00:05I just thought there was, um, it was the lovely story about these people centering around Bill's character
00:13who were having certain struggles in their lives and, um, and they sort of all collide and, and affect each
00:23other, um, and understand each other
00:25and sort of, you know, they're irritated by each other but forgive each other and make room for each other
00:31a little bit at the same time
00:32you know, Bill's the centrepiece and he's losing his wife and life is slowing down, feels a bit miserable, a
00:41bit lonely perhaps
00:42and then along comes this neighbour who, um, who's got her own set of struggles and, and I love how
00:50they're, you know, they don't instantly connect
00:52it's like, why should they? They're, you know, she knocked down his tree and fence and messed up his car
00:58and, you know, we don't have to be nicey-nice all the time
01:01and, um, but this young, young boy who's just so pure and innocent, um, sees past all his foibles and,
01:10and not only enjoys him for who he is
01:15teaches him to see, to re-see himself in, in the best possible way.
01:27Well, she's got her own struggles of, of a kind and she's, uh, making ends meet, um, and, um, I
01:34just had a lot of fun creating this character in the preparation
01:38it's always one of the fun parts of our job and, um, piecemealing together lots of different videos from, available
01:47on the internet
01:48and, um, listening to these women talk about the lives that they would like to have
01:54and talking about their hobbies and, you know, looking for a way out
01:59and, um, and, yeah, so I, that's how I learned the dialect as well as, um, manner, certain mannerisms
02:14I loved working with Bill, I was terrified in the beginning
02:17I just thought this is, you know, one of the great comedic geniuses and, and it's gonna be so scary
02:25Um, I just made sure I had that character down and that dialect down because I knew that he could
02:32go in any direction
02:33and whether it was on the page or not
02:35Um, and, uh, once, I mean pretty much from the first day, um, we got on and, and just, I,
02:45I did call on his help at times
02:47I, because I, you know, you trust someone, like, who's, who's as good as that
02:51you know, you think, oh well, how can I make this better, give me an idea, help me
02:55and he would, he's very, he's very supportive
03:05I don't know, it feels both funny and, and touching but not overly sentimental at all
