A dramatic video has emerged of a snowboarder outrunning an avalanche just as he is about to get swiped.
The footage, shot at Vasquez Peak, CO, USA on April 3, captures the moment Heath manages to veer to his right in order to avoid the avalanche.
The filmer, Alex Sprockel, explained that Heath decided to ride down the slope even though the terrain had not been skied recently which might have triggered the avalanche.
