, nobody is who they seem.
01:09They're both the ultimate pros.
01:11They show up prepared.
01:12They have very strong opinions and takes on not only their character
01:15but the stories, posing a lot of questions about various things in the story.
01:24You know, they come to work on time and prepared
01:26and they want to be great and they want everybody else around them
01:29to do their best.
01:33It's inspiring to see the people, you know, work that hard.
01:39The great thing is, it's a very tense crime thriller
01:43with a lot of twists and turns
01:45and I think it'll be also the kind of movie that can spark debate.
01:48So, you know, you go to the movie with your husband or your wife
01:52or, you know, a friend or colleague
01:54and you'll definitely be having conversations
01:56because everybody has an opinion about the subject matter.
