00:21The designer created the overall shape of the dragon
00:25which is quite different from the previous dragon
00:28that had been represented on the Rolls Royce before
00:32She wanted to give it some fluidity, some sense of movement
00:36but I'm given a lot of freedom to create all the detailing
00:41and interpret it on my own way
00:43I started working at Rolls Royce around 10 years ago
00:47I studied pharmacy at university
00:51so as you can see I went down quite a different path
00:55but art has always been a passion of mine
01:00To create a 3D effect on this dragon
01:04I'm using multiple shades of red and layering them on the top of each other
01:09I take the primary red colour and mix it with some yellow, some white and some brown
01:16to deepen the dimension of the dragon
01:21In total the part will be lacquered 5 times
01:24This means baking in the oven
01:26and finally sanding each time to wipe it clean of any inclusion and red particles
01:32It's really a slow process and you have to be very meticulous
01:36But I do like a challenge
01:37It forces me to step out of my comfort zone
01:41and that's when I produce my best work
