00:49I think that all of them are actually fairly passionate,
00:52which is why they break the rules so much in this film.
00:55And I think that's probably why I enjoyed our scenes most of all,
00:59because I think between Naomi and myself we get an opportunity to expose
01:02where the characters are a little more vulnerable,
01:05where they are a little bit more passionate,
01:07where they're hiding less of themselves.
01:10Certainly on my behalf, you kind of keep hiding.
01:12Yeah, I do, yeah.
01:14I would say that their passion is directed in the wrong directions.
01:18In problematic directions, definitely.
01:21Yeah.
01:21So I think it's very much, it's horses for courses.
01:25Sometimes it's appropriate to repress things,
01:27but I think a lot of that is the characters acting in this particular film.
01:31I think there's a lot of lying to themselves.
01:33Naomi, your character says that she finds a morality not attractive at all.
01:40Do you agree with her?
01:43Not, well, I don't think she says that,
01:47but I think some of the ways that she actually behaves are quite immoral, actually.
01:53So I do disagree with her in that respect.
01:57For herself, I think she, in that moment, I think she's lying to herself.
02:01She's created her own weirdly configured moral compass.
02:08I think anyone looking from outside would say her moral compass is a little off.
02:14But personally, if you're asking me my opinion, then yes, I'm all about being moral.
02:22I think I have a pretty good moral compass, I would say.
02:25I would say you have a very good moral compass.
02:28And Meadows for Spender Carters, when he has to reflect on things, he goes fishing.
02:37I want to know if you have something like that in your life.
02:40Do you have something that helps you reflect on something?
02:46Where do I go to reflect?
02:49Perversely, probably to work.
02:51Like my brain works well when I have just the right level of distraction.
02:54I like diving into a book or diving into a script because then you get the stimulus.
02:59My brain starts kind of jumping out in directions it wouldn't otherwise.
03:02And then I find that I'm undoing knots from my own life because I've got that activity going on.
03:07So workaholic is the answer to that.
03:10I love a flotation tank that always resets me.
03:13Do you have one?
03:14I don't have one. I would love to have one.
03:17You feel like some person who might have one.
03:18But that's what like resets me.
03:22I know what you're getting for Christmas.
03:25And Naomi, your character says to the Heath Blanchard character that the aroma of hostility runs before her.
03:36And I want to know if it was the same on set with her or she's nice?
03:42I think she's nice.
03:46No, she's definitely nothing like that.
03:49She's absolutely lovely.
03:52She is just so generous.
03:55And the thing we were both saying about Kate is that she's so playful as well.
04:00I love that.
04:01I love that about our profession, actually, that it keeps the child alive in you.
04:05And you really see that with Kate.
04:07She's constantly playing and having fun with it all, which is really inspiring to observe.
04:15And in a movie in which everybody's lying, how do you trust somebody?
04:19How can you find it through, in your opinion?
04:22In that movie, you don't.
04:23I think you trust nobody is exactly how you get through the movie.
04:27I think even as an audience member, the best way to get through this film is trust nobody.
04:32See where you end up at the end.
04:33I think love is always the right thing to put your trust in.
04:37That's what I would say.
04:39I say that doesn't always work out for these characters.
