00:00So, Stephon Diggs is going to be a free agent.
00:02New England Patriots are letting him go after one season.
00:05He had a three-year deal of about 60-some-odd, 66 million dollars.
00:11His 2026 cap hit was going to be 26.5 million dollars.
00:16And they decided, like the Houston Texans before them,
00:20like the Buffalo Bills before them,
00:22and the Minnesota Vikings before them,
00:25that Stephon Diggs is such a pain in the ass
00:27that despite his amazing talent,
00:30they are going to walk away from a deal
00:32for him to be their number one wide receiver.
00:34I wonder if this is related to the off-field issues
00:37because apparently he was a good soldier this season
00:39for them in the locker room,
00:40but we heard about the allegations off the field.
00:43So, his private chef accused him of physical assault,
00:47not sexual assault.
00:48Yeah, physical assault and not paying her.
00:50Right?
00:50Then you have the Cardi B nonsense,
00:51which is, you know, their business.
00:53But I remember it.
00:55But it's happening at the Super Bowl.
00:56Like, don't forget, though, the Buffalo Bills,
00:58when they said goodbye to him
00:59before he went to Houston for that year,
01:01the Bills had, he'd like 32 million dollars
01:03against the salary cap.
01:05So, for them, think about it.
01:06For a team that's desperate
01:08for a number one level wide receiver for Josh Allen,
01:11he was such a pain in the ass, apparently,
01:14well-documented in Buffalo,
01:16that they ate 32 million bucks,
01:19got nothing in return for him
01:21just to get him out of the facility.
01:23Like, that's a special kind of douchery,
01:25don't you think?
01:26Absolutely.
01:27Houston, I can almost excuse
01:28because he got hurt immediately.
01:30Yes, he got hurt pretty quick.
01:31The ACL, right?
01:32Yeah, ACL almost immediately.
01:33But it says something,
01:34and it's just,
01:35you always have to question
01:37when players can't stick anywhere.
01:39It's not everybody else.
01:40It's got to be him.
01:41Yeah, now, the Patriots,
01:42look, to be fair to New England,
01:43they save about 16 million dollars
01:45under the cap.
01:46Yeah.
01:47So, they had to make a decision.
01:48Do we bring back
01:49our best wide receiver,
01:51and it's not even questionable
01:53that Stephon Diggs
01:54is their best wide receiver.
01:57True with the Mac Hollins nonsense,
01:58all right?
01:59Yeah, he's definitely their best wide receiver.
01:59He's their best wide receiver,
02:01and by the way,
02:01had a great year
02:03for a second-year quarterback
02:04in Drake May,
02:05who he learned in the playoffs
02:06is not a very good quarterback.
02:09Stephon Diggs
02:09did him a solid all year long.
02:11But, at 20 million bucks,
02:14or a 15 million to 16 million dollar cap hit,
02:17for a wide receiver
02:18at that talent level,
02:20that's not a bad deal.
02:22No, it's not.
02:23Like, A.J. Brown
02:24makes almost double that.
02:25And I know he's younger and all that,
02:27but I'm, like,
02:28could you imagine
02:29being so good at something
02:31and such a bad guy
02:34that a team that is desperate
02:36for your services,
02:38and not just one team,
02:40multiple teams,
02:41where you are their best wide receiver,
02:44are willing to walk away
02:45from your talent
02:47because of how much of a douche you are.
02:49That doesn't happen that often
02:50in pro sports.
