Transcript
00:00Spend 24 hours eating with me in Manila, Philippines, the international foodie city I think is about to go viral.
00:06In the city's BGC neighborhood, they've got these food districts on every corner.
00:10Little underground worlds dedicated to the good stuff.
00:13I tried the avocado soft serves that were having a moment.
00:16It was pretty good, but hard to compete when you can walk two feet and be transported to Little Tokyo
00:21by a bento box.
00:22Next up, brunch at the Grand Hyatt.
00:24Recognized by the Michelin Guide as one of the best places to stay, I gotta say the food was worth
00:28the hype.
00:28They do Filipino desserts really well, like ube pastries and taho, a sweet street food made of tofu, sago pearls,
00:35and brown sugar syrup.
00:36If you want to relax, head to the hotel's pool house for their pad thai and fried rice.
00:40And we went to a place called Mamacita's just for their queso because Manila is for cheese lovers.
00:45You'll see little to no tourists at La Paparilla.
00:48Locals love this new wine bar for their seafood and small bites.
00:52Finally, some of the best sushi I've ever had is at this Japanese food hall.
00:55Kiwami's got top-tier ramen, hand rolls, and mozzarella sticks and still feels under the radar, but not for long.
01:02We'll see you anytime.
