00:15Il mio figlio è il cervello di questa situazione e è incredibile che è la persona che può
00:22immediatamente trovare un modo di risolvere problemi.
00:26I think that is something that leaders should do today. Do you think that is important that is a woman
00:32in this movie that is a smartphone?
00:34I love that it's the female in the movie that's able to kind of think on her feet and comes
00:40up with solutions.
00:41And she's not just the damsel in distress and just being dragged along on this journey by the male, which
00:47happens a lot in these kind of movies.
00:49So that's one of the reasons why I was attracted to playing the role.
00:51But I definitely think our politicians should take a leaf from Kate's book.
00:55It's about being flexible and responsive to what's happening in the moment.
01:01Steven Spielberg says that for this kind of movies, the more the teeth, the better the movie.
01:07So are you satisfied by the number of the amount of teeth in this book?
01:13There are a lot of teeth in this movie.
01:16Yes, I'm very satisfied with the number of them.
01:18And they're very scary looking teeth as well.
01:21Yeah.
01:22I saw it for the first time actually in LA.
01:25It was at the LA premiere.
01:26And I was blown away by how scary it was because we had drawings by Brad, who's an amazing painter
01:34actually.
01:35So he would paint all the creatures for us and give us these images so that we would understand what
01:39we were kind of reacting to.
01:41But obviously because we were acting against green screen, we don't have anything in real life.
01:46And when I saw how scary they were in the film, I was really blown away.
01:51I was like, you know, because normally when you watch a film, you're not surprised at all.
01:55And you don't really feel very much and you're not terrified because you know what's going to happen.
01:59But in this movie, I was on the edge of my seat.
02:03In this movie, Dwayne Johnson's character says that he loves animals most because you can see where they stand.
02:12And yeah, I want to know, is it true for you?
02:15And if it's so, what can animals teach us?
02:19I think that is very true of animals, but then they can't do a lot, give us a lot that
02:25human beings can.
02:26And I think part of our journey as human beings is understanding that we are as humans flawed and coming
02:34to accept that about each other and accept that about ourselves.
02:37I think that's a really important part of our kind of evolution as human beings and how we grow.
02:42But I think in terms of what animals do offer us is they show us blind faith and blind loyalty
02:48and total unconditional love.
02:53Have you a special relationship with, I don't know, maybe a dog, a cat?
02:58I wish, I wish. I've always wanted a dog, but I travel so much.
03:03My lifestyle is so crazy that I couldn't really have a dog at this stage, so unfortunately.
03:08And I wanted a dog when I was a kid, so my mum surprised me one Christmas and said, we've
03:13got you a pet.
03:14And I was like, oh my gosh, finally a puppy.
03:16And it was a rabbit.
03:18And a rabbit is not the same as a dog.
03:20I mean, you can't take a rabbit for a walk and it's just not the same deal.
03:24So yeah, it didn't really work out.
03:26You did Moonlight, everybody, when we think about you, we think about an elegant and sophisticated actress.
03:36And then you, yeah, and then you do a monster movie.
03:39So why did you want to do a monster movie?
03:42So I wanted to do it because basically what happened after I did Moonlight was that I was basically getting
03:49a lot of characters,
03:52sent a lot of characters that were very similar to Paula.
03:54and I don't like to be typecast.
03:57I like to play a really wide variety of roles.
04:00So I wanted to do something that was like a million miles away from Paula and Kate is as far
04:05as you can get.
04:06Kate, basically in a monster movie, is as far away as you can possibly get from Moonlight.
04:10So hopefully this will just change the way people see me and just know, for them to know really that
04:15I can do anything.
04:16Okay, thank you so much.
04:19They will kill you.
04:22But it will not happen.
04:29George!
04:37Let's save the world.
04:39It will return to my mind.
04:41I'll do it.
04:42Let's save the world.
04:42Let's save the world.
04:42Let's save the world.
04:45Let's save the world.
04:46Let's save the world.
04:46Let's save the world.
04:46Let's save the world.
04:46Let's save the world.
04:47Let's save the world.
04:47Grazie a tutti.
