SKIER NARROWLY DEADLY AVALANCHE IN HEART-STOPPING FIRST-PERSON FOOTAGE
WITH VID
BY JAIANSH SHARMA
Check out the terrifying moment a backcountry skier triggers an avalanche and is forced into a scary escape.
Julien Bremont, from Saint-Jorioz, France, captured the intense first-person footage while skiing in the backcountry.
The video shows the skier, dressed in a bright neon lime-green suit, carving down a steep, snow-covered slope when the mountain suddenly fractures beneath him.
Within seconds, a huge slab of snow breaks loose, unleashing a powerful avalanche that begins chasing him downhill.
As the slope collapses, a violent wall of churning snow and debris surges forward, forcing the skier into a desperate race to stay ahead.
He picks up speed, skilfully navigating through the chaos while dodging chunks of snow and maintaining balance through the turbulent powder cloud.
The roaring avalanche closed in behind him, turning the descent into a heart-stopping escape.
He manages to stay upright and was able to avoid being swallowed by the slide.
In a dramatic final moment, the skier veers onto more stable terrain, narrowly escaping as the avalanche rushes past and continues down toward the valley below.
Julien said: “It was a close call, I had to move fast to get out of its path.”
Viewers were left stunned by the near miss in the comments.
One wrote: “The way you handled so good so brave.”
Another added: “Wet slides are no joke! Nicely recovered with the pole for traction!”
