00:00Passengers at Menston Station can now make fully accessible step-free journeys after
00:05a £7.8 million upgrade. The improvements were delivered through the government's Access
00:11for All programme. They include new lifts, a modern footbridge, improved waiting areas,
00:18upgraded CCTV and tactile paving. Network Rail says the footbridge was installed three
00:24weeks ahead of schedule, with lifts entering service in February after testing. A ribbon
00:29cutting ceremony was held with project partners and local representatives. The scheme was delivered
00:36by Network Rail, Northern, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, the Department for Transport and
00:43Contractor Amcor Giffen.
