02:38Пак some Papa John's Pizza.
02:39This is a blue collar top.
02:42Hot or cold.
02:44This is a blue collar game.
02:45Do the hard work.
02:47It's a business approach.
02:50Not all friendly today.
02:51Just go in and get it done.
02:52Blue collar, that's what I like to call it.
02:55Put this away early.
02:5630 plus assists, one great way to do that.
02:59Get that ball popping around. Miami's great when they get over there.
03:01By the way, last five games Miami's 43% on threes with paint touches.
03:05So when you're moving that ball around, good things happening.
03:08That is a very high clip and I'd love to see 30 plus dimes.
03:11And number three, the under averages.
03:13And what I mean by that is the challenge here.
03:15Keep Washington under all their offensive averages.
03:17I know they're not in a great place necessarily with their wins.
03:20But what's your challenge?
03:21They average 112 points a game.
03:23Can you keep them under that?
03:24They shoot 46% from the field.
03:26Can you keep them under that?
03:27This is not about Washington.
03:28This is about the Miami Heat.
03:29And so what can you do to get better today?
03:33Everything's so nip and tuck 5 through 10 in the East.
03:37Yeah, we're not just watching the standings.
03:40We're watching the scoreboard.
03:41Everybody looked at me crazy last week when I said,
03:44Oh, Toronto's available.
03:45Oh, they're in Houston tonight.
03:46They're available.
03:46And they're facing Houston.
03:48We'll keep an eye on if there's some slippage there.
03:51The show is over.
03:52So let's get the night on the woods started.
03:55Kelly, Eric, and Sean will have the call after the break.
03:58We'll meet you back here with Coach Rothstein for postgame.
04:01Meantime, we have the Wizards.
04:04We have the Heat.
04:06Time to ball, y'all.
04:09Next!
04:35On this beautiful NBA Tuesday in Miami, the Heat hope to continue.
04:40on their red hot way in their march towards the NBA playoffs.
04:44Miami Heat basketball on FanDuel Sports Network is brought to you by
04:48Carnival Cruise Line.
04:50Tonight, the second of four matchups between the Heat and the Washington Wizards.
04:53The team that arrives in Miami with eight straight losses.
04:56We always hope you enjoy every bounce and basket right along with us.
05:00And welcome inside the Kaseya Center.
05:02Hello to Heat Nation.
05:03Great to have you with us and to be alongside the point guard, John Crotty.
05:06And good to be with you.
05:07I'm Eric Reid.
05:08You know, the Heat are rolling right now.
05:11They are red hot.
05:12The winning does feel good.
05:13Five straight victories and five straight wins at home, John.
05:17The five straight wins at home for Miami started with the impressive victory over Houston
05:23and continue with the dominant performance over the Pistons on Sunday.
05:26But shall we go back to early February when the Heat and Wizards met in Washington, D.C.?
05:30Yeah, Miami really won that game handily.
05:32They established a lot of the strong suits of what they've done all season long,
05:36starting with the pace.
05:37Really getting up and down the floor, putting the Wizards on their heels.
05:41They took 104 field goal attempts at 26 fast.
05:44Great points to take advantage there.
05:47Offensively, boy, did they move the ball.
05:49Great spacing.
05:5034 assists.
05:51That led to 21 made threes, really scorching Washington.
05:56And lastly, they played physical.
05:58They were engaged on the glass, out-rebounding Washington 60-42.
06:02Wiggins had 10 boards.
06:04Ware with 14 to lead Miami in a really dominant performance up there in the capital of our country.
06:11Miami 10-0 with a double-figure rebound advantage this year.
06:15That was a 31-point win.
06:16They do meet twice in April after tonight's game here on the 4th and in D.C. on the 10th.
06:22That'll be the season's final regular season road game.
06:25Wizards are going to have their eighth straight losing season.
06:27And they did make some huge changes with in-season trades this year.
06:31In February, they acquired Anthony Davis.
06:33He hasn't played yet.
06:34In January, they acquired Trey Young, who's only played in 12 games this year.
06:38Just two as a member of the Wizards.
06:41He will not play tonight.
06:43So they're really yet to unveil the new look of Trey Young and Anthony Davis.
06:48Let's switch back to Miami.
06:50The Heat right now are seven games over the 500 mark for just the second time this year.
06:55And for the first time since the 1st of December.
06:58And, John, why don't you dive in to the three catalysts of the Heat's five-game win streak.
07:01Yeah, big factors right off the bat.
07:04Tyler Hero.
07:04Love what he's doing.
07:06Career high 40% from three.
07:07Really played well against the Pistons.
07:1025 points on eight of 16 shooting.
07:12But four made threes.
07:14Made a difference.
07:15Able to get to that free throw line, too.
07:17And draw contact.
07:18Playing with great confidence.
07:19Bam Adebayo.
07:20He's leading, again, by example.
07:2329 20-point scoring games this season.
07:26Just hit over 10,000 points.
07:28Really scoring the ball.
07:29And let's not forget about the bench.
07:31They've been good all season long.
07:32Excellent performance overall.
07:35Scoring, rebounding, and passing to keep the pressure on for 48 minutes.
07:40And tonight's key player profile on the captain, Bam Adebayo, the number two scorer and rebounder in Heat history.
07:46He joined Dwayne Wade as the only two players in franchise history to have scored 10,000 points or more
07:51in a Heat uniform.
07:52The captain leads his team in every way.
07:55And it was him after the two straight losses at Milwaukee and Philadelphia that vowed that things would get better.
08:01And the Heat looking to keep this winning streak.
08:03And the good vibes rolling at home.
08:08Bam, down the runway.
08:10It drops.
08:11And finally, he gets to the 10,000th career court court.
08:15It is a great accomplishment.
08:16I'm glad I got him a W-2.
08:18This man scoops it up.
08:20And in.
08:20The second Heat player in the history of this franchise to reach 10,000 points or more.
08:26That deserves a while.
08:27It's a lot of buckets.
08:31Hero buries a dribble.
08:34Tyler fires up a three.
08:36He launched it.
08:36Made it.
08:38Three on the shot clock for Hero.
08:40Kaboom!
08:42How about Tyler Hero?
08:44Hero.
08:46Again!
08:48Tyler Hero connecting on back-to-back triples.
08:51Oh my gosh.
08:58Whom!
08:59How about that?
09:04No.
09:06No.
09:06Come on!
09:09No!
09:11No!
09:14No!
09:18No!
09:25Номер 9, Пеллайсен!
09:35И номер 13, Бан Атабайо!
09:44И номер 11, Бан Атабайя!
10:17ЛАТИНО!
10:20Welcome to No-Town F1 GO!
10:23Miami, if you're ready to get this party started,
10:26we need you to make some noise right there!
10:32Let's go!
10:34Hands in the air!
10:36Wave them around!
10:38Heat Nation!
10:41Now somebody scream!
10:46Let's go!
10:50Let's go!
10:59Welcome back to Heat Riding, a five-game win streak entering tonight's
11:03matchup against the Washington Wizards last five games.
11:07How about our Toyota trend for the night?
11:09We highlight a player who's made a big impact over this win streak.
11:12It's Davion Mitchell.
11:13There are his numbers, 24 assists, field goal percentage, and three-point field goals.
11:18All above 50%.
11:20Again, the heat perfect across the last five.
11:23As we take a look now at our Cadillac starting lineup.
11:26Davion Mitchell, he's in there again.
11:28Still had nothing but wonderful things to say about Davion.
11:32About the way he plays both on the defensive side and offensive side.
11:36And again, he's there alongside Pella, Kaz, Myron, and Bam.
11:40You see the starting five on the opposite end for the Wizards.
11:43They'll be without Trey Young for the Heat.
11:46They'll be without Tyler Hero.
11:48But again, it's the next man up mentality as the Heat look for the six straight victory.
11:53Eric John, back to you.
11:54All right.
11:55Thank you, Kelly.
11:56Good to have you with us.
11:57Heat Nation, great to have you with us as well.
11:59Ben Taylor, Pat Freyer, and Dedrick Taylor are three-man officiating group.
12:03And in game number 66 of the regular season, off we go, gang, on another Miami Heat NBA adventure.
12:10He's looking for their 37th win of the season.
12:13And Bam Adebayo, as he so often has done lately, John, assertive right from the opening tap.
12:19Great position early in the post, too.
12:21Backing down Sarge, shooting right over top.
12:23In the paint, just a five-foot jumper there for Bam.
12:27John, the Heat are using their 22nd different starting lineup tonight.
12:30Without Tyler Hero, without Andrew Wiggins, without Norman Powell.
12:34So Pella Larson, Myron Gardner, Bam Mitchell, and Kaz Yacochonis in the starting group tonight.
12:40For Yacochonis, his 10th start of the season as you take a look at a very crowded injury report
12:46that includes Kalil Ware.
12:48Good news for the Heat, Simone Fonseca is available after missing the last three games.
12:54Gardner!
12:55Oh, he tried to jam it in, but a beautiful block by the 20-year-old 7-footer out of
13:00France.
13:00Alex Song.
13:02Sar the second pick in land in the draft two years.
13:06But Gary, this woman, Pittsburgh Panther, as it deflected by Davion, it bounces right back to Gary.
13:13Wow, Koulibaly, another native of France.
13:16He missed it, and Bam rakes it out.
13:18Loose ball picked up by the Heat.
13:19Van Machina, the orchestra leader, the engine that helps the Heat offense.
13:31Come back!
13:32First five points of the game for the Heat's captain.
13:35The kitchen shoot out beyond the Arkeys, but really shooting as well as of late.

24:28You can see how devastating he was after those two road losses.
24:31He made that statement, how fed up he was with being in the play-in.
24:35Then in a heart-to-heart with Heat Legends, Dwayne Wade, and Udonis Haslam.
24:40And the rest, the proof in the Pam Adebayo pudding, John,
24:43he has led the way over this five-game winning streak in every way.
24:47He's amazing as a leader.
24:49I love what he brings.
24:51The consistency every single night, the effort, the energy,
24:57takes it very personal, and the players feed off that.
25:01You feed off your top guys, and what a great example for the rest of his team is.
25:08Pam Adebayo has tied his best scoring quarter of his career,
25:11and has tied Norman Powell's 19-point third quarter against the Knicks this year.
25:15An explosive quarter for him.
25:17That was a nice move by Bub Carrington, the second-year guard at a pitch,
25:21gets his first score.
25:23The Heat lead is only three.
25:25Mitchell, back to Gordon.
25:28Win three, Ben.
25:30Why not?
25:31The highest scoring quarter of his nine-year NBA career.
25:36We've just watched it together.
25:37Twenty-two points on eight of ten shooting.
25:40My goodness, he has 22 of the Heat, 26 points,
25:43but the Heat not stopping.
25:45The Wizards on the defensive end.
25:47That's Trey Johnson again.
25:48He has seven points for them.
25:51And there's a four-point lead for the Heat, with four minutes left in his wild quarter,
25:55and that's a travel on the court.
25:57Shifted that pivot foot there, Gardner did.
25:59That'll be Miami's second turnover.
26:01Let's go back to Bam.
26:02On the kickout again, and a great ball reversal.
26:06This time, it's a different center.
26:10It's Vukovic, who's late getting out there on the closeout.
26:13The way Bam's shooting it right now, why not let it fly?
26:16Four of five from beyond the arc.
26:18Eight of ten overall.
26:19He's got 22 points.
26:22Just outstanding offense.
26:23He has a chance to have the highest scoring first quarter in the history of the Heat franchise.
26:27LeBron James holds that record with a 25-point first quarter.
26:32LeBron did it at Cleveland in March of 2014.
26:35More than a decade later, Bam just three points away.
26:39And Vukovic with the foul.
26:41That's their 14th foul.
26:42And as Tristan Vukovic, the seven-foot center.
26:48That's not a fun task coming in for Saar and Vukovic trying to slow down the heated Bam out of
26:57bio right now.
26:58He's playing with so much confidence.
26:59Sick him.
27:00Yes, and the foul.
27:03A 24-point first quarter for Bam.
27:06He could tie LeBron's first quarter scoring record for the Miami Heat with this free throw.
27:11This was some olé defense right here.
27:14Right by him.
27:15And, oh my goodness, he tried to reach and tap from behind, but that's olé right there.
27:21Bam going so hard right.
27:23And one opportunity to tie and get 25 points and tie that record you just referenced.
27:31I can't believe the efficiency right now.
27:33Eight, nine of 11 overall.
27:36Four of five from the three and a couple of made free throws.
27:44And he has done it.
27:46He's tied LeBron James' first quarter scoring record.
27:5125 points in the period.
27:5325 in the Heat's 29.
27:55He's still got 25 left in this opening quarter.
27:59Champagne with an air ball.
28:00Bam with a rebound.
28:01Do it all.
28:02Oh, nice to your captain.
28:06Again.
28:07That's on the three with short.
28:09Yaka Chonis runs it down.
28:12Eight, up by seven.
28:15This is Hawkins.
28:17Manoeuvring in and then sending it out to Gardner.
28:20That's in and out.
28:22Rebound to Champagne.
28:23This is Jayden Hardy.
28:25Hardy from Detroit, Michigan.
28:26Came over in the same trade that Anthony Davis did from Dallas.
28:30And he stepped out of bounds.
28:33That was Sharif Cooper, the second-year guard out of Auburn.
28:37With Brian Keefe, third year as the Wizards head coach.
28:40John, what a daunting task it has been for him.
28:42You know what his record is in his three seasons as the Wizards head coach?
28:46I do.
28:4642 wins and 142 losses.
28:50God bless that man.
28:51That is painful.
28:53There is a place reserved in basketball heaven for Coach Evans.
28:56You're done.
28:57Ben.
28:59Oh, pop down.
29:01Dr. Tipped it in.
29:02He's like a rocket ship on that offensive glass.
29:05Myron Gardner.
29:07The energy.
29:08That's what he brings.
29:10Both ends.
29:11Good timing there on the putback.
29:13Steel by Ben.
29:15Drives in.
29:17And cross the foul.
29:18And he's got a chance at points.
29:2026 and 27.
29:27Crazy what he's doing in this quarter right now.
29:30You know what?
29:3125 points.
29:32He's tied for the most points in any quarter in Heat history.
29:36LeBron also had a 25-point third quarter against Charlotte in March of 2014.
29:41Bam could have the highest scoring quarter in the history of the franchise
29:45with one of these two free throws.
29:51You've just witnessed in Heat Nation 38 years of Heat basketball.
29:55And we have just watched together the highest scoring quarter ever by an individual Heat player.
30:02Phenomenal.
30:0426 of the Heat's 32.
30:07They get 27.
30:12Another spot in the record book with Bam's name on it.
30:16Heat by 11.
30:173-22.
30:18That's Cooper.
30:19That's short.
30:21Rebound picked off the deck by Larson.
30:24You just never know what's in store.
30:27Yes, sir!
30:28How about some more?
30:29A 30-point first quarter for Bam Adebayo.
30:34This is incredible stuff.
30:38Another great performances in Heat history in this period.
30:43Needed ahead by 14.
30:46Cooper.
30:47Oh, God.
30:48Sharif Cooper with the bucket.
30:50He's a guy that's been waived three different times in his NBA career.
30:56Bam again!
30:59Bam!
31:00Vukcevich down with a rebound.
31:01With a minute 25 left in the quarter.
31:03Drew Smith with the steal.
31:05He's 11th in the NBA in steals.
31:10Bam against Jaden Hardy.
31:12Deflected by Champagny.
31:15And the Wizards give it right back.
31:17Their eighth turnover for them in this opening period.
31:23This is just a total heat check.
31:25He's getting tired from shooting so much.
31:29That is a super deep range right there by Bam.
31:33And look how excited that bench is.
31:35They know he's doing something historic there.
31:38Trevor Kiel.
31:39What was that?
31:39He's holding his head the entire bench into it.
31:43That was a really overaggressive foul.
31:46Yeah, Jaden Hardy right there.
31:48Getting into Pella Larson.
31:49Oh, look at this.
31:51Look at this.
31:53Wizards a little grouchy, John.
31:55And not unexpected when you have the third worst record in the NBA and you're carrying around an eight-game
32:01losing streak.
32:04Oh, look at that.
32:05There's the push there by Jaden Hardy.
32:09John, what else is new?
32:10Pella Larson getting under somebody's skin.
32:12Jaden Hardy.
32:15With an unusual foul.
32:17We're going to stop and play.
32:19They're going to look at this for a potential flagrant foul.
32:24So the crew chief, Ben Taylor, who went to college at Middle Tennessee State.
32:30You see Ben right there, the man holding the basketball.
32:32He's already at the table talking to the replay center in Socaucus.
32:36It could be different than a flagrant foul.
32:39It could also be a technical foul, which to me would make sense in that because it's just so clearly
32:46a two-hand push.
32:49And you're right.
32:50I think Pella got under his skin there.
32:55And he...
33:04So the official review is 63 seconds left here in the first quarter.
33:10John, an incredible performance.
33:11As a review, there's no unnecessary contact on the play.
33:14It's going to be a common foul on Jaden Hardy.
33:16Pella Larson will go to the line for penalty free throws.
33:21Interesting.
33:23Yeah.
33:25Interesting interpretation for sure.
33:31By the way, Clay Thompson holds the NBA record for the most points in a single quarter.
33:36He had 37 in a third quarter for the Golden State Warriors against Sacramento back in January of 2015.
33:43That's insane.
33:44I remember that.
33:45I think he had like 10 threes.
33:49He had the line, Pella Larson.
33:52Pella Larson will go to the free throw line for two shots.
33:56Here we go.
33:56By BAM's career high, 41 points in a January 2021 loss at Brooklyn, a 41-point game that night for
34:05BAM.
34:05But 30 in the first quarter, unheard of.
34:09Highest scoring quarter in the history of the Heat.
34:13He was a 36-point first group.
34:16I got it.
34:16That's right.
34:18I got it.
34:18Jim PAM has taken this thing so seriously.
34:22He's already gone over 20 points for the seventh straight game, but he's taken ownership of the Heat's stretch run.
34:29In his own words, sick and tired of being a play-in team.
34:32He wants a top-six seed just to start with and then playoff success.
34:38So the first quarters have been just remarkable the way he's come out and focused and turned and really establishing
34:46himself offensively and a great energy as a rebounder.
34:50So I think it's really carrying forward during this web street.
34:55Wizards is getting a triple there from Sharif Cooper.
34:58So Cooper's come off the bench with some buckets.
35:00That's an offensive foul on Bam.
35:02He just ran right over Tristan Vukovic.
35:05First foul tonight on Adepayah.
35:07That was a miscue there.
35:10It was Vukovic who had that triple.
35:13I don't know why they put up the wrong name there.
35:16Not my dad.
35:21Vukovic.
35:22We have 28 threes only here.
35:24That's Cooper erased by Bam Adepayah.
35:28Marsha.
35:29Yes.
35:29A touchdown for Miami.
35:32A 39-point first quarter for Miami.
35:36He scored 37 in the first quarter in their February 8th win at Washington.
35:41That was a night Miami wound up with 132 points and a 31-point blasting of the Wizards.
35:47That's Hardy.
35:49Crouchy Jaden Hardy gets the bucket.
35:51First score for him.
35:53He averages eight points per game.
35:54This is his 10th game as a member of the Wizards.
35:57Played in 34 this year with Dallas.
36:01And Bam and Vukovic tangled up again.
36:04This is going to go against Tristan Vukovic.
36:06Yeah, Vukovic trying to be physical with Bam.
36:08You're trying to slow down the big man who's got 30 points, but you can't be that overzealous,
36:15that far away from the basket.
36:17So, two free throws here for Bam.
36:19I mean, he's got a chance to keep building on this quarter record right now.
36:23John, you played the game 11 years professionally in the NBA and your whole life.
36:29What's it feel like as a player to have a quarter and a stretch like he's at?
36:33I can't relate to this kind of stretch, but look, he right now feels like everything he's throwing up there
36:40is going to go in, and it seemed that way, too.
36:44But the beauty of this is now the defense is overreacting, so he's got them completely off balance.
36:50Any kind of ball fake is going to get them leaving their feet, getting them off balance.
36:55He should be getting to the free-throw line a lot the rest of this game if he continues to
37:00be sparring these fits.
37:01A 40-point first quarter for the Heat, and a missed three by Cooper, and Drew Smith cutaway with a
37:08hip-check foul that goes uncalled.
37:11Well, Bam gets 31 of Miami's 40 first-quarter points.
37:16Yup, he came flying into tonight's game, and he is a man on a mission.
37:22A franchise record, 31 points and a quarter, the most in Heat history.
37:35That's what Bam did in the last game against Detroit on Sunday.
37:39Dwayne Dwayne Wade is the only two iconic Heat players to score over 10,000 career points, all in a
37:45Heat uniform.
37:45Bam ranks first, actually second, in both scoring and rebounding in Heat history.
37:51His 31 first-quarter points tonight, a Heat franchise record, probably the most points he's ever scored in a quarter,
37:58the most field goal attempts he's ever had in a quarter.
38:01He went 10 for 16 for the field.
38:03He was 5 of 8 from downtown.
38:06Heat shot, Johnson opens the second quarter as the Heat center.
38:09The Heat are shorthanded tonight without Kalil Ware and Andrew Wiggins and Norman Powell and Viko Jovich.
38:16But, John, it's so refreshing about Eric Skulstra.
38:19There are a lot of coaches in this league and every other that will latch on to any excuse they
38:24can get
38:25to maybe part in a subpar performance when they're shorthanded.
38:28How many times have you ever heard a spoke complaint about anything?
38:31It's always, we have enough, we can do it.
38:34And again tonight, that Heat depth comes into play.
38:37No, it really does.
38:38And look, a couple other things to point out.
38:40We talked about the outstanding performance of Pam, but Miami's playing with great pace.
38:45They were able to outscore the Wizards 9-0 in fast break points.
38:50That's something they did in a great success in early February to win.
38:54They really got the ball down before they beat their defense down.
38:57The other thing they did well is the defense is forcing down.
39:01Sloppy, but also really impact their defense.
39:04Eight turnovers in the first quarter alone for Washington.
39:08Although the Wizards did shoot 54% in that quarter.
39:11Here's five.
39:11Techie O'Barrie's a three.
39:13Welcome back, Simone.
39:15That was Benissimo, his 100th triple of the season.
39:20Miami in front, 45-31.
39:23They are 6-12 from downtown.
39:25And they are shooting 58% here in the first half.
39:30Another Wizards turnover, their 9th of the game.
39:33Well, the woe-be-gone Wizards.
39:36Techie O'Barrie now the rebound comes down to Washington.
39:41Anthony Gill, the veteran out of the University of Virginia.
39:44John, you talked to Brian Keith, his head coach.
39:47He had nothing but great things to say about Gill.
39:49Yeah, it just feels like he's such a great leader.
39:51It's 6-7, 2-30, plays in their front court.
39:54Just brings it every day.
39:56Real lunch pail guy for them.
39:58Excellent defender.
39:59Let's get more minutes with the sort of the end of the season here
40:03with some of the injuries they have.
40:05Oh, nice defense by Drew Smith.
40:08He forced Sharif Cooper into the turnover,
40:10the 10th turnover for the Wizards.
40:13Fantecchio powers it up and in.
40:16Simone, he missed the last three games.
40:19He's just so happy to be back.
40:22Five points for Simone in a row
40:24and a 16-point lead in this feel-good Tuesday night in Miami.
40:28Mixing it up, Fantecchio inside the paint here.
40:32Driving, attacking, ball fake.
40:34Good.
40:35And he complements that with the earlier three,
40:39which gets the defense running at him hard.
40:42Heat up by 16 with just over 10 minutes.
40:46Two heat hoodies for $80.
40:48Scan that QR code.
40:49Take advantage of the offer while it is still available.
40:54Bam Adebayo tonight becoming the seventh NBA player in history
40:58to score 30 points or more in a first quarter.
41:02But on this game goes.
41:0510-10 left in the half.
41:06Miami ahead, 47-31.
41:09They've already forced 10 turnovers.
41:11It's 11-0 in points off turnovers.
41:13And there's another one.
41:15By the way, Drew Smith already has two steals.
41:17He's got nine steals in the last six quarters from I.
41:23Fantecchio against Gill.
41:27Key shot, shots, and kaboom.
41:30How about that?
41:31He just came back from Sioux Falls to help out the Heat
41:34in his short-handed state.
41:35And the man who won the slam dunk contest,
41:37All-Star Weekend, contributing here in the first half.
41:40It's 50-31.
41:43That lead has ballooned at 19.
41:46That was a brick by heart.
41:48A rebound to Hawkins.
41:52Very professional outlook.
41:53And here in the first quarter is Gill.
41:56Took away the driving lane from Smith.
41:58Key shot, airballed the three.
42:04Will Riley, Kaz Yakutunas' teammate last year at Illinois.
42:08Will Riley, pretty talented player, 6-9.
42:12He's got that ability to stretch the floor, too,
42:15and shoot those three balls, knock that one down.
42:17He stepped out of bounds.
42:19Talking about Will Riley.
42:21He's originally from Kitchener, Ontario.
42:22He was drafted late in June's first round by Utah
42:25and was acquired this year in the exchange for another rookie
42:29in Walter Clayton, Jr., the former Florida Gator.
42:32A big 10, sixth man of the year a season ago, too,
42:35giving his Illinois team a great lift off the bench.
42:39So he's got that ignite ability as a scorer.
42:42Coming off a 19-point game,
42:44and their 18-point loss in New Orleans on Sunday.
42:47By the way, their last two losses coming to Utah and New Orleans,
42:51two other teams that have had really difficult seasons.
42:55Barson for three.
42:58Kens with a rebound.
43:01Fantechia, and he gets fat by Trey Johnson shooting the three.
43:05And, John, I can't imagine how dispiriting it must feel for a Wizards team
43:10that started the year 1-15 and included a 19-game losing streak.
43:14They went to a nine-game January losing streak.
43:17This current eight-game slide,
43:19the second-longest active losing streak in the league.
43:22The eight-string losses by 16 points per game.
43:25But then you come up against two other lightweight teams
43:28that have struggled this year in Utah and New Orleans.
43:31You get beat by double figures in both.
43:33That's very humble.
43:34I mean, New Orleans took them by 20.
43:36Still got two, guys. Still got two.
43:37I mean, that's really demoralizing.
43:40That close out there has got to be better on the Wizards' side.
43:45He ran to the side of Fantechia, but still made contact
43:49and puts Simone on the line for three shots.
43:52I'm happy for Simone's.
43:53He has been out with that groin strain for three games.
43:57He's come in.
43:58He really is in a great rhythm here.
44:01That's an injury, and we know Roman Powell's actually suffering from it as well.
44:06And he's missed five straight.
44:09That could be really difficult to come back.
44:15Watch out by Larson.
44:17Good stick to it.
44:18Missed by a guy that finds that.
44:21Staten Island's own Justin Champagne.
44:24Played a couple of years at Pitt.
44:25Meanwhile, Fantechia has eaten Miami's last 11 points.
44:30It's coming into the game.
44:31Hockett.
44:33Missed on the flip.
44:34Rebound comes down to Trey Johnson.
44:41Good defense by Larson.
44:44Will Riley on his sliding defense by Fantechia.
44:50Gilt able to score.
44:53Anthony Gill averaging four points per game.
44:56He's 33 years old.
44:57He's in his sixth year in the league after being undrafted after his career at Virginia.
45:02The break up for Miami, and here comes Riley of the Wizards.
45:08Rebound of Drew Smith.
45:11Beat up by 15.
45:13The wild for Keyshawn.
45:14Oh, what a target.
45:16The slam dunk champ.
45:17Working from the right side.
45:19Fantechia with a perfect pass over the top.
45:23And Keyshawn finishing.
45:27I would refer to the Wizards defense as a very friendly unit.
45:31Trey Johnson with the score.
45:34Johnson now with 10 points.
45:35That was his second triple to head.
45:38And Miami's going to take a timeout.
45:4155 points on the board for the Heat with
45:43seven minutes remaining in the second quarter.
45:46How about this play?
45:48Fantechia two-on-one.
45:50It's Keyshawn Johnson, one of the most athletic players in the league,
45:54going up top, climbing the ladder.
45:59On the Heat TV for more details.
46:08Welcome back to the Kaseya Center.
46:1117 years ago, yesterday, Dwayne Wade hit that double overtime buzzer,
46:15beating three-pointer against the Chicago Bulls,
46:18which inspired that moment right there.
46:21Getting me a set for heat halftime alongside the coach, Ron Rothstein.
46:24I am Kelly Sacco.
46:25So you know that if Dwayne Wade's watching this,
46:27he's really liking what he's seeing there.
46:29A back-and-forth game to start.
46:31And then the captain put the team on his back.
46:34Fams.
46:36Fams.
46:37There's no words.
46:39But this is a windshield-wiper game.
46:41A lot of possessions.
46:42Back-and-forth, up-and-down, free-flowing.
46:45Anything can happen.
46:46You've got to keep playing.
46:47Stay focused.
46:48So a lot of time left.
46:50Eric Dunn will send it back to you.
46:51All right.
46:52Thank you, Kelly and coach.
46:54Akez.
46:55Bam keeps it alive.
46:57And Jaime will regenerate the Heat offense.
47:00Fontecchio.
47:01Yes.
47:02Simone Fontecchio coming off.
47:05All systems go.
47:08Simone Fontecchio.
47:0911 points in eight minutes off the bench on three of four shooting,
47:13including a couple of triples.
47:15He was hurt by 17.
47:17And the Wizards trailing by this much,
47:19even though they're shooting better than 50% now
47:22on the Alexander Saar jump shot.
47:25He has 15 points for them.
47:2613 of them came in the first quarter.
47:28So it's taking a big jump from a season ago.
47:31He was first-team all-rookie,
47:32but just much more polished Saar
47:36with his ability to score the basketball.
47:38Everything's 17 points a game.
47:40Remember, Saar had two fouls in the first quarter.
47:42He shot Johnson.
47:43Short of the three.
47:44Bam, underneath.
47:45Gets fouled hard from behind by Saar,
47:48who is showing a little bit of frustration on a couple of those fouls.
47:52That's his third foul of the hand.
47:54Well, he got caught behind Bam here as Bam gets on the inside.
47:58And Bam able to get him up with another ball fake.
48:01That will be the third foul on Saar,
48:05who will probably have to sit down here shortly.
48:08Interestingly enough,
48:09his coach is leaving him in with those three fouls.
48:12John Bam had a 31-point game earlier this season at San Antonio.
48:16That's his highest-scoring game of the season.
48:18He's got 31 tonight in 13 first-in minutes.
48:23He shot Johnson out.
48:26Fontecchio out.
48:27Myron Gardner and Kaz Yacuchonis back in.
48:30By the way, Memphis leading Philly early third quarter in Philly, 71-68.
48:36Toronto leading at Houston near the end of the first quarter, 22-21.
48:42Magic or Austin.
48:44It was 59-43.
48:47Bam out of Iowa, 32 points tonight is season high.
48:52His career high is 41.
48:55Nice spin, Champenny able to put it down.
48:58Really nice post up there by Champenny.
49:00Wheeling to the baseline there to get to the glass.
49:04Only a 14-point lead for Miami.
49:06I say only because he had felt like a dominant team tonight.
49:10And there he is.
49:11He's untouchable right now defensively for the Wizards.
49:15He's got 34 points.
49:17Left-hand move there, too, getting that spit move.
49:21He's working.
49:22Works on that left hand before every game.
49:25Around the rim at a bad angle.
49:28Trying to get the ball inside to Saar.
49:30And another turnover by Trey Johnson and the Wizards.
49:34Here's the spin getting to the middle.
49:36Where's the help defense?
49:37There isn't any.
49:38And it allows Bam to operate.
49:40Typically, if you spin in the paint, there's so much heat cult and hands in there.
49:45It could be a turnover, but this Wizards defense is for us out there right now.
49:50John, I referred to it earlier as a very friendly defense.
49:53They allow the second-most points in the league, giving up 123 points per game on the season.
49:59They allow almost 128 a game in their losses.
50:03And there have been plenty of them of 47 defeats this year.
50:07That's a nice score by Riley.
50:08Will Riley will go to the strike.
50:10Chance with a three-point play.
50:11Yeah, it cuts from the weak side of the floor and able to catch that pass on the move.
50:16Draw the contact.
50:18That's one opportunity for Riley.
50:20Two of six.
50:21He's got seven points for the Wizards.
50:24Meanwhile, John Bam Adebayo with 34 points.
50:27The Wizards starting group has 34 points.
50:33Not cast to the bench.
50:37Tell Alarshan back in.
