00:01Floral tributes continue to grow for 22-year-old Aidan Becker.
00:06Following that tragic incident on Friday night,
00:08friends that knew Mr Becker have come today,
00:11laid bunches of flowers, put down cards and candles
00:14to remember his life that was tragically cut short.
00:17One of his friends told us this morning
00:19that he was a man filled with compassion,
00:21a true good Samaritan who always went out of his way
00:24to look out for others.
00:25And that's exactly what's been echoed around the community, Ros.
00:28Police have also described Mr Becker as a good Samaritan and a hero.
00:33Now, this incident unfolded on Friday evening just before 6 o'clock
00:36when Mr Becker, an off-duty security guard,
00:39was on his way out of the station concourse.
00:42He saw a group of four teenagers allegedly targeting a 14-year-old schoolboy.
00:47They were allegedly trying to rob that 14-year-old schoolboy.
00:52That's when Mr Becker stepped in and tried to break up the incident,
00:55and that's when the group of four teenagers allegedly targeted Mr Becker with a machete.
01:01He was stabbed outside the station concourse
01:03and sadly could not be revived and passed away here.
01:07And tributes are really flowing now from all sections of the local community,
01:11but also at political levels as well.
01:13This happened just outside the local MP's office.
01:17Now, those four teenagers have all been arrested.
01:20Three have been charged with Mr Becker's murder.
01:23They range from 16 right through to 18.
01:26And that 18-year-old man faced the Melbourne Magistrates Court this morning.
01:30He was remanded in custody and will appear in court at a later date.
01:34Police say those four teenagers were all known to them
01:37at the time of Friday's alleged attack.
01:40They're not looking for anyone else,
01:42but their investigation does continue
01:44as the community begins to piece together
01:46a tragic incident at their local train station.
