00:00Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy is apologizing on behalf of America for a recent
00:05airstrike on an Iranian girls' school. Local officials say 175 students and teachers were
00:10killed in the strike. Kennedy told NBC News, quote, it was terrible. We made a mistake.
00:16Other countries do that sort of thing intentionally, like Russia. We would never
00:19do that intentionally. I think the department is investigating it now, and I'm sorry.
00:24Despite the senator's emphatic apology, President Trump said he wasn't sure if the
00:29school strike was the work of the United States or not. Video of the incident shows a tomahawk
00:33missile strike in the area around the school, but the president suggested that such missiles are
00:38used by many nations around the world. He even mentioned that Iran had them and could have
00:42bombed the school themselves. The commander-in-chief was pressed on that theory, and here's what he
00:47said. I just don't know enough about it. I think it's something that I was told is under investigation,
00:53but tomahawks are used by others, as you know. Numerous other nations have tomahawks.
01:00They buy them from us, but I will certainly, whatever the report shows, I'm willing to live
01:06with that report.
