11:40That's a fatigue shot right there
11:41He was so short on that one
11:45That's a lot of minutes for anybody to play
11:47He's played a stretch
11:50Of 18 straight minutes here
11:52The whole third quarter
11:53And half way through the court
11:5772 points per day
12:06Miami ahead 137 to 110
12:09Five and a half minutes still left
12:11In this incredible game
12:13Party
12:15South by five seconds
12:18Oh, we get a chance
12:23Let's pause for a word from Hyundai
12:26See that brand new Hyundai Santa Fe?
12:27Yeah
12:28I only paid
12:29Finish this bucket on your own
12:31Enjoy your new car
12:32Feels so right

12:34The Hyundai getaway sales event
12:40Hey folks, stay tuned for our
12:42Heat Live postgame show tonight
12:43Plenty to go over
12:44It's presented by Verizon
12:45Will come your way
12:46Right after the game
12:59137 to 112
13:06And 72
13:07Time for the eighth
13:08Highest scoring game
13:09In the history of the NBA
13:24It's almost like they're
13:25Helping him along the way
13:28How many free throws
13:29And given him
13:30This will be his 35th
13:32And 36 free throws
13:33Of the game
13:33We've had 29 fouls
13:36To Miami 17
13:38And the majority of them
13:39Have been one against BAM
13:41Obviously
13:41He's taken 35
13:42Now 36 free throws
13:44Coming up
13:45Reason
13:46Most points again
13:48Scored this season
13:49John, it's tight
13:50For the fourth most
13:51In NBA history
13:52I know
13:52It's crazy
13:53He's got 74 points
13:56It is the fourth
13:57Highest scoring game
13:58In the history
14:00Of the National Basketball
14:01Association
14:01And it's happened
14:03Here at the Kaseya Center
14:04On this Tuesday night
14:06March the 10th
14:07So glad you've enjoyed
14:09Winning with us
14:12Remarkable
14:14Marty missed it
14:15Rebound tipped out of bounds
14:17By the Heat
14:19Miami with 139 points
14:21It's amazing to me
14:22The highest scoring game
14:24This season
14:25Again
14:25It was
14:25Nikola Jokic
14:27With Denver
14:28With 56 points
14:29On the Christmas day
14:32In the
14:33In 2025
14:35Denver vs. Minnesota
14:37And that was 56 points
14:38And the damage
14:39Just eclipsed out by a mile
14:4110 a half
14:44139
14:45114
14:45446
14:46Remaining in the game
14:53They sent two defenders at band
14:55Now three
14:58And that's a trap
15:02At some point
15:03There's pride involved
15:04There's only so much
15:06You want to give up
15:07I got to be honest
15:08My pride would have been tweaked
15:10A lot earlier than this
15:11It's something
15:13I mean
15:13Throwing a triple team
15:15On them
15:15With four minutes
15:16To go in the game
15:16I mean
15:17I would have been doing
15:18That in the first half
15:19Like if you want to sit down
15:21With the Wizards
15:21And critique their defense
15:23From a coach's perspective
15:24Do you show the tape
15:26Or do you just burn this thing
15:34It's a defense
15:35A drag second worst
15:37In the league
15:37Giving up 123 points
15:39A game
15:39And their 47 previous losses
15:41Giving up
15:42Just under 128
15:43Again
15:44But
15:44They were defenseless
15:47For most of the night

33:06How would you describe this moment?
33:07How would you describe this moment?
33:09How would you describe this moment?
33:10Man, I wish I could relive it twice.
33:14Man, I wish I could relive it twice.
33:14I mean, I credit God, my family, man, my teammates, this crowd, and they kept feeding me the ball.
33:27The crowd's on their feet. Your teammates are here behind you. What does it mean to have their support?
33:35Man, I appreciate y'all, man. They're like my second family. And like I said, man, I couldn't do it
33:43without them. Somebody had to pass me the ball. I appreciate Coach for drawing up plays for me and I
33:49got it going tonight.
33:50At what point in this night did you start to feel like it could be something special?
33:56When I got 43 and a half.
34:04Bam, where does this night for you personally rank in your career?
34:09Number one, for sure. For sure, number one. And to be able to do it at home makes it even
34:16more sweeter.
34:17All right, Bam, what can you say about this group behind you who supported you? Wait, what's that? Wait, we've
34:22got Norman Powell's got a message.
34:25How does it feel to hear your name with Wilt Bam Kobe?
34:35Obviously, it's top three performances of all time. Hell yeah. Hell yeah.
34:43Norm, we appreciate you for the assist. Guys, one more time. Let's hear it for Bam Adebayo. 83-point performance.
34:52Second most points in NBA history.
35:10NBA history has been made in Miami tonight from 28-year-old Bam Adebayo sitting on top of a basketball
35:19work.
35:21It comes in a 150-129 victory and there it is. The top three scoring games in the history of
35:29the National Basketball Association.
35:30The Big Dipper, Wilt Chamberlain on a night in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
35:35A game that was not televised with the Philadelphia Warriors 100 points against the Knicks.
35:41Bam does it tonight. Kobe did it in 2006 against Toronto.
35:46Historic and amazing and enjoyable and unforgettable.
36:01Back with more following this amazing Miami Heat victory.
36:06150-129 over the Wizards.
36:09It was Bam's moment, but the team embraced it with them and enjoyed it.

41:12Powerful.
41:12The second most points in the history of the league.
41:15Nobody thought anybody would catch Will Chamberlain's 100,
41:17much less pass Kobe Bryant's 81.
41:20But Bam did pass Kobe tonight.
41:22Let's take a look back at the night he had.
41:25John, remember we've talked about how he felt
41:28after the loss at Philadelphia
41:29when the Heat had dropped two straight games.
41:31He said, I'm sick and tired of being a play-in team.
41:34The Heat haven't lost since.
41:36Six straight wins,
41:37and he's come out with an incredibly aggressive attitude
41:40at the start of all six of these games.
41:43Yeah, no, look, he has.
41:43And I think that's really translated
41:46throughout the course of the game for the rest of the team.
41:48He's typically started early, closer to the basket
41:52with hard drives or post-ups.
41:54But, man, at the end of that first quarter,
41:56he was in such a great rhythm.
41:58You got a feeling something special was going to happen.
42:01He made tough shots, too, initially.
42:03Then he was drawing fouls
42:05and kept it going throughout the course
42:07of the second quarter into half.
42:09We saw a record historical Heat record broken for any quarter.
42:14Then we saw a historical half record broken,
42:17and you just saw the momentum continue to go on and on.
42:21There's our reaction there.
42:23Just crazy.
42:25Us on the Snoop cam there.
42:27Thank you guys for catching us there.
42:30Unbelievable.
42:31Just so happy for Bam.
42:32What a moment that's just jubilation for this franchise to share together.
42:38Good Greek moves of the game.
42:40The 83-point score.
42:41The second most in NBA history.
42:43The 31 points in the first half.
42:4643 points at halftime.
42:49Career highs and field goals made and attempted.
42:51Threes made and free-throw attempts.
42:54An NBA record 43 free-throw attempts.
42:57He took as many free-throws as he did field goals.
43:01Well, it's just a night that none of us will ever forget.
43:05We're going to think about this game until our final breath.
43:08I mean, it was just breathtaking to see it happen for Bam, John.
43:12And Miami, listen, let's take it back to the team now.
43:16Six straight wins.
43:18They're right on the edge of catching Toronto at number five
43:22with 16 games left.
43:24Incredibly meaning final stretch to the regular season for Miami.
43:27They're trying to win their way in right to the playoffs
43:30and circumvent that play-in.
43:32Yeah, look, with the way they're playing now,
43:35you know, particularly on the defensive end, keeping it going,
43:38we saw offensively if they can get anything near what Bam's doing
43:42with a healthy Tyler and healthy Norm, it's special.
43:44But I'm just still so caught up in the emotion of that Bam performance.
43:49That was otherworldly.
43:51Yeah, I'm interested to hear what Coach Rossian's going to say about it
43:54in a moment.
43:54But one of the things that I'm going to never forget about this game
43:57that Eric Spolstra had just such great respect for Bam
44:01and showed it to him, he let him play through the entire game
44:05to set that NBA record or near NBA record that he did tonight.
44:09It was terrific.
44:10I'm curious what the coach thinks, and we'll find out about that
44:13when we go right now to Jax and Ron Rossian.
44:16Gentlemen, thank you very much on a just spectacular night
44:20to be a part of all these things.
44:21I have the line all the time when somebody asks me how I'm doing.
44:24I said, I have a job where they let you in the building for free
44:27and they pay you to be there.
44:29And this is one of those nights.
44:31Well, I try to watch myself there.
44:34But it is just wonderful in so many different angles.
44:39But for me specifically, I assume you feel the same way.
44:42Watching all of it form in this young man from the moment he left Kentucky
44:47and found his way here.
44:48And then he has this magical moment that you only dream of
44:51when you're a young player trying to figure out where this game
44:54might be able to take you.
44:56You know, there are certain guys in the league you would think that
45:01this could happen.
45:04And I say this with all due respect.
45:06I know where you're going.
45:09Because we've seen where he's come from.
45:11And this did not happen without tremendous dedication and hard work
45:18and a strong belief in himself.
45:22Knows who he is.
45:24And he just has been relentless in his approach.
45:30And his leadership this year is really blossoming.
45:33And this is the culmination.
45:35And let's just rejoice and just be thankful we're all here to see this tonight.
45:43And then let's move on and get the next win.
45:45We're going to change order of things tonight.
45:47Okay.
45:47Get to your drawing in a moment.
45:48Let's get down and listen to Spoh.
45:49It's the Baptist Health Post Game Press Conference.
45:52Here's the Heat head coach.
45:54All right.
45:55Anything happen tonight?
45:59And you – I guess at what point did you think about milestones
46:05and places on the all-time list?
46:08And when you got to 70, did you think about pulling them?
46:11Like, what was – I know you're thinking about the game,
46:15but there was something else.
46:16Yeah.
46:16I mean, this was just an absolutely surreal night.
46:19You know, obviously we've been blessed to have been a part
46:22of a lot of big moments in this arena.
46:26This one, it just happened.
46:30Moments happened.
46:31You know, and I'm grateful that we were all able to be a part of it
46:35and witness it.
46:37You know, he had a monster first quarter and then, you know,
46:41had 43 at halftime, you know.
46:44And we just talked about, you know, continuing to play our game.
46:48And, you know, the ball was finding him regardless of whether, you know,
46:52we're calling dead ball calls specifically for him or ATOs in the second half.
46:57I was a little bit more intentional trying to get him some touches.
47:01But I would say once he got to 50, then we're thinking, all right, let's –
47:08you know, maybe he can get to 60.
47:10Then when he got to 60, you know, it just kept on going.
47:13We might as well go for 70.
47:15And then, you know, I didn't dare, you know, even think about taking him out,
47:19you know, at that point.
47:20We just kept on going.
47:21I wanted him to have a moment, you know.
47:23I didn't know when that would be.
47:25He just kept on going.
47:26Otherwise, I was going to foul and allow the crowd to really enjoy the moment with him
47:32and allow him to enjoy, you know, this historic night in front of all the home fans.
47:40But it just kept on – just kept on going.
47:42So, you know, to answer your question, I just didn't stop until once he got Kobe's.
47:47He came in two nights ago and talked about how he came in as a defender and a lob guy.
47:52Yeah.
47:53And how 10,000 points was, like, never on his radar.
47:56You don't expect 83 from anybody, but it is – I don't – it's obviously not that unlikely.
48:03He just did it.
48:03But how unlikely – there are guys who can go off at any time.
48:07Yeah.
48:07Who ever thinks something like this would be possible?
48:09I mean, how good anybody?
48:10No.
48:11Look at the company that he's with right now.
48:17You know, the absolute greats of the game, the scoring greats of the game.
48:22And it's an absolute credit to his relentless will and work ethic.
48:30He's willed himself and worked himself into being a premier offensive talent in this league.
48:37You know, and, you know, he's a unique offensive player, so you can't put him in a conventional box.
48:42And I think in some ways, like, our offense is just getting into another gear
48:46as everybody's gotten a little bit more comfortable with how we play.
48:50It's a little bit different.
48:50But I think Bam more than anyone, you know, it took him a little bit of time.
48:58And then once he fully got comfortable, you can just see it really allows him to take advantage
49:06of his super unique skill set, you know, for a big.
49:12You know, I think he also has this competitive will, you know, that –
49:18you know, I know that clip has been floating around out there,
49:21but Dwayne said there's not a buzz about the Miami Heat.
49:25Well, you know, we feel a certain way about that.
49:27You know, Dwayne is one of our own, so I love you, Dwayne.
49:30But that also serves as motivation, you know, to all of us.
49:33But, again, more so to Bam than probably anyone.
49:37And Tyler, you know, they've been in this program.
49:41And all of a sudden, you know, that competitive will, it can manifest itself in a bunch of different ways.
49:46And in this way, it just became a moment in history in this league.
49:52And there will be a buzz, you know, about the Miami Heat now, you know, when we'll wake up tomorrow.
49:59How surreal is it?
50:00You've been through LeBron's big game, Dwayne, some great shots.
50:03What was it like, if you could sort of take us inside from someone who's been here for three decades,
50:08just to be part of something like that?
50:10Are you a fan, or what's it like?
50:13Tonight, in that last six minutes of the third quarter and the entire fourth quarter, I felt like a fan.
50:20You know, I wanted to make sure I did my job to be able to, you know, help, you know,
50:26if we could.
50:27But this one just came out of nowhere.
50:30When you say you want to be a part of, you know, these moments, things that you'll remember, you know,
50:36a group, you know, to remember.
50:38And usually it happens in the playoffs.
50:41This one just kind of snuck up on us, and it snuck up on all of us.
50:46You know, once it just kept on going, then we knew we possibly could be part of something really special.
50:53Didn't really think it would necessarily be historic until he got close to 70.
50:58Then at that point, you know, of course, we're all fans and historians of the game.
51:03You start, you know, talking about what Kobe got, and it was only, you know, 12, you know, 14 points
51:11away from getting to that point.
51:12So, you know, then you're just, you know, you're caught up in the moment like everybody else.
51:19And I didn't want to get in the way of the moment, you know, right?
51:23Like, I wanted to draw up some ATOs to help, but I also didn't want to get in the way.
51:28And I damn for sure was not going to take him out.
51:30The only thing I wanted to do for sure is at some point is get him out so he could
51:36enjoy, you know, this historic moment with the fans and the fans could share.
51:40And then we can create a little bit of a buzz, you know, for this last six weeks going into
51:46the playoffs.
51:47There was a moment where you challenged the call very emphatically because you wanted him to get to that, kind
51:52of get to that point.
51:53You know, you spoke many times about Bam kind of being the flag bearer for this team.
51:58Just could this have happened to someone better?
52:00I know you've coached a lot of players, but for him to do it.
52:02Yeah, look, you know, when LeBron, you know, at 61, like that was an incredible moment.
52:09I still had the box score.
52:10Actually, no, that went up in flames.
52:12But I can laugh about it now.
52:16I can laugh about it.
52:17Like, but you kind of expect it.
52:20He's one of the greatest scorers of all time.
52:23Like Bam has willed himself, you know, to that.
52:25And the thing you love about it and why everybody roots for Bam is because he does all the winning
52:31things.
52:31He does all the things that aren't recognized.
52:34He puts his body out there.
52:36He's available.
52:39He's a rugged competitor.
52:41And, you know, he went through a stretch earlier in the season because we're running a different kind of offense
52:46that it took him a little bit of time to adjust to it.
52:50And he's being criticized for it.
52:53And then once, you know, he started to get comfortable, you know, he's one of the top offensive players in
53:00this league.
53:01And I think he's legit one of the top three two-way players in this league.
53:07But this was a special moment.
53:09This is a moment that I'm never going to forget.
53:14And just the response of, you know, his teammates and the coaching staff, you know, for him because, you know,
53:21you love him.
53:23And you want great things for people that you really love.
53:26And what a night.
53:28What a night, you know, for him, his family, and the Heat Nation fan base.
53:34I know you say you didn't want to get in the way, but this also isn't baseball.
53:37You can't just avoid the guy throwing a perfect game.
53:39So what was Bam like and how was the team kind of treating him?
53:43Well, I made sure, you know, typically, you know, the first few timeouts, one of the reserves will always pick
53:50him up from the bench.
53:51And then as the game gets going, I start getting my hands on him.
53:55And I always, like, pull him up.
53:56And it's just a connection between the head coach and the captain and the team player.
54:01We've done that for, you know, a few years.
54:03And then usually everything down the stretch, we're getting our hands on each other, you know.
54:09I did not go anywhere near him.
54:12You know, we would have something going on.
54:14Once it got to 40, I didn't go anywhere near him at that point.
54:22Who knew that I would be superstitious, you know.
54:26But it got a little, you know, crazy there in the second half.
54:30And you just wanted, you know, to make sure that that flow, you know, that everybody is searching for in
54:38pro sports.
54:38He was in the ultimate flow, in the ultimate zone.
54:43He didn't want to get in the way of that.
54:46Coach, I know you weren't the one executing or scoring the points.
54:49But did you feel like you were kind of orchestrating the moments?
54:54No.
54:54Not like, but putting him so he could have the success at the second half.
54:58How you said you started.
54:59Yeah, part of it is, a major part of it is not getting in the way.
55:02Right?
55:03But, you know, the way I thought it was appropriate, you know, the last six minutes, okay, that got a
55:09little bit different.
55:09But, you know, it was appropriate.
55:12The ball was moving.
55:13We were still playing our game, and that's where he's so effective, you know.
55:16And those catch and goes and, you know, his threes and the spacing.
55:20He's a handful with his speed and his size.
55:24You know, there's not many guys that can, you know, that can keep up with him from a foot speed
55:29standpoint.
55:30And he has the equalizer now where you're leaning.
55:33And if you just give him dare shots, he's going to make enough of those to hurt you.
55:37And in the post, if you put a smaller player, he's just really worked at his post game now where
55:42he's not letting you off the hook.
55:44It's not turnaround fadeaways.
55:45He's going to bury you in the paint, and you're going to have to foul him.
55:49And then he's going to live at the free throw line.
55:50I think that was a record tonight, too, right?
55:53Most makes.
55:55Attempts.
55:56You know, oh, attempts.
55:58Both.
55:58Both, right?
55:59Yeah, so, you know, he's really worked at those things, you know, to be more efficient, whatever matchup you put
56:08on him.
56:08But was I, you know, part of that?
56:10No.
56:10The only thing, you know, ATOs just want to make sure that we're organized to get the ball to him,
56:15and then he'd play somewhere in space.
56:17Last question.
56:18Hey, Coach.
56:19This question is not about Bam.
56:21That's just crazy.
56:23Sorry.
56:24You're like the officials.
56:25They were trying to be the biggest buzzkills tonight.
56:28You know, they were really bad.
56:30Whatever the question is, it's going to be a buzzkill of a question.
56:33Six wins in a row.
56:35A lot of people probably will say that two were against the Nets, one against the Wizards.
56:40But what it means for the team to reach this level when we are so close to the end of
56:46the regular season?
56:47We feel like we have some trends going in a great direction, but we also have to prove it.
56:54We have to stack up some wins and stack up some great games.
56:57We have to do it against teams like this.
56:59They're not easy.
57:00Not only for us, but league-wide.
57:03You know, everybody says, oh, you're facing teams that, you know, that aren't trying to win.
57:07But the players that are out there, they don't care what the organization's mandate, you know, might be.
57:15You know, but then we also have some big games, you know, where both teams will be playing for something.
57:21And the last two weeks, we've handled those and we've handled these.
57:24So we just have to rest up.
57:26Hopefully the guys enjoy this out on a great night in Miami together.
57:33And then we'll get ready for Thursday night.
57:34All right?
57:35Thank you.
57:37Back to self, post-game press conference on a night where that man got his store.
57:44Franchise history, NBA history.
57:46We break down more BAMs.
57:4983 points when we come back.
57:52Heat win, by the way.
57:53150-129.
