SKIER TRIGGERS AVALANCHE DURING MOUNTAIN RUN
WITH VID
BY LAKSHYARTHA SHARMA
Watch this clip where a skier accidentally triggers an avalanche while out on a mountain run with a friend.
Jill Frey from Oberursel, Germany, recorded the tense moment as she made her way down the slope — before the snow suddenly fractured and began to slide.
The footage captures the chilling sound of the snowpack breaking apart, sending a sheet of powder cascading down the mountainside.
As the avalanche gathers momentum, the scale of the movement becomes clear, turning what began as a routine ski run into a heart-stopping experience. Thankfully, Jill and her friend were unharmed.
Viewers were quick to react to the dramatic footage.
One user commented: “Well... you can literally see avi debris to the right of where the crown line broke...”
Another added: “Glad you’re all good! Woah.”
